Feels so darned good to be printing again.🖤 It’s been over a month since I’ve printed because for the most part my life has been lived out of boxes.📦 What a year!🤪 While organizing my new space, I had the intense urge to reprint some of my lino blocks in just black ink.◼️ I never print with just black ink, I always go for color or metallic, usually metallic gold.✨ Then I thought, never say never—do what feels uncomfortable (hearing the voice of one of my favorite design professors in my head, thanks Bryce!). I’m revisiting this hibiscus lino block to try different ink, different paper and a different baren; ta-dah different results.🌺🖤🌺 I want to make a better quality print than the last time I printed this. I usually don’t print with black ink, I love metallic gold or silver the most, but I tried black @cranfieldcolours caligo safe wash ink and I love it.✨🖤✨ Nice consistency and easy to clean up. I really like how this turned out.
