satoko for the ask game?

oh that’s an interesting one after sotsugou! i hope you’re up to date on all of that

i’ll count original satoko separately from current satoko since they feel like such different characters to me and i have different answers for each

original satoko:

599 million ruins - this song gives me tragic vibes, the same way that i felt in tatarigoroshi. seeing satoko come into school in that state and not being able to help her. most of all, they way she tries to act like her normal self despite the tiredness in her eyes and her half-hearted “ohohoho”. this track is one of a few different versions of the same song with different instruments, the main one being organ short #600 million in c minor. 599 million ruins feels like a more melancholic version of that same song, an echo of something that was once full of life. when i started thinking about that... yeah

mortal stampede - on a brighter note, i could imagine satoko demonstrating her trap-master skills in the mountain dog showdown to this song!

thanks for being born - to be honest i’m not entirely sure why, but this song reminds me of the part in minagoroshi when satoko finally called out for help. the feeling of a moment of triumph, not a perfect happy ending, but a resolution after a lot of hardship.

mirage coordinator - the sound of getting trolled by a witch lol

about face - the “lambdabern chilling together after the game” song

ridicule - this feels fitting for the moment rika confirms her suspicions about satoko looping. without spoiling too much for umineko, this song represents the chilling horror of finding out the enemy you’ve been searching for was one of the people you trusted the most :(

1. Eva Beatrice 2. Maria, no amount of deaths are enough for her 3. Never played Higurashi, so Umineko 4. Never played 5. Tough, but I’d say 4th arc 6. “Lies, you breast sommelier!” 7. Beatrice dying on the spike, begging Battler to remember who she was, and he couldn’t 8. Battler and Beatrice’s wedding ceremony 9. George mourning Shannon’s death in the first arc.  That scene was what sold me on Umineko 10. The Dancing Candles or Organ short #600 million in C minor 11. Ronove/Virgilia 12. Sayo 13. Her only crime was she loved someone too much and it was gut wrenching to see her break down into depression and start crying 14. I don’t think Eva would’ve gone through with the mass murder, despite what Kyrie claims.  She knows her husband and son would never forgive her for it. 15. Eva Beatrice 16. Ronove 17. Lucifer 18. Chiester 410 19. Beatrice vs Virgilia 20. Didn’t bother watching any 21. First arc, when the last few survivors were going hysterical and in complete despair and STILL haven’t figured out who the killer was 22. Beabato 23. Battler punching Bernkastel 24. When Eva Beatrice completely destroyed Battler’s argument at the end of the 3rd arc 25. Overall yes; it was depressing seeing everyone turned back to stone and put away at the end though 26. Magic Ending, the boat scene with Beatrice was heart rending 27. How the fuck did Kanon escape from the room 28. I wish Maria died a horrible death every arc 29. Figuring out the truth or mysteries behind anything was insanely difficult and each story always surprised you 30. Saltybet on twitch, some of the characters were on there
