#this is a hater moment but. #god the gomens fandom was so much better in 2019 there was so much religious meta #discussions of catholic and jewish beliefs and behaviours in aziraphale and crowley #most people acknowledged that aziraphale is a massive bitch #more people knew the book #yeah the discussions about queerbaiting were stupid #but aziraphale and crowley were so unique. they were an old married couple. they were platonic. they had their own thing going on #also there was just more to be analysed in s1 and people were RUNNING with it #the free will! heaven and hell being the same! the role of god in the story! the humanity!! #the fandom was never perfect #but now it's just WILDLY mischaracterised and woobified versions of a&c everywhere #it's hard to recognise it as good omens anymore...... #i was hyperfixating on good omens for all of 2019 and more #and watching it - and the fandom - become a woobified hollow version of itself is just sad you know #okay hater moment over #I just feel like I was pretty quiet about s2 when it came out? and now that s3 is confirmed I'm like. actually I have opinions #elven-child rambles into the void #good omens critical #<- if anyone has the tag blocked
