Good Sleep - LaMelo Ball
Summary: hate writing these, so just read and find out.
A/N: This man is the love of my life (and his brothers).
Tumblr media
It was hard, dating an NBA player. Not that it was Melo's fault. He tried to make things as easy as possible. He called whenever he could, making sure to at least check in on me once a day.
It wasn't like I made things any easier. I took a lot of pride in my job and it felt like a lot of the time when he was home, I was busy working.
Which is what I am currently doing. Its around midnight, when I hear the garage open, I know it's Melo. His team was supposed to get back earlier tonight, but their flight got delayed due to weather.
After a few minutes he enters our room. I moved in with him a 6 months ago, since I practically lived there full time anyways. We both also thought it would be a good way to spend more time together.
"Hey, babe." He says walking over to me and giving me a quick kiss on the lips. He heads into our bathroom, getting ready to shower. He hates how he feels after plane rides, always complaining about being dirty. "What are you working on?" He calls from the bathroom.
"Just work stuff." I respond, not having the time to explain. I have to have these reports ready by Monday. I'm a CFO for a major clothing company in the US. We are currently working on expanding to European countries.
Melo showers while I work and before I know it he's climbing into bed. "Babe," He whines, "when are you going to bed?"
"I don't know, soon." I answer, dismissively. He frowns, looking up at me from where he's laying.
"You work to hard. Your not even 22 and your the CFO for a major company. I worry you're gonna work yourself to death." Melo's always hated how hard I work. We've been dating since we were both 19.
I was getting ready to graduate college, when he was getting drafted into the NBA. Being born a genius helped me fast track my schooling and career.
I started interning with the company I currently work at when I was 17, the summer after my junior year. I started working with them when they were just a start up, but in the past four years they have rapidly grown and I've been a part of the process the whole way.
This company is like my baby and I'm the one that has to track everything to make sure we are achieving our goals. I never intended on working here this long, but I love the people I work with (the pay isn't bad either).
They promoted me to CFO when their old one left to work for a bigger company. What an idiot, they didn't have believe in the company and soon ours will be bigger than the one they are working for.
Three hours later and I'm still working, Melo's passed out. After he fell asleep I headed to the office he set up for me, not wanting to wake him.
I have a blanket wrapped around me, with my headphones in and a cup of hot chocolate sitting on the desk. Once I get this done, I'll be on Monday and present to our investors I will be on vacation for the next 9 days.
I haven't told Melo yet, wanting to surprise him since our schedules rarely line up.
I look up from my computer, when I see the hallway light turn on. I take my headphones out, knowing it's Melo. He walks into my office, frowning. "Babe, go to bed." He groans.
"Ok, just give me a few minutes."
"Nope, you always say that and then a few minutes turn into another hour or two and then you're only getting like 2 hours of sleep before you head into the office." He walks over and shuts my laptop, before pulling me out of the chair.
I whine and protest the whole way back to our bed, but he doesn't seem to care. He makes me lay down and tucks me in like I'm a little kid, before climbing in bed next to me.
Once he's in bed his, arm wraps around my waist as he pulls me closer resting his head on my stomach. "Finally, I can sleep now."
"You've been asleep this whole time." I argue.
"Yea, but now I'll get good sleep. I only get good sleep when you're with me." I smile, even though he can't see me. I continue playing with his hair, before we both drift of to sleep in each other's arms.

“Fake Wannabe All-Star” Proves Doubters Wrong
Tumblr media
Tyrese Haliburton is a name that most sports fans should be ready to learn about. Born on the special leap year day of February 29, 2000; the 6′5 point guard from Wisconsin was born with something special about him. Haliburton was drafted out of Iowa State with the 12th pick of the 2020 draft class to the Sacramento Kings. Most basketball fans remember this class through the likes of All-Star Lamelo Ball and 1st overall pick Anthony Edwards. While they may share the spotlight, Haliburton’s rise as steadily been a focus of some select fans. Although he made the All-Rookie 1st Team back in 2021, the Kings seemingly did not think much of his potential because just a couple months later they would trade Haliburton to Indiana. While Sacramento management felt accomplished in aquiring All-Star Domantas Sabonis, many Kings fans were furious at the organization for letting go of a talented young prospect. At this time, Haliburton was averaging 14 ppg (points per game) with about 7 apg (assists per game). With numbers like these, it was uncertain whether he would flourish into a Star, or remain as an essential role player.
After the trade, Haliburton revealed that he cried uncontrollably. At 21 years of age, he had been dealt the harsh reality of life in the NBA. His love for the city or organization had been crushed with a business deal. Although shocked by the news, he manage to tweet out to his fans, “Sacramento, I love y’all! Can’t put all my feelings into words yet, but know I’m forever grateful and appreciative of each and every one of you.”
Now with the Indiana Pacers, Tyrese took a major step into stardom as he no longer had to share the point guard position alongside Kings’ De’Aaron Fox. With the point guard position all to himself, Haliburton exploded this season with his numbers jumping from 15 ppg to 20 ppg this season. His playmaking has also vastly improved as he now leads the entire NBA in assists per game averaging 10 and a half. Haliburton’s defense has also improved as many around the league have claimed. His 1.7 steals per game is in the top 10 of players in that category.
Unfortunately, greatness comes with a price. Hate! No matter how great a player is, or how great of a storyline, there will be haters out there. In Haliburton’s case, we look at former NBA All-Star Wally Szczerbiak. Wally played for multiple teams, however he is best remembered for playing alongside MVP Kevin Garnett on the Minnesota Timberwolves. The former player now turned Basketball Analyst had this to say about Haliburton when he missed a crucial shot in a narrow loss to the New York Knicks. “Mister supposed wannabe fake All-Star with a big miss. He’s a very good player, he’s not going to make the All-Star team. Guys like Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson will make it over Tyrese Haliburton, and tonight we saw why.”
The comments seemed to come from a place of hate and not at all a critique of his play. Some would suggest that Wally should have more empathy given that his only All-Star appearance came down to the wire on whether or not he would make the team. While an arguement can be made about which player deserves to make it, the comments were confusing to Haliburton as he had never mentioned or petitioned to make the All-Star game. He responded saying, ““I know the name Wally Szczerbiak. I couldn’t tell you where he played. Couldn’t tell you what he did as a basketball player. I don’t know. He had a lot to say about me. I was really questioning, first, who is this? And why is he talking about me like this? I think he was just excited about a Knicks win. He’s just doing whatever he can to get attention. That’s just the media these days.”
After a large backlash from the NBA fan base and former NBA player/media member Matt Barnes, Wally Szczerbiak retracted his comments by saying, “I want to apologize personally to Tyrese Haliburton. He’s a wonderful young player and is definitely in the All-Star conversation, along with guys like Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson. It’s going to be interesting to see who makes it. All those three players are wonderful players.”
Although the apology was made, the comments cannot be wiped away from existence. Some fans will choose to use the words “Fake” and “Wannabe” to demean Haliburton’s game. However, Haliburton did not get distracted from this incident. His focus was on playing the reigning Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics on the road. With some excellent shooting and determination, Haliburton proved that he wasn’t some wannabe All-Star has he led his team to a victory against the team with the best record in the NBA. In that game, he put up 33 points and 8 assists while also knocking down 6 triples.
In their next game, the Pacers would face the Miami Heat on the road. This was another tough matchup as the two teams sit at 8th and 9th in the Eastern Conference Standings. Given that the Miami Heat won the Eastern Conference back in 2020 and were in the Conference Finals last season, many believed Miami would win this game. Haliburton had other ideas as he notched a career high 43 points with 10 triples made! To wrap up a spectacular performance, he hit an extraordinary 3 pointer from the edge of the Miami Heat logo in the middle of the court to win the game!
Tumblr media
While doubters can continue to criticize or even hate on Haliburton’s game, there is no question that he likes to prove his doubters wrong. With 2 spectacular performances against the last 2 Conference Champions, there is no question that Tyrese Haliburton deserves a spot in the All-Star Game. If you agree with that statement, don’t forget to vote for Tyrese Haliburton for the All-Star Game on the NBA app.

