in the interest of being brief, I'll list THREE and ONLY THREE, at random!!!!

while there is still time by jaigeye - the mandalorian, bobadin, and it is hands down my FAVE fic for this ship, I come back to it ALL THE TIME because it feels like such a natural extension/progression of canon and explores the Mandalorian culture as well as din's evolution after confronting the challenging views about his own covert bo-katan forces on him and sajkflsadfhjs its just good fuckin FOOD!!!!!

Closing Time by surveycorpsjean - this is the part where I remind everyone that ffvii is actually my REAL forever fandom LOL! clack, au, and SO SO GOOD!!!! it literally has every single character's personality down PERFECTLY, it's angsty and funny and is everything a clack shipper could want tbh. plus, you've got to love any fic that remembers that jesse, biggs, and wedge exist lol

First Son, Only Son by batneko - one punch man, saigenos, and even tho its comparatively short, I come back to it every month or so, just because it feels so right and I really respect any fic that can dive into saitama's (hinted) sad past and the type of life that would create the character we see! it's angsty and full of hurt/comfort without feeling gratuitous or out of character, and idk!!!!! I'll die in love with this flawless fic!!!!!

oh man, ALL THE ANGST. like, the really really DARK, UPSETTING STUFF LOL! like, I write angsty stuff, but it's not even the TIP of the iceberg when it comes to the fucked up shut I like to get in to lol

will I ever write/post that stuff? who knows! I hope so, but I'm also not a full-on sadist, so I believe a character should suffer as much as possible before they've earned that happy ending 😈

I'm also a huge sucker for abuse-recovery and domestication type fics??? like, when a character has been in survival mode for SO LONG that their loved ones have to essentially show them over a painstakingly long amount of time how to relax because they're around people they can trust/won't hurt them. yeah. that's the stuff.

LMAO THIS QUESTION IS SO CURSED!!!! it feels like I'm humble-bragging about my OWN stuff lololololololol

uh, I guess I'll go with my 2018 cross our hearts fic??? compared to the 2020 fic, it's only gotten a fraction of the same attention which is kind of baffling since it's protocreed AND lengthier lol! but it's taught me a lot about how I write, and also that people are much more interested in longfic than a bunch of AUs or self-contained fics within a prompt challenge. will that affect my fills for the other years? probably not LOL! I've got a bunch more ideas for protocreed AUs, and writing them makes me happy, so I guess ultimately, we'll see!
