Yuta felt himself grow cold, heart aching more with each word that left his lips.

“What are you saying?!” Yelled Mark finally, desperate and angry.

“I’m saying I don’t care about you anymore. I don’t really think I did, the lust all of its gone now.” Yuta shrugged cold and uncaring.

“How can you-HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT!? All these years together! Just because of what happened?! We can still do this! The others support us! You can’t tell me you mean that! I’ll talk to our-“

“I don’t how else to say it but I don’t love you Mark. You bore me.” 

Yuta cut him off before the younger boy could full rise from his seat on the couch. “I don’t want to keep pretending anymore. It’s exhausting and I’m truly over it...over you. I’m flying back to Japan tomorrow. I figured I should tell you since you’ll be paying the rent alone from now o-“

Marks fist colliding with his jaw shut him up. The stinging pain in his ass almost as surprising as the look of shock and anger on Marks cherub cheeks.

“I-“ But Mark had no words for what he had just done. Sure Yuta was being a jerk, breaking his heart and a million promises along the way. But violence was not excusable. Tears filling his eyes, he watched as Yuta picked himself wiping his split lip with the back of his hand, a mirthless laugh echoing in the room.

“Well if that’s all. Guess I’ll see you sometime.” Climbing to his feet Yuta turned away before Mark could see the tears beading the corners of his eyes.

“Yu...You cant mean this!” Marks voice shook and cracked as he leapt forward grabbing desperately at Yutas leather jacket, the same one Mark had gotten him for their anniversary the year before. “Yuta come on! Please it doesn’t have to be like this! We can still-“

But Yuta shook him off with a yank of his arm, looking back over his shoulder at him with cold disgust. Before wordlessly slipping from their shared townhouse and out into the rainy night. Clambering into his packed car and pulling away ignoring the figure dashing through the wet streets behind him until it faltered and faded away.

It wasn’t until he pulled up to the hotel he’d be crashing in that night did Yuta finally breakdown.

“I’m so sorry Mark! I’m so sorry!” The premium leather of the steering wheel quickly becoming soaked with his tears. His anguished cries falling and rising with his pain. Repeating the reasons for this to himself over and over.

“They know you’re gay.” His managers words echoing in his head.

“I never said-“

“They found one of your videos with Mark. They recognized your face, but if we don’t stop this here, even without Marks face it’ll only be a matter of time before the realize its him as well. His career will be over, nct, superm, becoming ceo, all of it.”

Yuta remembered how he’d choked. How he’d asked if his careers end had already been determined then, and how his manager had reminded him of Asia’s views of “gays”.

At first he had tried to fight it, fight them. But after hearing the managers words, their plans to terminate not only his own contract, but marks as well, maybe even secretly shelve and shut down nct...he gave in. He told his manager he would leave quietly, they agreed to put out an apology, one which would state the person with him had been a friend back in japan. Marks dreams would be saved, and that was all Yuta could be grateful for. It was he who had taken the videos, he who had let them be leaked with misscare. It was only right that he fixed things, especially for the one man he loved above all else...even himself.

It had been five days since then, but that time had done nothing to prepare him, to make this all okay. Laying there in his bed, the soup his mother had brought into his room long since cold, wrapped around the pillow he had taken with him. The very last of Marks scent fading from its soft cotton case, as Marks angry broken voice filled the room as he left yet another voicemail for Yuta filling up the last spot in his mailbox.

Not a Guess the Trope, but this time, give ur any thoughts on the following: (i.e. whether you approve of them or not)

MingYo, ForthYo, BeamYo, KitYo, MingBeam, AeyGene, MhokGene, KongM (SOTUS), TwoThird, TineFong, RamDuen, SunKao, TianLongtae, KitYu, MarkYu, TutorZon, PondAe, TinPete.

(unpopular opinion: Wayo is the most shippable character out there. Literally you can ship him with like, anyone.)

Not so much approval as all my thoughts, because no pairing needs approval. But here are all my thoughts, regardless of what they might be!

MingYo/KitYo: Honestly, honestly? MingKit is so fantastically perfect that I have trouble breaking them up.I support adding Yo to them as a threesome, though! MingKitYo is A+ and would be absolutely adorable.

ForthYo: Yeah, sounds good. I’m down for it. I mean, I do love ForthBeam but Yo is also adorable and could just go ahead and maybe... fit right in? Yes, this is just me deciding that I could ship Yo as part of any threesome, though I guess Forth and Beam wouldn't get together if Yo was there... Dunno! But it’s fine, honestly, just fine.

MingBeam: I might need to rewatch 2moons2 to have an opinion on this couple, honestly. I got nothing besides not wanting to break up MingKit because I love them so much. So, not a fan.

AeyGene: This would be the darkest timeline. I think Gene without Nubsib would be very, very susceptible to Aey’s manipulations and lashing out. I could see this happening but it’d be very dark and very unpleasant and would never, ever end happily. Gene can’t help Aey the way he needs and Aey would take Gene apart.

MhokGene: Mhok isn’t good for anyone. He wouldn’t have stood beside Gene, in fact, he might have supported them staying in the closet and hiding. Would not end well.

KongM: Aww, friends to lovers? I think it’d be adorable, tbh. Kong was always so good and so supportive towards his friends. I’d be down for it, as much as I love Arthrit. I could see them being cute and fluffy. Very, very fluffy. Maybe not the most equal relationship, honestly, but fluffy.

TwoThird: Down for it. DOWN FOR IT. Friends to lovers, soft and supportive and adorable! The show would have been half as long and much less dramatic.

TineFong: ... I don’t remember 2gether well enough for this. Sorry.

RamDuen: Ehhhh, wobbly hand? I mean, it could be cute but it could also be just kind of cute. I dunno. I feel like my headcanon of Duen being grey-romantic and asexual colors my feelings about this a lot. I just don’t think Ram would do well in a relationship where the other person had a habit of withdrawing from touch and avoiding direct talks.

SunKao: Uh... Well, Sun is welcome to anyone he wants besides who he ended up with but Pete and Kao had such married vibes. Uh, maybe a threesome again? Down for it!

TianLongtae: I’d be down for this adorable couple! They could transfer and go to the same college and just hang out together all the time and help the village together and be soft and adorable and wander around the town and be beloved village icons.

KitYu/MarkYu: Did anybody say THREEEESOME? Yeah. I do like MarkYu a bit, but I just love them a threesome, no denials. They’d be adorable and Yu would be taken care of and loved and he would be HAPPY and SAFE. My greatest dream.

TutorZon: Hmmm. I’d be okay with it, honestly. Maybe just as a temporary pairing? Like, I feel like they’d try it and decide to be friends but still try it maybe? It’s an interesting one, that’s for sure!

PondAe: ... No thanks. I think Ae would smother Pond in every way and Pond would be constantly frustrated and annoyed. I just don’t think they’d work.

TinPete: You know, if Pete never met Ae in any capacity... maybe. But I think it’d be a very empty relationship. Pete would never be able to drag Tin out of his shell the way Can did because that’s not who Pete is and the relationship would suffer for it. So.. very sad. But possible.