From international sensations to standout college prospects, the draft showcased a diverse pool of talent ready to make an impact in the NBA. Let's delve into the analysis of the top picks, their skills, and the potential they hold for their respective teams. Here's an analysis of the 2023 NBA draft Top 10 picks : 1. San Antonio Spurs - Victor Wembanyama (France, Center) The Spurs made a clear choice by selecting Wembanyama, a highly regarded international talent. Standing at 7 feet 4 inches, Wembanyama brings exceptional athleticism, scoring ability, and defensive skills. The Spurs hope he can revitalize the franchise and continue their tradition of developing international players into stars. 2. Charlotte Hornets - Brandon Miller (Alabama, Guard) Miller adds length and versatility to the Hornets' lineup. He showcased his NBA potential during his lone season with Alabama, displaying scoring ability and range from beyond the arc. Miller's development and consistent shooting will be crucial for his success alongside LaMelo Ball. 3. Portland Trail Blazers - Scoot Henderson (G League Ignite, Guard) Henderson had the potential to be the top overall pick if not for Wembanyama's presence. He brings explosive ball-handling skills and excellent midrange shooting. The Trail Blazers aim to bolster their backcourt and make a push for contention with the addition of Henderson. 4. Houston Rockets - Amen Thompson (Overtime Elite, Guard) Thompson, one half of the Thompson twins, possesses exceptional ball-handling and court vision. His playmaking ability and defensive prowess make him a valuable asset for the Rockets. Development of his midrange and three-point shooting will determine his impact as a dangerous point guard. 5. Detroit Pistons - Ausar Thompson (Overtime Elite, Guard) Ausar Thompson, the other half of the Thompson twins, brings fantastic size and athleticism to the Pistons. He excels in scoring, passing, and rebounding, and was a dominant force in the Overtime Elite league. Thompson's ability to develop a reliable three-point shot will complement the first overall pick, Cade Cunningham. 6. Orlando Magic - Anthony Black (Arkansas, Guard) Black is a skilled point guard with a strong passing game and a knack for finding open teammates. While primarily a pass-first guard, he also possesses a solid shooting touch. Black's durability and strength will be crucial as he aims to make an impact alongside Cole Anthony. 7. Indiana Pacers - Bilal Coulibaly (Metropolitans 92, Forward) Playing alongside Wembanyama in France, Coulibaly impressed scouts with his potential. Coulibaly's 3-and-D capabilities and steady improvement make him an intriguing prospect. The Pacers will look to develop Coulibaly's skills and patience as they anticipate his future contributions. 8. Washington Wizards - Jarace Walker (Houston, Forward) Walker is an imposing defender with a solid frame and a long wingspan. Offensively, he poses matchup problems, utilizing his strength and agility to score effectively. Walker becomes the first top-10 pick from Houston since the selection of Hakeem Olajuwon in 1984. 9. Utah Jazz - Taylor Hendricks (Central Florida, Forward) Hendricks may be an under-the-radar prospect, but his NBA readiness stands out. He displayed dominant scoring ability, rebounding skills, and shot-blocking prowess in college. Hendricks' versatility and ability to guard multiple positions make him an intriguing fit for the Jazz. 10. Kevin Durant, Returns from injury, scores 23 in winning Suns debut
Charlotte, N.C. -- It was at All-Star Weekend 2019 that Kevin Durant solidified his decision to join forces together with Kyrie Irving as both players became free agents in the summer following. A few decades later, a brand new partnership was revealed in the same arena, but this one with hopes for better results.
First time playing as a part of the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, Durant showed early signs of the devastating one-two punch he could create along with Devin Booker in the victory of 105-91 to end the Charlotte Hornets' five-game winning streak.
Durant recorded 23 points in just 27 minutes, and his jumper appeared like it was rust-free since he had been absent since January. 8 after recuperating from an MCL injury that he sustained while still playing with his team, the Brooklyn Nets.
"I feel like I fit in pretty well. Everybody out there was trying to make me as comfortable as possible," Durant declared. "I just got to keep grinding, man, and this jersey on me will look normal as games go on."
Durant's combination of playmaking with Booker left the greatest impression.
When they took to the court together, certainly they were, as Booker enjoyed a fantastic overall game, scoring 37 points as well as six rebounds and seven assists to form the type of wing-scoring duo which Durant acquired. Durant's purchase was about.
"This is one of those moments that doesn't really feel real," Booker declared. "I mean, it's just every time he shoots the ball, it's just so effortless. You can see defenders trying their hardest to contest or fight over a screen, and he just looks unbothered, unfazed."
It was only when Booker, as well as Durant, were split that the Sun's game plan for Durant and Booker became apparent.
In both periods, Durant played stretches with four bench players. each time the score was from near to double-digit Phoenix leads when he hit several of his signature mid-range jumpers. Durant finished the game with shots of 10-15.
The stretches ensured a comfortable win since the Suns did not trail and Durant finished with a plus-13 rating and was ranked second in the league.
While Durant who was on the first four six-minute shifts, and the final three minutes of his shift as part of a minute restriction was in the sitting area in the sand, the team was Booker who would take on the job, taking 15 of his 26 shots while he was working with Chris Paul, who was credited with 11 assists as per the norm.
After the minutes restriction has been lifted and Durant's participation in conjunction with Booker's increase -- as the coach Monty Williams' plan seems to be -the Suns' potential will be unleashed.
"It's just pretty cool to be able to give the guy the ball and he could get to his spot and get a really good shot," Williams stated. "I thought the team fed off of him just being himself tonight."
The game on Wednesday night wasn't without blemishes but it was a good game. The potential for top-heavy scoring of the Suns scoring have already shown up when only one athlete, Deandre Ayton who was in double figures, scoring 16 points.
Paul who has had an unfavorable shooting season suffered another poor shooting night shooting just 1-of-8. Josh Okogie, who was able to keep his spot as a starter after scoring 18.5 points in a more energized role after the Durant trade and scored four points.
The Suns have also suggested that getting to the foul line could be a challenge in the past with three players that specialize in mid-range shots. The Hornets were without the star LaMelo Ball after LaMelo Ball had a broken ankle earlier in the week also drew 13 free throws.
Kelly Oubre Jr. was the leading scorer in Charlotte by scoring 26 points, however, he only shot 9-of-24 while the Suns were able to hold their Hornets to 36.4 percent on the floor.
However it was a success. Durant rollout was a huge success with a planned strategy that allowed for extra training and practice time as well as the chance to play against one of the teams that are weak in the league.
However, despite that, Durant admitted he was worried.
"New environment, new situation, new teammates, I mean I always feel I got to prove myself to my teammates and my coaches every single day no matter what I've done in the league," Durant declared. "So I feel like there's pressure to be who I am every day."

On August 22, 2001, he entered the world in Chino Hills, California. The Hornets used the third choice in the 2020 NBA draught to take him.
Lamelo Ball Net Worth
As an American professional basketball player, LaMelo Ball has amassed a net worth of $20 million. In August of 2001, LaMelo Ball entered our world in Chino Hills, California. He was born to LaVar Ball and is the brother of LaVar Ball and LiAngelo Ball. After appearing on the Facebook Watch show "Ball in the Family," he became a household name. Likewise, this article may pique your attention Four Good Days In high school, LaMelo Ball was a point guard for Chino Hills High, and later for the SPIRE Institute. When LaMelo Ball played in the JBA in 2018, he was a top player and the league's MVP. He and his siblings were high school state champions, but he decided against attending UCLA to play basketball in favor of a career Down Under. The Hornets of Charlotte, North Carolina, used the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA draught to choose LaMelo. A two-year, $16 million deal with the club followed shortly after.
He Will Be Playing In Lithuania Still.
Ball has been pretty much left to his own devices, with lazy coaches and no one to help him. It shouldn't be a surprise that he's getting the worst possible 23, 8, and 6, and that he's not really getting better as much as he's just playing more.
Tumblr media
Lamelo Ball Net Worth He's shooting a career-low 40 percent from the field (not from three), and half of his 20 shots are from deep. Kelly Oubre and Terry Rozier are the other players who can score for the team. Between them and Ball, they take nearly 60 shots per game and make just over 40 percent of them. Also, none of the three can make more than 36 percent of their threes, and they throw a whopping 26 per game. We hope you read this article George Clooney Net Worth I can't even imagine what it must be like to be on that team and have to watch those three lay bricks all night. It stinks. Again, you've had some bad luck... It's just hard to go from 43 wins to 15, and we're hoping for Victor Wembanyama because he might have the best chance of keeping Ball. wet dream | LaMelo Ball One Shot
Pairing: LaMelo Ball x fem!reader
Word Count: 2,194
Summary: Where reader and Melo are best friends and she has a wet dream about him… they get comfortable talking about their past sexual experience…
A/N: I really loved the concept of this so I’m hoping my execution provides you with satisfaction. And all I gotta say is… call the horny police lmao good night.
WARNINGS. All characters involved are 18+, minors DNI. Contains sexual content, NSFW, all that shit
Tumblr media
Last night, you had a wet dream consisting of you and your best friend Melo… doing it.
