like I think the difference between people who are cishet and allo and perisex and queer people is just extremely badly presented by a binary of 'simple' & 'complex', like..

if you sat down a random cishet allo perisex man/woman on the street and you had them write a 3000 word essay on what their gender means to them (and assuming they took it seriously and were in the mood to reflect on their life a bit etc.), and then you did exactly the same with the most genderfuck weird 'I am such a freak' nonbinary queer person from tumblr, I don't think there would be a significant difference in complexity between the answers you get

the big difference instead would be that only one of these has the privilege of having their incredibly intricate gender rituals and convoluted assertions of sexual attributes and quite frankly absolutely bizarre gender opinions validated and reiterated and normalized by society constantly, to the point where nobody needs to think twice about any of it, because they've already learned all the ins and outs by the time they were a teenager

like, queer perspectives on gender aren't harder for people to understand because they're actually inherently more complex, they are more difficult to understand simply because you haven't spent your entire childhood learning them

went to the planetarium today, it was super nice^^

it turns out reflective nebula are made from diamonds, and that stars actually pulsate a bunch before they die, didn't know these things before

they should make a video game where you can learn dark magic and it's presented as a force that when not used in moderation will lead to a fate worse than death for the caster, and at the beginning it's just some powerful spells that slot into your inventory like any other, but as you use them more often they will start manipulating your UI, first subtly by putting themselves at the top of your spell list no matter how you sort it, then they will just occasionally equip themselves in the middle of combat, then if you unequip them a bunch they will disguise themselves as your other spells, then they will prevent you from using normal physical weapons, then you cannot unequip them at all (your only choice to save yourself at this point is some bizarre barely signposted quest like the one of finding the healer for curses in the New Londo ruins except you don't even get a UI message), then they will just start casting themselves on foe as well as friend, the game plays more like an autobattler now almost, and finally if you open your completely corrupted pause menu and go to the part where you can save the game it will delete your file

#if you defeat the final boss while in that final state without opening your menu you will get a unique ending #but also it will delete all your save files #rambles from the moonsink
