Nif-Point Moral Evaluation: Hyness from Kirby: Star Allies

Three posts in and I'm already going over a rather complicated fellow. Now, I want to go over the characters in chronological order, but Hyness? Hyness is an exception, and I have a good reason for this: From my pov, he has committed the most vile atrocities in the series, and this is fucking Kirby we're talking about. The series needs a good heinousness standard to judge the other villains in the series.
What is Kirby?
Kirby is a lighthearted game series about a lil round pink thing going on adventures to save Popstar from the weekly threat. In Star Allies, the Jamba Cult is performing a dark ritual to bring about Void Termina, which could bring about the end times, and Kirby doesn't want that and neither does the rest of the universe.
Who is Hyness? What does he do?
Hyness is the leader of the Jamba Cult.
Before the events of the game, Hyness was a talented mage who used his powers to save the lives of three women- Fransisca, Flamberge, and Zan Partizanne. To do so, he gave each of them powers to combat the situations they were in- Fransisca was freezing to death, so she was given domain over ice. Flamberge was suffocating in a fire, so she was given domain over fire. Zan Partizanne attempted suicide by lightning strike, so she was given domain over lightning. Each of these three women looked up to him, and he was happy to adopt them as their father and lead them, now dubbed the three mage-sisters, to a better land as the priest of a God, which he believed Void to be.
Eventually, however, Hyness himself would be consumed with anger over the Ancients having banished him and his clan to the edge of the galaxy. Once he actively forsakes his own heart, he would be further consumed by a spiral of madness. Early on in his manic episodes, he would ask Zan Partizanne to do something about it if he became worse, which he did. Over time, he became a far crueler version of himself, becoming the abusive father and cult leader we see him in the game proper.
At the start of the game, Hyness attempts to properly summon Void Termina so he can take revenge on those who wronged him, but due to not properly understanding it, the Jamba Heart broke. His daughters chased after the pieces, while Kirby was granted a heart on one of the spears that kept void Sealed. The heart pieces possessed countless denizens across the galaxy, King Dedede and Meta Knight included.
He takes a backseat for most of the game until near the end of the main story, when Zan Partizanne was defeated for a second time. Hyness was summoning heart pieces for himself at the time, but turned around to face Kirby and his allies. In approaching them, he actively and carelessly batted away Zan Partizanne before carelessly ranting about his motives and attempting to kill Kirby. Once he's down, he summons his daughters and draws their life force to himself to heal him, quite literally using their hardened bodies in the second fight as weapons and shields. It's clear at this point that he sees his daughters as tools to use and abuse, rather than as people. If that wasn't enough, once he's defeated again, he staggers to the jamba heart and, as a last ditch effort, callously sacrifices his daughters and himself to the heart, successfully summoning Void Termina and actively putting the universe at stake.
After he and his daughters are freed by Kirby, Hyness eventually opens a portal to Another Dimension (yes it's literally just called that) and falls in it. In Another Dimension, the darkness in his heart took physical form and completely enveloped him. Once freed, he's become a husk of his former self as he tries to ward off Kirby one last time, ultimately being defeated one last time.
Once the mage-sisters fight Kirby one last time, Kirby decides to heal them from the darkness, causing them to decide to let Kirby and his allies go home. Once he leaves, one last heart falls on Hyness, reverting to his original benevolent self in the process. The three mage-sisters immediately rush to his side and try to make sure he's alright.
Afterwards, it's unclear what happens to him, but it's clear they're on good terms.
Okay, I want to start out by saying that despite all the horrific actions that Hyness committed, I can't call him a bad guy at the end of his run. Even if he brought his insanity upon himself, he still committed his worst actions while insane. There was a time when he was a genuinely good father and a good person in general, and I think it's clear that he wants to return to his former kindhearted nature, especially judging by the art where he's seen as a shadow on a beach scene depicting the three mage-sisters.

Of course this isn't to downplay, let alone excuse his atrocities. Using his own daughters as tools, then killing them to threaten the entire universe isn't exactly a good look. Even if he was insane, he still actively turned to his desire for revenge and ruined his daughters and even himself in the process.
I think the takeaway for Hyness, specifically, however, is that even the most vile and godawful people can still just be better in the future if they wish to be. His redemption is also vital to the three mage-sisters' happy ending. And given his past record (before he turned evil at least lmao), I'm pretty confident that Hyness will at least eventually be deserving of one as well, even if we never get to see it. I think, having taken all this into consideration, the lowest possible Good score is appropriate for him to me.