It felt good, so good that you were definitely about to orgasm… in your dream… until it was rudely interrupted by the sound of your alarm clock. You woke up unsure of how to feel. You sure as hell knew you did not want the sex to stop.. but with Melo? The thought of it kinda gave you the ick as you had never really looked at him that way… then you thought deeper about the possibility of reliving the dream and you felt the heat rush to your-
The second alarm went off.
You were seeing Melo today and you knew you could not get that dream off your mind. The dream left you in a playful mood. So you figured, why not get him talking.
When you saw him, you looked at him completely different now thanks to that dream. You noticed more of how his lips moved when he talked, his smile, his curls, how he towered over you when you walked together... You admitted to yourself maybe you really did find him attractive but the two of you always openly talked about having relationships with other people but never going into detail about your sex lives. You just knew of each other dating and talking to other people, but that was it.
But, it had been a while since the two of you dated anyone. You had both been so busy and focused on your own careers. Maybe that’s why you had the wet dream…
Since you were feeling all types of emotions, you decided to get bold once the two of you were just chilling in his apartment after spending the day running errands together on your off day from work.
“So what’s your favorite part about sex?” You asked and Melo’s ears perked up, gazing up at you from his phone.
“Woah, where did that come from?” He asked, attempting to hide the smirk growing on his lips as he took a sip from his glass.
“Just curious,” you shrugged. “Just answer the question.”
“Well, what’s your favorite part?” He teased.
“I asked you first,” you smirked, flipping your hair behind you and crossing your legs as you spoke.
“Hmmm, I mean there’s a lot to it,” he shrugged, clicking his phone off and setting it on the table before he spoke.
You tucked your hand under your chin and leaned forward to appear interested in his next words, and you were. You eagerly waited for him to get on with his answer.
“I mean- a woman’s body just looks so good naked,” he shrugged.
You scoffed in response.
“That’s it?”
“Hey you asked, that’s my answer,” he laughed throwing his hands up. “Now what about you?” He pressed.
“Backshots,” you say simply and he starts laughing.
“That’s it?” He laughed.
“I mean-“ you stuttered, feeling the heat run to your cheeks now unsure of how to feel about his response.
“That just sounds like an answer any guy would give,” he said.
“Well, I like being slutted out,” you shrug and he cocks a brow out you instantly. “Hair pulling, when he says nasty shit in my ear… I like that shit,” you smirked while swirling around the remainder of your drink in your cup. You stared at the red liquid before taking one last sip.
“Interesting…” he trails off, adjusting his seated position on the couch before he continues.
“Well if we’re getting in the details like that… I really like when I’m giving her backshots in front of a mirror, slapping her ass and I also like pulling her hair… spitting in her mouth… choking…”
You sat there with your mouth slightly open, trying to hide the fact that you were shocked hearing your best friend speak on this topic in such a casual way. You set your empty cup down on the table.
“I mean, I could go on,” he shrugged chuckling, noticing your shocked face.
“Choking? Really?” You say clearing your throat after your voice cracked. You tried to act surprised as if the thought of getting choked by his own hands did not send shivers down your spine.
As if the thought of what happened in your wet dream had no effect on you.
“Yeah… he trails off. “And hearing her moan because of my dick, it’s really just wraps from there,” he puckered his lips and slowly picked up your glass from the table.
“Want more?” He asked.
Shittttt, you thought, mind already in other places at this point.
“Yes please,” you whispered.
You watched his tall frame as he went to the kitchen to fill up your glass. Eyes focused on pouring the liquid into the glass with his brows furrowed. He came back and sat next to you now.
“Anything you haven’t tried that you wanna try,” you asked while biting your bottom lip.
“I heard eating a girl out with ice can feel good… for her. Maybe for the guy too if he likes that typa shit,” He shrugs.
“Hmmm, I’ve never tried that either, sounds fun,” you say casually, reaching for your refilled glass, Melo grabs your hand before you can even get to it. You let out a small gasp feeling his chilled hand wrap around your wrist.
“Why so curious?” He smirked.
“Oh nothing, bestie,” you sighed, trying to act casual as your heart rate increased rapidly now.
“Aww nah nah don’t bestie me now,” he smirked. “Why you wanna know?”
“Oh-uh, I,” you stammered as his sudden confidence made your brain fuzzy now, as his hand went from your wrist to your neck, gliding his hand over your collarbone before retracting it.
“Tell me… bestie,” he mocked in your tone and you let out a small giggle, remembering he is still your best friend.
“When was the last time someone made you feel good?” He questioned.
You were at a loss for words as you looked down in shyness and your hair fell to the front of your face again.
He used his hand to sweep your hair off the front of your shoulder, leaving your neck exposed to him once more. You sat there with your head tilted, looking into his dark, lust filled eyes unable to form a single sentence.
“Hmm?” He hummed.
“I-uh,” you felt fucking stupid but your head was spinning at this point when you felt him begin planning soft kisses on your exposed neck.
“You were asking all these bold questions, you too shy now baby girl?” He whispered looking back up at you now.
“Melo I-I,”
“You what? Go on, say it,” he chuckled, bringing his thumb to your chin now to bring you face to face with his.
“I- Well uh- last night I had a dream that you and I-“ you gasped unable to hold back now as he began sucking on your neck.
“Had sex? Is that why you was asking all them questions?” He smirked and you feel yourself blush as his confidence that you were so used to seeing was making you feel all shy now.
“I-yes,” you say. Unsure why your own best friend had you stammering a fucking mess at this point.
“Hmm tell me more about that dream… what was it like?” He asked, unable to contain his smug grin at this point now.
“All I can really remember is we-we were on your bed and-“
His finger tips traced your shoulder he ran his pointer finger under the strap of your dress.
“…and?”
“It felt really good,” you trailed off.
“Tell me what did I do to make you feel good?” He asked, bringing his hand to the back of your neck now and pulling you closer to his face.
“We were both naked in your bed and you started off by eating me out slowly…” you said as he got up and pulled you hand.
“Let’s make it feel more real than, hm?” He asked and you got up, following him to the bedroom as he guided you through the door.
Next thing you knew, you were naked on the bed using your elbows to keep you propped up.
Melo gazed at your body with lustful eyes.
He slowly began kissing your stomach, all the way up to your lips. You were wondering all day on what they felt like. So soft and plump, just as you imagined. He made his way back down to your sweet spot and began licking you slowly. You moaned softly trying to contain how good it felt after not feeling this feeling in so long.
“Mmm, so what else happened in that dream of yours, hmm?” He asked while tracing his finger up against your inner thigh in between planting kisses and licking your pussy.
“Melo- I- I can’t,” you gasped. He began sucking on your clit now.
“Yes you can, pretty girl,” he murmured, eyes hooded now as he was so focused on the task.
“When we were fucking you had your hands around my neck… umm… and you were already naked and your tattoos looked so good… really good…”
He smirked in response as you fed his ego. He stopped what he was doing and began undressing. He took his time taking his clothes off, leaving his shirt for last. You were growing impatient now seeing the size of his member and he looked down at you with a smirk.
“You look so beautiful…”
He whispered before flipping you in your stomach and admiring your ass from this view at this moment.
“Tell me what you want me to do,” he mumbled, unable to contain his own groans as he rubbed his tip on you teasing your folds and you whimpered in response.
“Please fuck me,” you begged, desperate to feel his dick.
He slowly entered inside of you before increasing the pace. You both gasped, feeling in a complete state of ecstasy at this new feeling you were sharing with each other.
“So nasty thinking about being slutted out by your own best friend, and you didn’t even want to tell me at first?” He muttered in between strokes. “Damn shame.”
He began increasing his pace, you screamed in pleasure. He got rough with you now, just how you said you liked it. You started regretting talking all that shit, you knew you were going to be sore in the morning, but you did not care.
“Melo- please,” you gasped.
“I’m sorry- I remember you was talking ‘bout how you like being slutted out?,” he groaned while running his hand through his curls with one hand and gripping onto your waist with the other. “Is this too much for you now baby girl?”
You moaned at his filthy words. His hands reached for your neck as gave it a light enough squeeze to send the an increased waves of pleasure down to your pussy.
“Please Melo- no it’s not. I want you,”
He flipped you over, eyes scanning your body and admiring everything about you in this moment.
“Look at me, I wanna see your face when you cum on this dick,” he groaned, putting his hand on your bouncing tits now.
“Oh my God- Melo please don’t stop,” you moaned.
His focus full on your pleasure now, he rubbed your clit as he continued to quicken his thrusts into you. You looked up at him, gripping into his arms and running your hands up his abs and admiring him in this vulnerable state you had never seen him in before. This was more than a dream now, this was real life happening.
