Tumblr's favorite cow blog has blocked me lol.

Look. Here's the thing - cows do not need to be wading through mud constantly. Do they like mud? Yes. Do most pastures have mud? Also yes. But goddam! Dig a ditch or something so the water can drain! Pick the shit up out of your pasture. It's really not that hard.

Have they never heard of hardware disease? Also, hoof care is vital. You can get away with not doing it for a time (guilty. I learned this the hard way ~20 years ago), but it's going to bite you in the ass. Also, the condition of those cows doesn't look great. I get that dairy cows are skinnier, but they need to look into a bottle of Cydectin and start treating for parasites.

A normal pasture doesn't look like that. My pasture is around 14 acres. It doesn't look like Scout's. Why? Because I've actually collected the metal trash over the years and carted it off. My neighbor has around 300 beef/dairy cross cattle. His pasture doesn't look like Scout's. Yeah, there are muddy spots, but the overwhelming majority of the pasture is dry and he's pulled the metal crap out of it. Hoofed animals can and do step on metal bits. They can and do get sick because of this. All you're trying to do is prevent a vet bill.

I understand that you have to start somewhere. I understand that they really do care about their animals. But the care those animals are getting is not good. No one is asking Scout to be a weather god - we're just asking them to take some pretty basic steps.

i had the most bizarre dream last night.

I dreamt I got turned into goku (child goku specifically from the original dragon ball) but I was still me just goku shaped so obviously I had a lot going on and didn’t check tumblr for a while. When I checked back the whole thing was drama about someone I never heard of doing various horrible things (cheated on his wife, abused children, killed several people) and I was just befuddled and thought Well At Least I Never Interacted With This Person. But then I found out people were saying that was my secret side blog based on nothing. As in they just said it and everyone believed it without even the slightest explanation as to why they thought that. So there were a bunch of meme edits that just said “I hope owlvid dies and goes to hell today :)” and I just kept replying to people that it wasn’t me and I wasn’t sure why they think it’s me. Eventually I was literally doxxed and some people kidnapped and tortured me and used various lie detection tests from truth serum to a polygraph to try to prove it was me but it didn’t work since it wasn’t me. They were frustrated and still didn’t believe me but let me go since they couldn’t prove it was me so I left and by this point there were literally “kill owlvid” signs because I guess I was believed to be a terrorist at this point and I was going to post a selfie next to one of the signs to post on tumblr as a funny gag for the people who still followed me but then I remembered I looked like goku and didn’t want my haters to start accusing me of not being black because I was just regular (though now adult for some reason ??) goku.

Then I woke up.

i say this warmly, but you’re misunderstanding the owlvid thing if you think it’s nitpicky. anons were pissed because it looked like they were defending their shitty language about “amabs”- which you should know, asab language like that is a common vector nowadays for people to be transmisogynistic. they edited the original post, but previously it still was saying amabs could go shirtless; which is, to be clear, misusing the term. what they mean to say is most cis men can go shirtless, they’re just forgetting about trans women, amab non-binary people with breasts, and others when using amab instead. it’s not a huge issue, and they reworded their posts to be more accurate now, but its important to understand the original situation as the microaggression it is (by denying the lived experience of transfems) to avoid letting ourselves continue making these mistakes and creating hostile environments for trans people, since even other trans folks can accidentally be shitty to each other. that’s all, no need to publish!

Hi im trans and ive seen the posts. These people are being nitpicky and jackasses for no fucking reason considering the post was changed a whole week ago. Theyre just harrassing a black trans person because they're unhappy with the fact that floofty isnt rolling over and begging for their forgiveness.

i’ll probably regret sending this, but just to be clear- i don’t 100% agree with everything that post you reblogged about zoophilia said but it is Not normal behavior to find out someone has you blocked, block-evade to find a reason to dislike them, post about it and *then* take everything way out of left field. as a furry who has discovered i am attracted to anthropomorphized animals- i appreciate your friend for pointing at that it was weird to exclude that.

What I think is mind boggling about this whole ordeal is that Owlvid and I probably actually agree on a lot. Ex: children don’t belong in NSFW spaces, keep your porn where kids can’t find it, propaganda is a thing (fiction can affect reality, but the seeds already have to be there, IMO. A book cannot manipulate you into doing something totally against your nature), and we actually share lines that should not be crossed.

