1: Excluding murder, what is the worst thing your OC has ever done?

Oh it’s definitely torture for information. Consciously and unconsciously, if he needed information out of someone in the midst of a mission he would do anything he needed to.

I don’t think the guilt follows him or anything, though, the whole situation of him working there is fucked and he’s moved on from that of he just straight up has no memory of a lot of it.

5: What is your OC's moral code?

It’s mostly do as little harm and as much good as he can manage. He’s done a lot of bad things against his will for most of his life and now he wants to just help where he can and live a vaguely peaceful life. He doesn’t really get the latter, because his life is a nightmare. Because I think it’s funny most of the time.

Maybe if he wasn’t such a pushover it would be ‘do no harm, take no shit’ but he will just take whatever insults people dish out at him until they’re done, LMAO.

14: What is your OC's "villain song"?

Ohhh that’s a really good one. For context, it would be if he either continued to stay at Arasaka and be at the mercy of his parents’ experiments about cyberware capacity or if he went back in exchange for his friend and romantic partner Mistletoe getting treatment for her own issues. So he’d be so overloaded and his brain would be soup from everything he would just be blindly following whatever directions he would be given until 100% completion. Almost all traces of him gone, or at least what good parts there are.

But yeah some absolutely emotionless 5’5” Borg adjacent guy is chasing you down the streets of Night City and this is playing, wyd other than knowing you’re fucked.

3: Has your OC killed a friend/family member/loved one?

So there's two separate occasions:

He was very badly flirting with another counterintel agent for a while and he finally managed to come around about going out for a drink after work for once, and they went back to his place for a little more but the guy was...disgusted by him without any clothes on? Ves is heavily modified and visibly so to the point he feels actual shame about it and covers up all the time (even wearing gloves to cover his hands) so hearing someone else be grossed out in a intimate moment makes him snap a little. It's not initially violent or anything, he just tells him to leave at first but hearing shit like 'hole is hole' and comments about turning the lights off and closing his eyes / at least the useful parts are still 'ganic just makes him decide to actually snap. He had to throw out the mattress from all the blood, shame. It was a rare occasion he let himself be petty (justified) about something like the rest of his Arasaka coworkers.

And yeah, before he can really move on with his life even before the Relic situation gets resolved, he does kind of...have to remove his parents from the equation. They wanted to shift their research/experiments onto his youngest sister, who ran away to find him and be safe from them. It's a moral obligation that he can't let them continue on with whatever exploration of their fucked up hypothesis they're pursuing.

He also has three other siblings (two older brothers and another slightly younger sister) who he doesn't feel much emotion toward other than annoyance that they stood silent and complacent while he got practically tortured for 15 or so years, just so they could be spared. And they're loyal to their parents to a fault so he just makes it quick.

His parents...damn don't it suck when you make a person into a weapon and they turn on you? And make sure it isn't quick just like you did.

Anyway.

He's also of the emotional opinion that it's entirely his fault Jackie died, because he didn't carry the case with the Relic, but that's a matter of semantics.

12: If your OC was arrested, what would the charges be?

If he's with someone, it's gonna be accessory to some incredibly dumb shit, rather than anything actually egregious. He and Mistletoe try and get arrested for fucking jaywalking of all things and it goes up to assaulting and officer because the NCPD really has nothing better to do than harass two of the scariest mercs in NC in broad daylight.

Solo work though, he's getting arrested for trespassing/breaking and entering. I do such a good job at stealthing into missions as him but like, at the very last minute I get caught in some bullshit and then I gotta run or fight my way out of nonsense. He's more disappointed in himself more than anything, really, the world's most like...done mugshot.

Painfully so. A lot of people looked at him pre-2077 and saw his implants and just assumed he was living the high life being at Arasaka. And then they proceeded to get on his ass because he was depressed despite having top of the line everything, not even thinking for a moment that he might not have agreed to all of the modifications he had. Now people understand even less why he’s gone so out of his pocket and out of the way to look kinda…boring? Like just some guy.

He’s also really depressed/makes a lot of self deprecating jokes to cope with all the trauma and rather than anyone actually address why he feels like that he gets yelled at. Be nice to him he’s sensitive.

🧅 [ONION] What is surefire to make your OC cry? Who knows of this information?

Oh god he is…he is really bad about crying. He is so emotionally stunted from years of being closed off and abused he just hasn’t. Something bad happens and he compartmentalizes everything in a bad way.

Johnny, Mistletoe and Kerry definitely get him with the it’s not your fault bit to get him to actually open up and make him release whatever he’s feeling on a major occasion. But I think Kerry gets him weepy really easily when they’re together and he starts talking about how much he loves him? He’s not used to that so it gets him all misty eyed when Kerry starts listing off what he likes so much about him, or talking about fond memories and he looks like. 🥹 on the couch.

🥬 [LEAFY GREEN] How mundane are they? Do they like it that way?

In his every day life he is just chilling, really normal ngl. When there’s no gigs, no relic shit, no Arasaka ruining his life he gets to have like. Making meals be the hardest decision of his day, and he does like it that way. He just wants a regular life, after his whole life was anything but.

He gets it with Kerry! It’s on another level because of the money and who Kerry is but at home it’s just two people who love each other and trying their best to not cook too badly and taking care of each other in their older age. He’s very sick post-canon and Kerry is, old. A quiet life in private is the best for them tbh.
