Mammoth 50k Pedalpalooza completed! The scenery is stunning. The backcountry areas you get to see that most people don't are incredible. But riding 50k on a mountain bike at over 8 thousand feet of elevation is no joke. had culture shock returning from New York. no comparison to sleepy pdx. not sure I wanna hang where it’s all sleepy so much know what I mean? Pedalpalooza needs to come back soon………. besides that though, nyc was the best. I biked! and there was soooooo much good music and soooo many delicious bagels. lovely hangs with lovely people. love spending time with good people in cool places soundtracked by extremely tasty live jazz. wandered streets by myself and it was the best. feel all juiced, recharged. but I should be spending more of my time (lifetime) on MORE TRAVEL. also want to meet more guys from Germany. achievable 2023 goalz.

#Portland can be beautiful at times. This was one of the stops on the annual "Goth Ride" yesterday. One of the last #pedalpalooza rides of the year. Notweird. My house was, and is again, a business address even though we aren’t on a major street. I have definitely seen several bike rides during Pedalpalooza going down my street over the years, probably because it is a one way street.

The folks behind Pedalpalooza used to head to the Goodwill Bins every year and grab as many t-shirts etc as they could and then have a big screen-sprinting party, and sell the shirts as a fundraiser.

And if you volunteered at the screen-printing party you could screen-print something you brought with you. So in 2009 I brought this dress (it’s American Apparel).

It’s still a damn cute dress. And I look damn good in it.