His hands explored every curve of your body. Seeing you in this new way made his heart rate increase and eyes fall soft. He admired you in every way now.
You felt a smug smirk grow on your face and Melo quickly noticed. He wrapped his hand around you neck, giving you sloppy wet tongue kisses as you began taste the lingering taste of yourself in his mouth.
You felt your orgasm build up and the release was much needed.
“Shit,” he groaned and he pulled out and nutted on your stomach, running his fingers through his now messy curls. He brought you a towel to clean up and had the biggest smile on his face, you giggled.
You sighed and fell back on the bed, already feeling the tiredness in your body.
“You really wasn’t tryna tell me about that dream huh?” He laughed. “Waited all day and shit.”
“Well,” you threw your hands up. “I was… getting there.”
“If you wanted that all this time,” he said pulling you into a deep kiss, “you shouldn’t have been so scary.. I’ve thought about it too,” he smirked.
“Well… if that’s the case then… round two?” You asked with a smirk.

“I don’t like it“ Jania huffed. “what’s wrong J“ I hugged her from behind, ‘This‘ she squished her stomach. “What?“ I didn’t see anything wrong, she had on a green two piece that complemented her dark skin.I faced her blocking her view of the mirror “I don’t know it’s just I don’t like the way my body is shaped, its either you always see my stretch marks or the bulge of my stomach.“ Jania said teary eyed looking up at me. “It doesn’t matter“ I sighed.”Yes it does”she argued “I love and want the way your mind thinks, I wanna know about every scar, every quote on quote imperfection, your body is how I want it.I’m tired of these plastic hoes I want a real barbie like you“ I held on to her waist, looking her in those beautiful grey eyes they twinkled at me with lust, anticipation and love.”Thanks babe I needed that I still think I’m too chubby“ she looked down. “Jania Israel, when are gonna understand baby fuck all of those skinny ass ‘women’ I love you. Out of all the females that could be here right now looking out this big ass window, my arms wrapped around them s we stare out into Australia, you think your to chubby because of a two piece? I love you naked, clothed, in any and every kind of way.”
She kissed me deeply before responding “LaMelo I don’t deserve you, you care to much and pay attention to so many details small or large. You love hard, show affection, make time for me, complement me when I need it most thank you bubba.“she smiled brightly,”we’re staying here tonight.“ I began to unbutton my shirt.”Why?“ She wiped slightly visible tears away.”Because I don’t wanna go out to eat anymore.“ I began to slid down my jeans and she too began to remove her clothing.”So what are we gonna eat?” Jania stared to look for the remote.”well I’m gonna eat you and then we can have dino nuggets if that’s okay?“ She paused getting on the bed.”That’s fine with me“ she shrugged smirking. I took a moment to admire her beauty, her chocolate skin complement the orange lace set I was damn near drooling until I saw white go over her body. A Blanket. “Mama we just talked about this“ I lied next to her tugging at the blanket.”I know you just make me nervous and comfortable at the same time“ her cheeks flushed a nearly invisible shade of pink.”I know one thing“ I smiled at her “and what’s that my love?“ She batted her natural lashes. “I’m hungry fo- me too“ she cut me off sitting up.”Uh uh no ma’am we are not doing that it’s my turn“ I pushed her hand off my length she once palmed. “Mch“ she sucked her teeth.
”Loose it“ I pushed her up against the headboard softly unhooking the orange lace contraption keeping me from what I wanted.“mch“ Jania sucked her teeth once again at my slow pace kissing down her neck.”Baby?“ I smirked,”yes?“ she barley managed to get out as I started to rub her clit. “You’re wet that’s all“ I remove her underwear and my lips from her neck. “I’ll be back shortly ma’am“ I flashed my bright smile at her aggravated face right where I want her.I left our room and walked toward the hall closet. I grabbed the melatonin we keep for the triplets Three kids are TOUGH. I poured wine into two glasses dropping the small pill in her cup. (Melatonin is natural and safe my baby sister takes it every night before bed. he’s not drugging her it’s just a kink somehow💀) I waited for it to fizzle down then walked back in the room. “You’re back“ J kissed my lips standing on her tippy toes making me giggle lightly.”I don’t like what I see“ She took a sip.”what do you mean“ I sat on the bed.”You have on clothes“ she yawned smirking.”Just boxers“I looked down at my lap.”baby I’m tired“ Jania yawned once again, exactly what I needed. After she went to sleep I threw on some sweats and walked out the door locking it behind me.
Jania Pov
I woke up to something cold around my wrists. I smelled my candle Lust from Victoria secret. I felt around in the bed with my feet but Melo wasn’t there.”Baby!” I called out.”You’re awake” LaMelo smiled at me walking in our room. I had my back arched,my face gently rested in a pillow and my hands cuffed together. I shivered as his warm fingers move in a figure eight motions on my clit.I moaned lightly as he began to move his fingers faster in and out of my core which was now dripping.”Fuck” I said as my legs shook.”baby don’t be so hard on yourself, you beautiful and I love it when you make beautiful juices for me” Lamelo said pushing my ass up further while suck on on my pussy. Which caused slurping sounds to erupt against the four grey walls of our bedroom.”Mmm” He hummed sending vibrations down my spine. I tried to lean forward but he just pulled me back down.”don’t run Israel” he grunted only turning me on more.I wished he would have let me finish but, he removed his tongue from my heat and walked toward the dresser,”Bite on this” his voice was coarse and he had a gag ball in his hand. After putting it on he began to speak,”count for me if you mess up we start over” I shook my head in agreement.”shit tight” he mumbled siding his shaft inside my dripping core making me wince a little at his size.”one” I moaned as he slapped my ass cheek leaving a light pink mark.
15 spanks and two nuts later..............
“Shit just like that“ I yelled as Lamelo began to rub my clit endlessly as he delivered each stroke rapidly throwing my legs over his shoulder.”Don’t ever doubt your beauty“ he whispered in my ear leaving trails of wet kisses down my neck.I dug my nails into his back s I started to cum, but felt emptiness; he pulled out. “Look bro you’ve done this too many times I wanna fuck so fuck me“ I grumbled looking at his back muscles. “Wait“ he replied sharply walking out the room. “I’m tried of this bro” I mumbled walking out of the room also. I grabbed his arm, turned him around and slid his shaft in my mouth.I swirled my tongue around his tip teasing him “mmm“ I hummed sending shivers down his spine.Drool started to pour from my mouth but it only turned him on more, to my surprise he grew even harder.I licked from the base all the way to the tip causing him to groan "fuck” loudly. His body jerked violently as ropes of thick cum shot on my face I licked my fingers from the access cum that dripped down.I motioned LaMelo down to my level after wiping the cu moff my face.”I love the taste of cum on your fingers but I prefer it in my pussy” I said lifting my leg up over his dick and running my baby pink nails down his neck”I-I think th- that’s a good idea” he stuttered. “Couch” I spoke “it’s my turn.” I walked over to him and slowly slid down on his rock hard shaft.
“Ooo“ I moaned as he pushed his dick all the way inside.”bounce“ His voice shudder yet still had roughness in it.”yes daddy“ I smiled deviously and began to bounce. “Do you like how tight my cunt his baby?“ I left kisses down his neck.”Mmm“ he groaned.”Words“ I whispered boldly as his large hands moved my waist in a steady motion.”yes I lo-love how t-tight your c-cu-cunt is“ he contained his moans as best as he could.”you’re so wet“ LaMelo started to suck on my left breast while massaging the other.”Fuck I’m close“ I gripped the back of the couch. LaMelo was slamming my hips down so hard I’m sure the neighbors could hear.”You’re so big“ I moaned massaging his balls which made him pause for a moment in pleasure.”Fuck!“ he grunted as loads of his thick cum shot into me while I came as well.”I want you to fuck my dripping cunt from the back and don’t give me mercy.“ I pouted seductively sliding off his member and arching my back on the other part of the charcoal black sectional.”I don;t know where this is coming from but I love it“ he said slamming into me.”Just like that baby yes.” I moaned
“Can you tell me how much you love this dick?” he griped my neck while roughly pounding into to me.”Mhm I love this big dick so much” I cried cumming ”good girl“ he came all over my back.”You are my pride and joy along with our three beautiful girls“ He kissed my forehead and closed his eyes starting to snore lightly.”I love you lamelo“ and with that I fell asleep as well.
Hope you enjoyed💞💞

Josh Giddey is the NBA draft pick who almost slipped through the cracks
Tumblr media
How Josh Giddey went from being cut by his Australian state team to a potential NBA draft lottery pick.
