Ok, prepare to be surprised. August is base off of ... *drumroll* ... Hughie Campbell of The Boys who is masterfully portrayed by Jack Quaid. He is a normie who gets thrown into something crazy just by chance, and chooses to stand and fight for what he believes vs running and hiding. I do try to play him a little bit more on the doofus who likes to challenge the theory of gravity on the regular.

Again, another OC was calling my name. The possibility of an American being in London during the marauders era was wildly interesting. It also gave me a chance to create different HC as apposed to what is offered when playing a Hogwarts grad. It was interesting finding out what little information is canonically available about Ilvermony.

Hey guys, here we have the long awaited prompt, it’s muse based so hopefully it will help those of you who have been struggling with muse. 

Influences;

This prompt is one that you sort of have free reign to do how you want to do it.  It’s an opportunity to share where your character’s muse stems from.  Is it a song, or are they loosely based on yourself, or someone you know in real life. Or like me, do you draw muse from different fictional characters in film and television?  An example would be that Barty is loosely based on the fictional character, Dexter though I also get alot of muse from certain songs like ‘mama’ by My Chemical Romance.   

The second part is less ambiguous, simply tell us why you wanted to write for this specific character. If they are an original character, why did you choose them? 

As with all prompts, this is entirely optional, though we would love it if you could do at least one if you have multiple muses. You can really do whatever you want for the first half, make a playlist, a moodboard, a short and sweet paragraph, just whatever you find easiest!

Yay! A canonical character from Meg. With a fully fleshed out story of.... oh... all we know is he is a brother of Molly’s and dies during the first war at the hands of a gang of deatheaters. And by his back story being so fleshed out she wont take complete control of his story and history and turn it on its head, making him no longer a twin of Fabian’s, but also a Ravenclaw, and spoiler alert.... I really don’t want him to die.

Gideon is quite possibly my favorite character, and I probably let most of my personality shine through his actions. He is quiet and reserved, but willing to lose it all if it mean he could protect his family and beliefs. He is steadfast in what he thinks is right, and listens to his instincts without a care for the outcome. If he had a tattoo it would probably say “its easier to ask for forgiveness then it is to ask for permission.” Which is laughable cause boy oh boy is he a stickler for Magical Law. He just realizes that to play on the same field as his enemies, the rules will probably have to be broken.

what is their current job?  -----     a writer at ‘ witch weekly magazine ’ what do they think about their current job?  -----     enjoyable for the most part, but she longs for the day that she will be taken more seriously by her older colleagues what are some of their past jobs?  -----     none ,   there was never any need to take just any work. once she left hogwarts her parents were happy to continue supporting her until she had a job she really wanted.  what are their hobbies?  -----     she will attend the occasional quidditch match , (either to play or watch)   and was even able to get a press pass to go behind the scenes at last year’s quidditch world cup. she may also be found shopping up a storm in the finest clothing stores.   educational background?  -----     whilst at hogwarts she was known as a very ‘ type A ’ pupil ,   ambitious and rigidly organised. it was due to this that she did extremely well in her NEWTS ,   but it never came easily for her. she had to work hard for every outstanding she got. intelligence level?  -----     whilst she is rather cunning, she is not naturally ‘ book smart ’, but hides it well.  do they have any specialist training?  -----     major in quidditch with a minor in being a bitch. do they have a natural talent for something?  -----     she is naturally athletic and therefore had no problems in getting onto the slytherin quidditch team in her second year despite the stiff competition.  do they play a sport? are they any good?  -----     quidditch and yes ,  unapologetically so.  though she never had any desire to play in the professional leagues ,   she still enjoys playing for a team local to her home in shrewsbury when she has the time. what is their socioeconomic status?   -----     though she does not yet make a lot of galleons at witch weekly,  her parents have more than enough to support her lavish lifestyle.

- Has their allegiance changed or has it grown stronger? no chance in changing. she is standing with the deatheaters even if it kills her, as long as she can confirm that nothing will happen to viggo. 

- What has led them to be on the side they’re on?  (familial ties, personal choice etc) voldemort fourcing her to choose between killing her muggle born fiance or being tourtured to death alongside him, as well as her father, mother, and younger brother. 

- Where do they see themselves after the war? really doesnt like to plan that far ahead. last time she had life plans it really bit her in the ass. 

-What does your character hope to achieve during the war? safety for viggo.

-If your character could speak to a younger version of themselves, what do you think they would say? stay away from greggory. it is for his own safety. 

- What are some new or unshared head cannons you have for your character? violet longs to have some sort of friend for connection, but will fight tooth and nail to not let it happen. she doesnt want to ever have to kill someone else she cares about again.

Amos has never had so much as a shadow of a doubt about what side he ought to be on.  It has possibly grown stronger since the attacks started, though he has next to no belief in the current Minister. 