Gonna start out with this lil guy as a test drive :)
Who is Kirby? What does he do?
Kirby from the Kirby franchise is a loveable lil guy who just likes sweets and friends. He is also a major hero known throughout all of Popstar. Now, this lil guy has 30 real life years of history behind him, so i think I'm going to go for a shorthand version of his actions.
The amount of times he saved Popstar from your wildest threats imaginable is... Well, quite a few, really. He killed Nightmare after (unintentionally) releasing him from his seal, he fought off Dark Matter three times in a row, he got betrayed by two separate characters (both of whom wanted power over Popstar, of course) and kicked both their asses, one time he went to fucking space and faced off against a cult and their dark god who threatened the entire universe. Actually, that wasn't even the first time he saved the universe: in Planet Robobot, he destroyed a being who attempted to kill all organic life. In Return to Dreamland, he faced off against a wizard who tried to conquer the universe, only to be assimilated by the artifact he used to take it over. What I'm getting at is that he's responsible for the safety of Popstar and the universe as a whole several times over.
But it doesn't even stop there- Kirby's also known for being a very good friend and a positive influence to others in general. The most notable example is King Dedede, a tyrant who stole all the food in Dreamland in the very first game, but had a change of heart once he had his ass beaten by Kirby and tried to do good in the next, albeit in a very roundabout way with no communication at all. In his most recent outing, King Dedede put himself in harm's way to save a single waddle dee fresh out of possession, and it's clear he wouldn't have done that without Kirby's influence. This isn't even the only case- Gooey was shaped by Kirby's love and attention, the villain of Return to Dreamland ended up regretting the harm he caused to Kirby, Taranza was able to stand up to Queen Sectonia because of Kirby, and there are probably a few other cases.
Kirby, due to all of this, is both very admirable and very simple. He's the hero. The good guy that you always play as, for good reason. Due to all this, I don't think I can say anything bad about him. There aren't any qualities that get in the way of his heroism (Kirby's Avalanche is NOT canon), he seems to understand the moral implications of his actions since he's happy when his friends are, and if Meta Knight and Galacta Knight are the same species as him then Kirby is technically also capable of being evil, meaning he does in fact have moral agency.

Nif-Point Moral Scale
Because I am an absolutely ridiculous individual, I have devised a 100 (DEC36)-point scale for the morality of fictional characters that takes advantage of the Seximal numeric system by using exactly 2 digits to their fullest.
Here's how it goes:
the scale only uses the numbers 0-5. Both digits are displayed no matter what.
As the extremes, 00 and 55 are specifically for Complete Monsters and Pure of Hearts, respectively.
The system uses a Seximal numbering system so that the first digit can break the scale into 6 segments, and the second can break each segment into sub-segments. From best to worst are as follows:
5X- Strongly Good
4X- Good
3X- Grey, leaning Good
2X- Grey, leaning Evil
1X- Evil
0X- Strongly Evil
Factors that go into the scale are as follows:
Actions committed, both Good and Bad. This also includes whether or not they stand out against other characters in general, as well as in the same work and in-universe systems they operate with. I also want to judge the impact said actions have on the story, take their resources into account, etc.
Redeeming and Corrupting qualities. Subversions of said qualities are taken into account.
Moral Agency. If a character has things hindering their capabilities to make moral choices, then they get pulled towards Grey. If they completely lack moral agency, then they are incapable of being ranked.
The tone of their character. If they're Evil, but their presence somehow lightens the tone of the work (both through comedic moments and sympathy), that would give them points. By contrast, if they're Good but they personally darken the tone, that would deduct points.
Characters' rankings would be decided through two polls- one to indicate the first number, and one to indicate the second. This can only apply to fictional characters. No Real-Life people are allowed period. Re-Evaluations are allowed if people call for it. Efforts to evaluate characters may be decentralized.
Now that I have thrown this out there, have fun arguing whether your blorbo is a 43 or 44!

What's the work?
I think I've talked about Kirby before.
Kirby's Adventure is a silly little NES game where Kirby gets his iconic copy abilities for the first time. The plot is simple, where King Dedede for an unexplained reason breaks the star rod and keeps the shards scattered across Dreamland, rendering the residents unable to dream.
Who is Nightmare? What does he do?
Nightmare is the true main villain and final boss of Kirby's Adventure. It turns out, Nightmare had plans to take over Dreamland but King Dedede was aware of this and tried to stop him by, well, breaking the star rod. This kept him sealed in the fountain of dreams until Kirby intervened and placed the Star Rod back in its rightful place, which unintentionally unsealed him, making him able to resume his plans until Kirby used the Star Rod to kick his ass.
And that's... kind of it, honestly. He's definitely unambiguously evil, but the fact that he 1) is basically a Generic Doomsday Villain, and 2) barely tries to do anything when another villain I've already talked about is an abusive father and cult leader who tries to eradicate the entire universe out of a petty sense of revenge and only ranks higher than him because he got a clean slate and took advantage of it makes him one of the least evil Kirby villains of all time really