Josh Giddey knew he was down to his last chance. As he arrived at a multi-day basketball jamboree known as the East Coast Challenge, Giddey was one of 60 youth players competing from the Australian states of Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia hoping to be selected for the prestigious state team.
State basketball is the pathway to a brighter future in the game in Australia, but it had alluded Giddey to this point. Three times he had tried out for state-level basketball, and three times he had received an email at the end of the event telling him he’d been cut. Only 16 years old and already realizing he was at a crossroads in his career, Giddey was determined not to let it happen again.
He had the benefit of a recent growth spurt this time around that taken him up to 6’8 as a point guard. The added height only accentuated the gifts that always made him stand out: his passing and playmaking, and perhaps more importantly his ability to think one step ahead of the next defensive adjustment. After shining at the camp, the anxious hours waiting to hear if he was selected turned into a quiet confidence.
“I kept promising myself I wouldn’t get cut, I wouldn’t get cut, and the last opportunity I had to make the state team I didn’t get cut,” Giddey told SB Nation. “I finally got that one email I was waiting for.”
Giddey’s life has been in overdrive ever since. After shining at a subsequent national event, he was offered a scholarship by the NBA Global Academy at the Australian Institute of Sport. Giddey moved across the country to Canberra, where he would spend the next 18 months developing his game and his body while competing against peer-aged competition around the world. The accolades he earned at the academy eventually led Giddey to become the first Australian player to be tabbed for the Next Stars program in the country’s domestic professional league, the NBL.
After one season with the Adelaide 36ers, Giddey is now on his way to the 2021 NBA Draft. The same player who couldn’t separate himself from his peers in Victoria only two years ago is now projected as a likely lottery pick.
Giddey is at once on a meteoric rise and still just scratching the surface. He’s one of the youngest players in the draft and has a case as one of the most accomplished given his production in a pro league against seasoned adults. He is still growing into his body and refining his jump shot while already possessing the type of mental processing gifts that can’t be taught. It has been a wild ride to bring him to the precipice of his NBA dreams, but Giddey isn’t the type to get overwhelmed by the moment.
“It’s just good to see the work paying off,” he said.

Marty Clarke remembers the first time he identified Giddey as a future prospect to watch during his days as a college assistant coach at WCC power Saint Mary’s. A fellow Australian, Clarke was a former teammate of Josh’s dad, Warrick, who enjoyed a long professional career with the NBL’s Melbourne Tigers and had his No. 6 retired by the club. He saw the traits that could eventually make the young guard the type of player Saint Mary’s would one day want to target, but he knew it was going to be a while before they could do so. Giddey was only 12 years old.
“When I first went to St. Mary’s in 2013, I said coach (Randy) Bennett, there’s a kid I want to put on the board but it will be like seven years before we can get him,” Clarke recalls. “He can really pass with his weak hand. He can pass full court, off the dribble, or from penetration. He was kind of doing a lot of that stuff as a 12-14 year old. Now he’s a 6’8 person who can do that.”
Clarke would eventually get his chance to help develop Giddey in a way neither could have anticipated. When the NBA partnered with the Australian Institute of Sport and Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence in 2017 to launch the NBA Global Academy, Clarke left Saint Mary’s to take a job as its technical director. Clarke was the perfect candidate as someone who previously had experience as a coach at the Australian Institute of Sport, and now had familiarity with American college basketball.
The same place that had produced almost every Australian player to reach the NBA — Andrew Bogut, Matthew Dellavedova, Dante Exum, Joe Ingles, Luc Longley, Aron Baynes, and Patty Mills among them — was now further investing in its connection to the league. Clarke would oversee all aspects of player development and coaching for the 12 high school-aged players who were offered a scholarship to the academy.
“We have a really good blue print,” Clarke said. “The Australian academy has been here for 40 years. This is what this place has always been doing, producing Olympians and future NBA players.”
The NBA launched academies in India, Senegal, Mexico, China over the last 10 years as a year-round development initiative for elite youth prospects. Australia’s Global Academy takes teenagers from around the world. In its partnership with the AIS, players with the Global Academy live in dorms and attend classes while preparing them for life as a professional athlete. Instead of trying to win as many games as possible and compete for championships like a college team, the main goal of the academy is individual development.
The players at the Global Academy go to school and training six days per week with only Sundays off. In a typical week, players will be put through regular full team practices, as well as smaller group sessions that focus on things like connecting the bigs to the smalls by drilling pick-and-rolls and post entries. There’s shooting and skill training every morning before school, as well as weight lifting three times per week, and mindfulness training. Spliced in with all of that is education on nutrition, physiology, and personal learning like financial literacy and social media courses.
“Our goal here is when they leave here, they have lots of options,” Clarke said. “We make sure they’re eligible for universities. We want to make sure every door is open when they leave.”
The Global Academy also plays games against peer-aged teams, and that’s where Giddey continued to raise his profile. Giddey would lead the academy to the championship at the prestigious Torneo Junior Ciutat de L’Hospitalet tournament in Spain and was named MVP of the event. He followed it up with a strong showing at Basketball Without Borders during All-Star Weekend last year in Chicago.
“His development since he got here has been off the charts,” Clarke said. “Because he missed that state-level development, he skipped up to another level and had a lot to learn. He jumped a stage, really.”
Giddey’s time at the academy had given him multiple avenues to explore on what he should do next. That’s when he faced the next flashpoint decision in his burgeoning young career: Was he better off going to college in America or staying home to play in Australia?

Giddey had a long list of American college basketball programs who wanted him. He had standing scholarship offers from Arizona, Colorado, Rutgers, St. John’s, and more. After one college visit in particular, Giddey felt like he was ready to commit.
“I was 99 percent set on college,” Giddey said. “I took a visit to Colorado sometime in 2020, when I left there after my two-day visit, I was ready to commit there. I was about to commit there but my parents said just wait to we get home and we’ll talk about it.
“So I went home and we started talking to some people and they started talking about the NBL Next Star pathway. I met with Jeremy Loeliger, who is the CEO of the NBL, and they really sold it to me. The way they take care of their kids, the opportunity you’ll get to play against grown men at such a young age, I thought that was better for me personally than going to college to play against other kids.”
On April 16, 2020, at just 17 years old, Giddey signed with the Adelaide 36ers of the NBL. He had become the first Australian to take advantage of the league’s ‘Next Stars’ program, which was originally intended to lure top American prospects who didn’t want to play college basketball. Former McDonald’s All-Americans Terrance Ferguson and Brian Bowen were two of the first signees of the program, but it was a decision by LaMelo Ball and R.J. Hampton to sign in Australia that helped convince Giddey it was the best path for him.
“They surprised everyone with how good they were, especially LaMelo,” said Giddey. “It was good to see because it was something I wanted to do. I wanted to be an NBL player and eventually an NBA player. To see those guys come through gave me the confidence to think I could hopefully do something similar.”
Going from youth tournaments against peer-aged competition to playing against grown men was an enormous adjustment. Giddey struggled with it at first. The ambitious passes that defined his time at the youth level were often becoming turnovers in more meaningful games. He was ice cold as a shooter to start the year, hitting just 2-of-20 shots from three-point range over his first seven games. The biggest issue was playing through contact on both ends of the floor.
“I was struggling with the physicality of the league,” Giddey said of the start to his time in the NBL. “You don’t realize how physical the league is until you actually play against guys that are 35 years old and strong, athletic, and quick. It was just a completely different level to junior basketball. I was playing at a fast pace the whole time. I was rushed, I was nervous.”
He points to his second game as his initial breakthrough, when he finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists against South East Melbourne, and was trusted to take the final shot in regulation. Even though he missed, the 36ers would win in overtime, and Giddey started every game the rest of the season.
Giddey was masterful at times as a facilitator, firing passes to open shooters in the corner with either hand and finding unique angles to get the ball to the big man near the basket. Starting center Daniel Johnson had one of the best seasons of his career at age-33 with Giddey at the controls, and fellow teammate (and former Kentucky big man) Isaac Humphries turned into a dependable scorer, as well. Giddey’s three-point shot also started to come around eventually, hitting 36.7 percent of his shots from deep those first 20 attempts.
“The big thing for me early in the year was I was so down on confidence,” Giddey said. “I was so worried if I missed what people were going to say, what scouts were going to think. There was a point where I spoke to one of my teammates and he told me all of this doesn’t matter. Just shoot every shot like you think you’re going to make it. That was when it switched for me.”
Before season’s end, Giddey had run off three triple-doubles over a four-game stretch and had firmly established himself as a first round NBA draft pick. Given his age and the level of competition, Giddey was remarkably productive: he averaged 10.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and a league-leading 7.5 assists per game on 51 percent true shooting.
