My new Passiflora pattern was created exclusively as an entry to the #libertyopencall2018 & I'm so excited 😊to put forward a design. It has long been a dream of mine to have the chance to create a fabric for @libertylondon . I wanted to fuse traditional methods with digital techniques to create an Art Nouveau style pattern for the 21st century. . I have used one of my favourite plants, the exotic passion flower, which was hugely popular with the Victorians in the UK. Although it became less fashionable in the 1900s there is now a renewed worldwide interest in them, both as a attractive climbing plant and for medicinal use. The plant was brought to Europe from South America in the 18th century, echoing Arthur Lasenby Liberty’s ventures and his imports to London from distant foreign lands. . “I was determined not to follow existing fashions but to create new ones.” Arthur Lasenby Liberty . Hampton is a luxurious heavy weight weave. Smooth and soft to touch, this fabric is ideal for upholstery and draping. It also works well with both digital and screen printing, as well as natural and chemical dyes.

Hampton has a commercial rating and has a Martindale rating of 27, 500.

This fabric has been softened with fruit enzymes, hot washed and rinsed to preshrink. Hemp fabrics have no surface treatments. It's naturally antibacterial properties makes it suitable for asthma and allergy sufferers.

When we saw this electric blue velvet gown on @beverlyosu we knew we had seen this exact look somewhere else, turns out Lady gaga had also rocked this same look sometime back, when she went to belgium with Mr.tony Bennett, her dress is by top designer and her friend Brandon v Maxwell, okay let's give you designers and celebrities some style tips for award shows, pay attention now guys... . 1) now the thing with award shows are, you want to wear something unique, custom made or at least something no other celebrity has worn so the case of comparison doesn't come up when you should be owning the red carpet. 2) secondly, you should at least wear the original dress by the designer not another version of it, lest it be termed a "knock off" , which is what this is, the difference in quality is immensely obvious. 3) thirdly, for the designers 'biko nu', it's okay to be inspired by other designers and create something out of their pieces, it is not okay to copy the exact same design! Down to the letter and styling, the colour, style, turban hello! Stop putting your celebrity clients in this situations!!!! ........ Now this brings us to a "who wore it better" situation, the blue dress features a thigh high slit ,one hand, a sweet heart neckline and a train.... hunnay you know we going with Mother monster on this one, the finishing of that dress, the finger gloves and the fitting, she gave life to that outfit.
