hmmgh thinking about laurance but his shadow knight powers connect him to the environment. And he HATES it.
He wants to pretend that he's not changed, that he can go back to a normal life- But he can hear the tremble of the earth as the memories of old gods vibrate through it; he can sense the withering of plants, the decay of corpses in his vicinity.
The feeling he hates the most is the burning, vicious hatred in the back of his consciousness. It's not his - it's old and faded, like the imprints of letters in a worn book. Sometimes, he can't even tell it's there. But he's quickly reminded when he gazes at Irene Aphmau, and it flares with intensity, like an old wound that never healed.
It's not his...right?

Aphmau “Her Wish” [Eps. 1-3 minecraft mini-series]
Guys...I wasn’t prepared for the feels. The biggest twist I wasn’t expecting was that that girl, Renee, was actually Alina from the past. I have so many questions...And the more I think about what Alina was saying to that “warlock,” the more I am putting the pieces of together of why Alina would be  there with Aphmau and Aaron. Alina had forgotten what Aphmau, her own mother, looked like. She vaguely remembers her being so caring as a child, and for those watching her Diaries series, you’ll know that Aphmau did her best to protect her daughter from everything, especially Shad after he took over Aaron’s corpse. This means that something will happen to Aph. She is Irene after all, and a lord responsible for founding an alliance, helping people, and saving her allies and dearest friends. If Alina has forgotten what her mother looks like, it means that Aph will be gone at some point, and the reason will remain unknown until it is revealed to us what could have happened to her.  Alina...never had the chance to know Aaron. Very few knew him, but no one knew him the way Aph did. Their relationship was so deep because of their mutual understanding of the sacrifices and choices it takes to be a good lord. Aph needed someone there to help her overcome so much she had to deal with, and Aaron found someone that he didn’t want to lose after he had lost everything in his life that made him this silent, mysterious, bad guy seeking revenge. Aaron died so that he wouldn’t lose Aph. He wouldn’t even know that she would have Alina as his daughter. Alina grew up without her father around because of his noble sacrifice protecting her mother. Imagine...Having your mother as a leader, a warrior, and this matron of light and justice that is always going around saving lives. Because of this, she is very busy doing her job while also being a good mother. Imagine knowing your father died, and that now his body is being used by the darkest forces of evil that wants to destroy your mother when in truth he would NEVER want that, but the evil possessing him does. Aaron can’t do anything but try to take back control over his body that is being used against him. He is doing everything to protect the woman he loves and the child he discovered he had with her.  Imagine being told by dear family and friends that looked after you since you were a child that your mother and father loved each other a long time ago, and they adore you, but because they are literal gods among men, gods of light and darkness, they will be fighting seemingly for eternity because of their unwanted destinies. Being born from parents like this...You would start questioning what does that make you? You’re just a child. What could you possibly do but have your mother and loved ones protect you from what your father has unwillingly become? Alina must be so torn. What can she believe? She just wants her parents as any child does, and yet she will end up without either in her life when she grows up. Something will happen to them...Between what she’s heard from friends and family and what she experienced with time, which is the truth? She has a wish that she has probably had her whole life; to be with her parents and to have them happily together as they should have been. She wants the life she should have had--that she could have had with them if it wasn’t for the circumstances they were in.  She must have found a way. She gained knowledge that there is a time where her parents will be together again in a timeline where their lives are normal (more or less...), and they are happy together. Alina found an opportunity to see what it would have been like to have her parents under better circumstances, but she knew it had to be in secret...So here comes Renee, some made up cousin she’s disguised as to avoid confusion and looking so similar in appearance to them. Alina is a lord at the age of 15 from what the warlock called her and from what she told Cadenza. Alina is seeing faces of people that she knows personally from the past that took on big roles in society. Apparently in this timeline they are all friends, family, and neighbors. No warriors. No lords. No shadow knights. No Irene and Shad. No war. Everyone in this life are just...people! They’re kind, caring, playful, carefree!  Her reaction upon meeting Zane and Dante seemed speechless. Are they still around when Aphmau is not?
The question she asked the warlock that broke my heart was...”If they’re here, then will I be here too?”
If Aphmau and Aaron are finally happily together in this life, will she be born in this life with them as their daughter too? Will she get to grow up in another life with them in her life? It’s hard to say, but it is a valid question.