Those numbers stack up reasonably well to what Ball did in the same league a year earlier as 6’8 playmaking guard at 18 years old. Ball scored more, but slightly less efficiently (47.9 true shooting) while their rebound, assist, and steal numbers were similar. It is worth noting that while Ball was often deemed reckless as a lead decision-maker, Giddey’s turnover rate was significantly highly at 23.7 vs. Ball’s 12.4.
Giddey isn’t as flexible and shifty as a ball handler as LaMelo, but the baseline similarities and statistical profiles in the same league, at the same age will be tempting for teams, especially following Ball’s run to Rookie of the Year after being the No. 3 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
“To see how (Ball’s) game translated to the NBA, it’s made me feel even better about my decision,” Giddey said.
youtube
The appeal of Giddey for NBA teams starts with his intersection of size and passing. Giddey is an impressive facilitator off a live dribble who will fire passes with either hand while on the move. Against a set defense, Giddey is able to make quick decisions with the ball, and loves to zip a two-handed, overhead pass to his big man in the paint. His interior passing is particularly impressive thanks in part to his ability to leverage his length to find creative angles in tight spaces. The big question for his offensive game will be if he can make opposing defenses respect him enough as a scoring threat to fully unlock his playmaking gifts.
There will be serious questions about Giddey’s athleticism and strength, particularly if he has enough standstill burst to beat his man and force the opposing defense into rotation. Even if Giddey can’t put enough pressure on the rim to be a primary creator, he should be custom-made as a ‘connecting’ piece who can be a secondary facilitator and floor spacer as his jump shot comes around. In Clarke’s eyes, it’s Giddey’s overarching feel for the game that will help him overcome the challenges he sees at the next level.
“He’ll often have quiet first quarters or first halves, and then he’ll have monster second halves,” Clarke said. “He can figure things out on the run, and that’s a skill a lot of players don’t have. He can fix things in game.
“It’s not just feel for the game, it’s feel for the opposition and what they’re trying to do to you. A lot of people have feel for the game when the game is mundane and vanilla. He has feel for the game when it’s chaos going on. He can figure things really quickly.”
As the NBA moves into the pre-draft process, Giddey is widely projected to be taken in the lottery. We had Giddey going No. 14 overall to the Golden State Warriors in our mock draft, while ESPN has him going No. 10 overall to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Giddey’s entrance into the league is also an achievement for the academies the NBA invested in around the world. He’ll be the first male athlete to be drafted into the league after being a full-time academy student. Clarke sees Giddey as the type of player the Australian Institute always dreamed about developing.
“He’s kind of the guy we thought of 30 years ago when we started the program,” said Clarke. “Imagine if we had a whole team of 6’8 guys who are multi-dimensional and can pass, dribble, and shoot, defend multiple positions. We’ll stick one big guy in the middle with four guys like that. Josh is kind of exactly that.
“Coaches always ponder what the future is going to be. I think Josh is what we thought about when I first came here 25 years ago.”
If Giddey embodies the dream of what the AIS always hoped to produce, he also came dangerously close to slipping through the cracks. In the course of just over two years, he has gone from a player who couldn’t make it out of his home state to a possible top-10 NBA draft pick. For a player on such a rapid rise, the next question is the most exciting: how much room to Giddey have to grow from here?

Lipstick Looks Good On You | LaMelo Ball One Shot
Pairing: LaMelo Ball x fem!reader
Word Count: 3,510
Summary: You and LaMelo have been friends since childhood. You jokingly bet him that once he makes it to the NBA, he has to take you to the most expensive restaurant in LA. Will he deliver?
Warnings: fluff, and lots of it. :), slight angst.
A/N: I am glad I was finally able to write something. Trust me when I say, writing has been on my mind and I was in search of motivation!!! I am always accepting requests, it takes time to write so I appreciate the patience with it. This idea came to me from this list. I wanted to give them credit as well as maybe it will inspire some of you too. When it comes to longer fanfics.. that is most definitely a work in progress ;) I just wanted to get something posted. I’m pretty new to the Ball Fam Tumblr fandom, but I’ve known of them since they were in high school like me :) Can you guess which Ball Brother is the same age as me right now??
Anyway, despite all that’s going on right now, let’s imagine a non-problematic Melo in this story lmao💀 enjoy!! and Let me know if I should make a part two :))) I most likely will.
•••
Your now famous and ridiculously rich childhood best friend Melo Ball is going to take you out somewhere fancy for a dinner. You both made a bet a long time ago that once he made it to the NBA, he would have to take you to the most expensive restaurant in town. He took it very serious when you asked, and you worried he might forget his promise. Until, he recently texted you;
“This Friday night, 7pm. Be ready.”
You knew right away what he was talking about. A joke and bet you made to him a long time ago, which was actually when you guys were a lot closer. You were having the occasional feelings of regret for making such a huge request from him.
What if people notice the two of you out together? Now feeling a nervous felling in the pit your stomach because all eyes have been on him this entire year.
Since he has been traveling all across the states, it had been a while since you both actually sat down and talked in person. It had been a while since you hung out in general. You worried it was going to be awkward. He still reassured you that he would follow through with his promise back then when you talked about it. You tried to make the best of it as you got ready for the night.
You wore a black maxi dress with black high heels. You were grateful that Melo had bought the dress for you and that he did not choose a loud and obnoxious color, standing out was the last thing you wanted to do. Even though you were going to be at dinner with a famous NBA rookie.
You were not used to dressing up for fancy occasions. You would go to the occasional wedding or outing here and there but you have never worn anything this expensive.
You still stayed in Los Angeles but being further away from the city the better lately. Soemtimes the celebrity drama caught your interest, but as soon as it involves negativity around Ball brothers and Big Baller Brand, you tried to ignore it. You knew the Ball family were great people at heart.
As you did your make up and got ready, you thought about all the fun times you had spent with Melo in the past. You had so many memories watching him prepare on the court in his back yard. Shot after shot, he would make them and he would miss them. You would smile to yourself when he would get a little frustrated when he missed. He worked really hard and you were super proud of him and how far he has come. His dedicated mindset is something you always admired about him. You looked at the clock.
6:30p.m.
“Sooo how’s he picking you up?” Your best friend, Mika, asked.
“To be honest, I’m not sure,” you giggled. “I hope he doesn’t do too much.”
“Girl,” she laughed. “It’s Melo. Of course he’s going to do too much. He got you that dress for just one night!”
You and her both laughed together, listening to music and finished up getting ready, she had helped you get your make-up done up to her standards. With her being a make up artist and you not knowing a single thing about make up besides mascara and lipgloss, she did all the work for you. She was vey proud of her final results.
“Wow, you look amazing,” she looked you up and down. “Are you sure Melo isn’t single?” She asked and you laughed all too quickly.
“Oh God, no, he’s definitely dating someone,” you muttered, admiring you full frame in the mirror as you spoke. “I mean, at least as far as I know. He doesn’t tell me too much detail these days.”
She smacked her lips before she spoke, “You better put him in check.”
You chuckled softly, “Yeahhh.”
“Well, have fun and I can’t wait to hear all the juicy deets,” she yelled as she walked out of your bedroom.
“Stoppp,” you laugh.
You looked at the clock.
6:59 p.m.
“This mufucka better not be late,” you mumble to yourself.
Your phone began to ring and it almost startled you. You fumbled to answer it.
“I’m pulling up right now,” that oh-so familiar voice sent an unexpected turning-feeling in your stomach. “Come out.”
You were taken aback by his assertiveness.
“Coming,” is all you said and you never grabbed all your stuff so quickly.
You went down the elevator and walked out of your apartment building. Not surprised at all by what you saw, Melo stood leaning up against his Blacked-Out Lamborghini, standing tall and matching your energy with an all-black suit.
He had his chains on, and sunglasses over his eyes as if it were bright out. You smiled at the sight. His height caught you by surprise. You remembered him being a couple inches taller than you years back, now he was definitely more than a foot taller. He looked more mature than ever before.
Before he left on his journey with the Charlotte Hornets, the two of you grew really close. It hurt knowing you would not see him as often. You two would often spend a lot of time together. Pondering the what if’s about life. You knew he would make it far. It even scared you to continue being close with him, knowing you were not going to see someone so important to you for a very long time.
But, nonetheless, He looked good. Like really good. Tonight was the night you were seeing him for the first time in months and your goal was to let go and enjoy the night.
“So I see you got the dress I sent you?” He asked, voice sounding deeper than you remember. He admired you for a moment with a smile and pulled you into a hug.
