Day 5: ancient regions + returning home (faller!blue au)

Blue has an encounter with a glowing crack in the sky, an Ultra Wormhole. In the next blink of an eye, he’s Vir of the Royal Orchid Family. There’s something inside him that bellows, resounding deep within the depths of his muddled mind, of how he’s forgotten something important. (In which Blue falls through an Ultra Wormhole, forgets his life, and starts anew.)

cw: time travel, amnesia, minor character death? (old ancient people die), original characters, murder, a lot of exposition before the shippy stuff, mistaken identity

Hello,your story about faller blue was amazing.It give me some questions too,like would Takao spare Maya?Or he would've killed her too during the fall of the empire,because in the fanfic it said that Takao lamented her loss but also had hatred towards the royals.

oh thank you for this ask! i had to reread the fic to remember what i did and didn't include when writing the characters, it's been a bit of time since i posted it!

Maya and Haku hold a special place in Takao's heart! They're his best friends. Takao hates everything the empire stands for but Maya has always been a bit distant from it all, disinterested and wishing for a more normal life. Takao can sympathize, he's never had plans to join the guardsmen but after being uprooted from home, his people had to pledge allegiance to the royal family by working for them.

But Takao's convictions mean that he's dead set on his revenge. His goal was to destroy the castle and the temple, burn everything to ashes so that there isn't anything left to rebuild upon, he doesn't care whoever goes down with it. Nothing would have made him stop. If Maya was there for it, just like Haku was, he would look her in the eyes so she'd see his anguish and rage. He wouldn't ask for forgiveness or be struck with guilt, but he would bare his soul so she won't die without knowing his reasons.

Still though, when all of it was done, and Haku survived and went on to look for Maya, Takao never sought after them.
