Fakta menunjukkan, sepanjang tahun 2020 lalu total penjualan mobil ke diler (wholesales) di pasar domestik mencapai angka 532.027 unit. Sementara penjualan dari diler ke konsumen (penjualan ritel) mencapai 578.327 unit. Data yang dihimpun Motoris dari laporan penjualan ke Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia (Gaikindo) memperlihatkan Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid menjadi model yang paling banyak terjual, dengan jumlah 652 unit. Kemudian Nissan Kicks yang laku 153 unit. Dia disusul Toyota Camry hybrid yang terjual 130 unit, C-HR Hybrid yang membukukan penjualan 126 unit. Lalu Corolla Altis hybrid yang terlego ke diler 41 unit, Toyota Prius dan BMW i8 yang membukukan penjualan 1 unit. Sedangkan di segmen PHEV penjualan satu-satunya dibukukan oleh Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV totalnya 6 unit. Daftar penjualan itu memperlihatkan porsi Toyota yang paling banyak di pasar mobil elektrifikasi di Tanah Air sepanjang tahun tersebut, dengan total 922 unit. Dan ternyata, posisi seperti ini masih berlanjut hingga Januari tahun ini. Data kembali berbicara, di bulan pertama 2021 itu total wholesales mobil elekrifikasi di Tanah Air hanya 277 unit. Lagi-lagi, merek Toyota masih yang tertinggi dalam jumlah, yakni 127 unit, yang berasal dari Toyota Camry hybrid 7 unit, Toyota C-HR hybrid 11 unit, dan Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid 109 unit. Nissan menjadi merek dengan wholesales terbanyak kedua. Kicks e-Power, mobil elektrikasi terjual sebanyak 100 unit. Kemudian Hyundai yang membukukan wholesales 47 unit menjadi merek dengan penjualan terbanyak ketiga dari penjualan mobil listrik Hyundai Ioniq 27 unit dan Hyundai Kona 20 unit. Menyusul di urutan berikutnya terdapat Lexus dengan penjualan sebanyak 3 unit.