You giggled, “Yes, thank you. Hi Melo.” His cologne filled your nose and brought a calm and relieved feeling to your brain. It’s just Melo, and it was good to see him again and feel his warm embrace.
“How you been?” He asked as he pulled out of the hug and looking into your eyes sincerely. Keeping one hand in yours and spinning you around once so he could get a full view of your look.
“I’ve been alright I guess, it’s been a while, you look taller. Does growing another 5 inches just happen once you sign the contract?” You asked and he chuckled.
“You funny, as a matter of fact yes. It happened as soon as I lifted the pen.”
“You a clown,” you smile. He opens the passenger door for you.
You sat in your seat the was leaning all the way back. You looked behind you as the seat was leaning up as far back as possible.
“Sorry,” he laughed as he sat in the driver’s seat, “that was Gelo.”
“How do I-“ You ask and before you know it, he was reaching over you to adjust your seat on the right hand side of you. Your breath hitched for a moment at his close proximity. You blushed and looked to your left.
“I could have done it,” you blurt out.
“Is all good,” he refuses to meet your gaze as he begins to put the car in drive.
You had never been in a vehicle this luxurious. Besides the occasional luxury car you would be in for an Uber ride. You have never seen anything this nice. He took off and the sound of the engine trailed behind you.
“Sooo why is this the first time I’m getting a ride in your Lamborghini?” You ask him while looking up at him in the driver seat. His eyes stayed fixated on the road.
“Because you said fast driving makes you car sick. But this car was the only one that had a full tank before I left, so I have no choice,” he explained. “And you know I need to hit the dash in the Lambo. There’s no other way to drive it.”
He merged onto the interstate as he spoke, looking over his left shoulder swiftly with a firm grip on the wheel.
“Plus you a grandma,” he smirked.
“I am not,” you laughed. “But you’re not wrong about the car sickness,” you said rubbing your temples. “Slow down.”
He finally looked you in the eye, held eye contact and purposely put his foot in the gas, bringing the car from 60 to 90 real quick.
“Melo!” You put your hand on his cheek and pushed his face back to facing the road. “Pay attention.”
He laughed in response. “See, you are a grandma.”
“Shut up,” you smile. “I missed you. How’s life in the spotlight?”
‘It’s been alright, you know the grind. This season was incredible,” he nodded his head as his spoke.
“It was, you did amazing,” you admit and now you got his head all gassed up, good job.
“Oh you watched?” He asked as if he were surprised you did.
“I mean not everyone can say their childhood best friend plays for the NBA, so I can’t just not watch… but our tv broke so I had to figure out how to watch the games on my phone and yeah that was a whole thing.”
“Tv broke?” He questioned.
“Yup, a couple other things in the apartment too; but the maintenance people haven’t gotten back to us yet. I can’t wait to move,” you sigh in frustration.
“I’ll get you out the hood mamí, I promise” he stated and you burst out laughing.
“Shut the fuck up,” you say jokingly in between laughs.
He continued to drive for another half hour. You looked out the window and peeked at him occasionally, watching him as he drove the two of you. You guys talked and caught up on all that you had not told each other. It felt good to finally see him again and hear all his new stories. You loved to hear him talk about how much he loves the game.
When you arrived at the restaurant, you walked out with a confidence you had never really had before. You felt beautiful. With Melo standing tall next to you as you walked, it almost felt like you were both about to hit the red carpet.
Luckily, there were no paps in sight. You were in a more lowkey area of LA. But you never knew with this city. They are capable of finding you anywhere.
The restaurant had a unique beauty to it like you have never seen before.
“Wow, this is beautiful,” you stare dazed in awe as you both walk in. Looking up at all the chandeliers and lights.
“Who, you?” He asked.
You glared and him trying to hide your smile.
“Oh, yeah, the place is nice too,” he shrugged, “but we not at the spot yet.”
He lead you to another room, which lead to an elevator that took you up to the the highest floor.
You gasped immediately at the view you saw. The view overlooked the city of Los Angeles. It made it look so beautiful in a way. A point of view of the city you had never seen before. This was the perspective you needed.
“Melo- wow,” you couldn’t form a single word.
“I know right, I knew this would be the one, it’s not the most expensive but I knew you would love the view, I know you have a thing for views and-“
You cut him off with a tight hug. A hug tight enough to make him say-
“Oof.”
“Thank you so so much,” you squeeze. You were infamous for giving hugs a little too tight to the Ball Family. Regardless, his large hands squeezed your arms firmly once you released the hug and stared into your eyes for a moment.
“Please, have a seat, the waiter will be up here soon,” the lady that guided us up here smiled and gestured to the single table that was on the patio, snapping you both out of the trance that felt like forever.
“C’mon,” he smiled, “ladies first.”
He pulled out the chair for you to sit. “Such a gentleman,” you tease.
“Momma raised me right,” he smiled grinning ear to ear before sitting down. He settled in his chair and stares at you for a moment.
“What?,” you ask, feeling his eyes on you made you fidget in your seat a bit.
“Nothing, it’s just… lipstick looks good on you,” he smiled, his full set of teeth sending a knot in your stomach.
You can’t help but smile and let out a nervous laugh.
“Thank you. Mika did my make up.”
“She did a great job,” he licked his lips and smiled once more. Seeing his eyes dart from your eyes to you lips caused you to feel the same feeling in your stomach from earlier.
The waiter brought waters in cups that were way too fancy for just water, he greeted the two of you and asked if you were ready to order.
“It’ll be a minute,” you both stated simultaneously and smiled at the waiter.
“Okay, no rush, I’ll be back soon,” he smirked.
You both childishly placed your menus in front of your eyes to where you could not see each other’s full faces. Only peeking over them occasionally to make eye contact. You eventually decided what you wanted and put your menu down.
“So you got a boyfriend yet?” He asked in a mumbling way that you almost barely heard it and it made you nearly spit out your water.
“Huh?”
“You heard me,” he smirks, placing his menu down flat on the table and bringing his hands together.
“Come again?” You cock your head.
“I said, do you have a boyfriend yet?” He asked, this time annunciating each one of his words harder.
You smirked, “why do you asked?”
“Just curious,” he shrugged.
“I don’t-“
“All set to order?” The waiter cut us off.
“Yes-“ You say before Melo can, hoping he had decided at this point.
You both order, and he keeps his eyes glued to your face and you speak to the waiter. Anticipation written all over his face until the waiter walked away.
“I do not, and am not seeing anyone at the moment,” you confirm once more.
“Interesting,” he took a sip from his glass at an attempt to hide the huge smug look on his face, as if you could not see right through it.
“Now it’s my turn to ask you,” you cross your arms over each other, leaning up against the table.
Melo’s eyes darted from you chest to your face for a moment before he spoke. You almost roll your eyes at how quickly his boy brain decided now was the time to look at your boobs.
“It’s complicated,” he shrugged, leaning back in his chair while placing his hands on his lap.
“I don’t like to hear that,” you roll your eyes and slightly turn your body towards the view.
“I’m sorry-“
“No, don’t be, I get it.”
You do not know why you were bothered by him seeing multiple women. It should not concern you. He had the chance to tell you how he felt about you before the season began. You knew deep down he cared about you a lot. But, it was also his first NBA season, and going into it a single man is probably every players dream. He is so attractive and you would not blame the Instagram models for wanting a piece.
He can do as he pleases, and despite the fact that you had even heard the rumors. You did not want them to be true. You just wanted this night to be about you and your best friend catching up.
“Can I ask you something else?” He nudged, but you kept your eyes locked on the view.
“Hmm,” you hummed in response, barley audible.
“If I told you you were on my mind the entire season, would you believe me?”
His words caught you by surprise. Completely. He had barely called and texted you as often as he did before he signed onto the Hornets. Why would he? He has every chance to leave people behind. He could have cut off his entire friend group and it would not have mattered. He started an entirely new and fantastic life.
“I find that hard to believe,” you state coldly.
“Look at me,” he softy demanded, but you were stubborn and wanted to see how far he would go. “Please.”
You gave in, looking down and back up into his eyes. With a concerned look on his face, he continued.
“Before I left,” he continued. “Before I left I knew this time apart would be weird for us. I didn’t want you to hold on to anything. You deserve the best. Friendships, relationships and all. I was just an immature kid not even knowing all what I know now,” he stated.
This was a side of him you had never seen before. Goofy, silly Melo being serious about his feelings? Must be a dream because there is no way.
“I didn’t think the conversation would get this serious before we ate our food,” is all you could say, and Melo laughs.
“Please hear me out,” he pleads, his voice soft and subtle.
“Well then LaMelo, what are you implying?”