- What has led them to be on the side they’re on?  (familial ties, personal choice etc)

Though it was definitely instilled in him from a fairly young age, Amos mostly came to the conclusion on his own. Being a Gryffindor, he witnessed alot of his fellow house mates fall victim to harassment from certain others.  Though he is a pureblood, and mostly was left alone, he tried to do his best, sometimes even stepping in for his friends. Amos is not a vengefull person, but people like that know how to press his buttons.  He knew from a pretty young age that he didn’t want anything to do with people who thought that sort of behaviour was acceptable.

- Where do they see themselves after the war?

Mostly, I don’t think Amos thinks about himself enough.  So he probably just hopes that his friends and family are safe and survive the war.  

-What does your character hope to achieve during the war?

Amos knows that in his position at work, he could make somewhat of a difference, being a senior Ministry employee, he knows his voice is more likely to be heard than others.  So I think he hopes that he can make some kind of a difference within the Minister itself. 

-If your character could speak to a younger version of themselves, what do you think they would say?

To not care as much about studying, and to enjoy himself more as a teenager.  Not every weekend has to be a study weekend. 

- What are some new or unshared head cannons you have for your character?

Amos is actually a really good broom flyer, he played for Gryffindor during his time at Hogwarts as a chaser, and keeps meaning to get back into it, though struggles to find the time.

He feels immensely guilty about his breakup with Amelia, but he also doesn’t think he ought to bring it up with her, because he doesn’t want to hurt her....again. 

He wants more than anything to be a father, he has almost everything else he wanted for himself, a good career, a nice home, good friends... but he still hasn’t settled down. 

Amos was told by his divination professor that he had a ‘gift’ for foreseeing.  Though, he thought it was nonsense and dropped the subject.  But... he does on occasion have dreams which turn out to be visions, sometimes of absolutely nothing to note, like it raining the next day.... or something horrible happening.

Veritaserum Prompt;; 

Hey guys, as with every prompt this is optional, but I’d love it if everyone took part!  For those of you with multiple characters, you don’t have to do them all.    I was thinking about the time off we’ve had from writing, and how theres still so many things about my boys that I know, but you all probably don’t because it’s never came up in a thread, so going off that, I wondered if you felt the same about your characters.  Little details about them that maybe only you know, and to add a little something, for this prompt we will be answering as our characters, not as ourselves, or as their writers.  I will post my own shortly after this if you need an example!  Your answers can be as detailed or as vague as you like, it can be only dialogue or it can be more of a self para if you’d prefer!  Your answers can be silly or serious, honestly its entirely up to you guys <3

Hey guys! Mirror of Erised Prompt;;

To help us get back into the swing of things, which I know is an ongoing issue with life being the way it is right now, I thought we could do another prompt.  Steering away from the war for a moment, the point of this prompt is to really get at our characters hearts, their deepest wants and desires.  

As is the case with all prompts, this is not mandatory, but if like me your struggling to get into your characters heads, I really think this might help. Below are the questions you should answer in this prompt, please try and complete it for at least one of your characters and you can be as vague or deep with your answers, as you like. 

If your character looked into the mirror of Erised at this point in their life, what would they see?

Would what the mirror shows them, be a surprise even to them?  And if not, why not?  Would they be accepting and know what they would see? 

Are your character’s desires attainable?  And if not, why not?

Do you think they would be likely to waste away infront of the mirror, or do you think your character wouldn’t accept the mirrors image?

-Has their allegiance changed or has it grown stronger? following the attack, gideon has grown more staunch in his support of the order. -What has led them to be on the side they’re on?  (familial ties, personal choice etc) fabian. and it wasn't that hard of a choice to make in the first place, fabian just beat him to it. being a pureblood meant nothing to gideon. he knew plenty of muggle borns and befriended quite a few, and for a small group to feel like they didnt belong really rubbed gideon the wrong way. -Where do they see themselves after the war? settling down. probably moving to the country side. he would love to have kids one day. a big happy family is his life goal. -What does your character hope to achieve during the war? acceptance for all, regardless of their background or bloodmix. -If your character could speak to a younger version of themselves, what do you think they would say? its ok that you werent sorted into gryffindor. just means your intelligence is weapon. use it wisely. -What are some new or unshared head cannons you have for your character? that gideon survives  that he is the youngest prewett, and loves spending his free time with his siblings and nephews at the burrow.

-What does your character hope to achieve during the war? uh, survival?

-If your character could speak to a younger version of themselves, what do you think they would say? england is not safe. do not come to england. they are at war with someone!

- What are some new or unshared head cannons you have for your character? august will eventually side with the order. not like there will ever be an invitation sent his way by the deatheaters.