Yes, you read that right: an evil proshipper is not a fan of underage incest porn. Do I wish it did not exist? Hell yes. If I find it, do I block/report? I do. It is something that skeeves me out and I usually take a break from the internet if I find it. Thanks to people tagging their shit nowadays, that’s pretty rare. Fandom is actually a lot safer than it used to be.

But do I think that harassment is good? No. Do I think that having outside forces tell me what I can and cannot create is a good idea? Also no.

I am a gay agender Native American. My rights to express myself fully - in art and real life - are only 20 years old. I’m a good deal older than 20, guys. In my living memory, being gay and agender and expressing myself through art was a crime. With possible jail time, depending on how much the officials involved didn’t like you. Hell, even today, banning and challenging queer books is routine.

There are reasons why I know exactly what it takes to drag people to court over harassment and defamation. I’m an out queer author writing books about queer issues. If one of mine breaks containment, it is almost certainly going to be challenged, if not banned outright.

Any of Owlvid’s supporters reading this (because I know you keep tabs on anyone on their shit list), please take a moment and ponder a world where a queer person did not have the right to exist. Depending on your state, it was 20 years ago. Consider, for a moment, why a person who went through that and had a few close calls would be so virulently anti-censorship. Research your queer history. You might be surprised at what you find.

I dunno, maybe I’m asking Tumblr to have a conversation it just is not ready for. But harassment and censorship are never good, full stop.

The fact that Owlvid is allowing someone to try and start shit with a random Reddit user for not having the exact same opinions as they do is both sad and hilarious.

Owlvid and Co. need to touch grass. I trust the opinions of people who are educated wildlife professionals over that of random people on the internet. Especially random people who can't be assed to look up the history of dog breeds and instead quote anti-Black propaganda from British tabloids.

Typically when things like this happen on here it is because the post (and person) were mass-reported.

Reminder that my original owlvid blog was deleted because of fatphobic weirdos spam-reporting my blog when I was making posts about BMI being made by eugenicists who wanted to make Americans look more physically imposing to other countries and that many people classified as “morbidly obese” by the scale do not have high enough levels of body fat to actually impact their health, and that BMI and similar “ideal weight” metrics don’t take the weight of muscle into account and the weight loss trend has caused millions of people to develop eating disorders throughout the years.

A video like the one posted in the link you provided is going to be controversial because zionists won’t like it and the wording used in the video is unfortunately very easy to make look antisemitic. The section of the video where the speaker started saying “this percentage of Jews think they’re smarter and better than everyone” or whatever does align dangerously with a lot of antisemitic beliefs, so because he didn’t continue to say Israelis or Israeli Jews to speak against this nationalistic culture, it makes it extremely simple for zionists to point to that and spin the entire video as being lies and antisemitic propaganda. That leads to mass-reports against it.

I don’t doubt staff has Zionist sympathizers among them simply because staff is largely if not exclusively American and it is very difficult for people in this country to access accurate information about the Israel Palestine conflict because the government sponsors so much propaganda supporting Israel and against Arabs and Muslims in general, leading to a large amount of Americans drinking the koolaid and believing Israel to be justified. However, there is also a good chance that this person and the post were mass-reported and taken down automatically because staff doesn’t always back-check to ensure someone or their posts were actually dangerous if they reach a certain threshold of reports they just terminate everything.

I know for a fact that Owlvid's pinned post originally had tags pointing fingers at your blog, but they must've removed them not too long ago, 'cause now the post is only pointing at me. It feels a bit like they're doing damage control in a way...? They're still claiming that I'm a bad person for being a proshipper (I'm not a proshipper) and a zoophile (I'm not a zoophile) and for wanting to normalize zoophilia (I don't want to normalize zoophilia) but now, for some reason, they're acting like they never wanted to drag you into it even though all this started because they got upset with you. It has its origins in just. Covering up the n slur.

While that may sound bad at first, really think about the fact that you’re calling something problematic for explicitly removing a slur from memes. I would rather people who cannot reclaim a slur use alternate versions of a meme than see a bunch of white people quoting memes with the n word. This is not a new concept either, generally when white people do covers of songs that have the n word in the lyrics they replace it with another two syllable word. There isn’t anything wrong with censoring a slur.