“I-“
The waiter arrived with our meals, placing them on the table. Of course it was that sort of fancy restaurant where the portions were small. Melo looked taken aback when the plate was revealed.
“Ummm yeah imma need like one more of a plate of this,” he states and the waiter looks taken aback.
“Please.” Melo finished his sentence with a smile to fix his tone into sounding polite and you cannot help but giggle.
“Oh of course Mr. Ball.” He reassured him and hurried off.
You guys begin eat in silence for what felt like forever. The sounds of the city echoed in the distance, drowning out the silence between the two of you.
“Melo….” You finally begin.
“It’s okay, you don’t have to say anything if you’re not ready. I gotchu,” he states dragging his fork in between is teeth as he spoke.
You put your utensils down before speaking.
“You kept your promise by taking me here. Which I admire a lot. You brought me this beautiful dress and took me to this amazing restaurant. I can’t help but feel like this is all a dream. I missed you so much during your season. I know that you were busy and I understand that. It just makes it all a little hard to believe,” you speak your mind but you are not sure if your jumbled thoughts even made sense at this point.
He nods his head, “I understand.”
“This just feels like a dream, and I don’t want to wake up. We really aren’t kids anymore. This adulting shit is real,” you just shrug and laughs a little, holding back at the burning feeling in the back of your throat.
“Maybe that was too quick for me to say, I’m sorry if it was,” he admits, realizing the sadness in your eyes.
“I wanna have fun tonight and if it’s not to late,” he gets up and holds his hand out. “Come on.”
You take his hand, looking up at him with a small smile on your face.
He leads you to the ledge, that has a fence strong enough for you to feel comfortable to lean on. It still made you nervous though, being up this high.
Melo leans up against it, and you both take a moment to admire the twinkling lights all throughout the city.
“I wasn’t playing though, you are just as beautiful as the chandeliers in the restaurant,” he states and you laugh at his style of compliments. Sweet and goofy.
You lean your head on his arm, without saying a word. This was the picture perfect moment you wanted to last forever.
He slowly lifts his arm around and placed it around your shoulders, before bringing your body to his, closer than you’d ever been to him before. You let out a small gasp as both of his hands sit in our lower back.
He smiles, looking into your eyes. The butterflies in you stomach on full effect now.
“I know you feel that shit too,” he whispered, sinking his teeth into his bottom lip.
You heart skipped a beat at his sudden dominance. You were not going to fight it this time.
“God you look so good tonight baby girl, I missed you so much.”
You took a moment to admire his face from this close. His facial hair was well-trimmed. His curls were so adorably hanging over his forehead. His skin looked so fresh and clean. Everything about him in the moment enticed you. The way his broad shoulder and frame fit so well in his suit. The way he was so confidently looking into your eyes. The way the moonlight shined down on him, bringing a sparkle to both his eyes.
And his smile, oh that smile after he got his braces off was the best smile you had ever seen. And those lips, oh those plump lips that made you just want to-
“Can I please kiss you right now?”

wayyy too early nba playoff predictions
As I write this, the play-in has started with the Nets leading the Cavs. I got the idea to just predict the entire playoffs March Madness style. Keep in mind that I have only recently started to closely follow the NBA again for about a week now? And the rest of my predictions will be based on bias and gut feelings. Who knows, I might get some things right?
Play-In
West 7-8 (Winner will become 7th seed and face #2 Memphis in 1st round): Minnesota def. LA Clippers
Like I said, I haven’t followed these two teams very closely. But I’ve liked Karl Anthony-Towns since he entered the league, and I’ve always had a sort of affinity for the Wolves. Plus I don’t think LA can overcome being without their best players due to injury.
West 9-10 (Winner will face the loser of the 7-8 game for the 8th seed): New Orleans def. San Antonio
I am a fan of the Mavericks. Therefore, I am a fan of the Spurs losing.
West 8th seed game (Winner will become the 8th seed and face #1 Phoenix in the 1st round): New Orleans def. LA Clippers
Again I think the Clippers being without their stars will be their downfall. I know Zion Williamson is questionable due to injury as well but I think NOLA has a better team in general. Then again, these teams are competing to see who will lose to the Suns, so…eh.
East 7-8 (Winner will become 7th seed and face #2 Boston in 1st round): Brooklyn def. Cleveland
Not just saying this because this game has already started by the time I started writing this. The Nets are just the better team, especially with KD and 🙅‍♂️💉🦠 playing. And maybe Ben Simmons comes back soon too. Plus, I like Steve Nash.
East 9-10 (Winner will face the loser of the 7-8 game for the 8th seed): Charlotte def. Atlanta
Bro idk. If anything, this will be a really exciting game between two teams who could definitely make it out of the play-in with their offenses being what they are. Trae Young and LaMelo Ball is a matchup I’m excited for. I chose the Hornets solely because I like their color scheme more than the Hawks’.
East 8th seed game (Winner will become the 8th seed and face #1 Miami in the 1st round): Charlotte def. Cleveland
I think Charlotte will pile on the offense and the Cavs won’t be able to counter it.
West 1st Round
#1 Phoenix def. #8 Pelicans in 4
I can’t see NOLA putting together a good enough game against the Suns even once.
#2 Memphis def. #7 Minnesota in 5
Minnesota could be a long shot, but the Grizzlies have too much going for them. The Wolves might take one or two to make it interesting, but I don’t expect an upset.
#6 Denver def. #3 Golden State in 6
I’m a big fan of Nikola Jokic. And I think in the playoffs, he’ll turn it on to a level that even Steph and Klay can’t keep up with, and just keep rolling with it from there.
#4 Dallas def. #5 Utah in 7
I’m going to be honest with you. With Luka straining his calf in the Mavs’ last regular season game, Dallas’ chances are significantly diminished. But with the assumption that Luka will not miss too many games, I think Dallas can sneak past. Hopefully.
East 1st Round
#1 Miami def. #8 Charlotte in 5
Not really expecting anything big here, but maybe the Hornets steal a game.
#2 Boston def. #7 Brooklyn in 6
I think it would be a very, very competitive series, but I don’t see the Nets putting things together well enough to oust such a solid contender.
#3 Milwaukee def. #6 Chicago in 5
The defending champs could make it all the way back for a second year, and I don’t think the Bulls will do much to disrupt that.
#4 Philadelphia def. #5 Toronto in 7
This is honestly a toss-up for me, but I think James Harden will be a difference-maker in the most critical moments while Joel Embiid has been holding up the team for the most part all series.
West Semifinals
#1 Phoenix def. #4 Dallas in 6
I know, I know, I gotta stick by my team. But at the same time, the Luka injury situation has me scared. And if possibly losing one player shakes my confidence in a team this much? Against the team with the best record in the whole league? Yeah… (I will happily be proven wrong)
#6 Denver def. #2 Memphis in 7
Here’s my big upset call, and it all rides on Jokic being an absolute menace to the Grizzlies on both ends of the court, while Ja has a couple of rare off-days.
East Semifinals
#1 Miami def. #4 Philadelphia in 7
I think Philly has a chance here. But I also think Miami has a more well rounded basketball team that is more likely to succeed in down-to-the-wire situations. Which this series will likely become.
#2 Boston def. #3 Milwaukee in 7
Again a down-to-the-wire series that I think Boston is slightly better suited for. What I like so much about the field in the East is how so many teams have such good chances to make it all the way. All in all, I think the teams with home court advantage get the edge in this round.
Conference Finals
#6 Denver def. #1 Phoenix in 6
I lied, this is my big upset call. At this point Jokic is undeniable offensively and insurmountable on defense. Denver will steal one or two games on the road and clinch their trip to the finals at home.
#2 Boston def. #1 Miami in 7
A toss-up, again. But this time, Jayson Tatum goes off on a couple of these games and moves the needle just slightly in the Celtics’ favor.
NBA Finals
#6 Denver def. #2 Boston in 7
Coming off their sound defeat of Phoenix in the West Finals, Denver keeps carrying their Rocky Mountain avalanche of momentum through the Finals. To get down to it game-by-game, I think Denver takes game 1 in Boston, Boston takes 2 and 3, only for Denver to blow them out in 4. This pisses Boston off just enough for them to win a close game 5. Denver wins game 6 at home, and in game 7, the Nuggets have the ball and a one-possession deficit with seconds left, they’ll put the ball in the hands of Jokic, and he’ll get off a difficult shot that nonetheless falls, and make millions from selling signed prints of whatever iconic photo comes of it.
Conclusion
I’ll make edited prediction posts as each round ends to make up for the many incorrect predictions I likely made 👍
Gosh if I’m right tho. This blog might reach 50 followers.
