In preparation in our battle against Skyla, I had trained Boldore to lvl 31 by which it learned Rock Slide at this point which had been perfect for this battle to come. Samurott was able to go through Woobat and Swanna using Slash and being able to withhold his ground with defence at the forefront. Darumaka was able to inflict some damage on Skyla’s Skarmory using Fire fang and inflicting burn before being finally taken out. Finally, Boldore swept the scene with a final rock slide giving the final blow to Skarmory and the Jet badge was obtained!
NB: This gym battle was actually much easier compared to Clay (probably just cause his Pokemon outsped most of mine in addition to dealing so many critical hits to my team).

Upon arriving to Mistralton Town we were greeted by both Professor Juniper and Mistralton’s Gym leader Skyla. The one and only unique Master ball was then provided by Professor Juniper in which she would be conducting further research at the celestial tower. In approaching the Celestial tower, I then trained up my Pokemon by which there had been many evolutions; Dewott --> Samurott, Zorua --> Zoroark and finally Golbat --> Crobat (via friendship evolution). This has indeed boosted up the stats of my Pokemon team in preperation for my upcoming battle with gym leader Skyla. However, given that she is a flying type specialist I swaped out Zoroark for a newly caught Baldore that I had obtained just prior to reaching Mistralton Town.

After defeating Clay, he then invited both Hugo and I to visit the location of where the Pokemon World tournament was being held located south of Deftveil city. Upon entering, I then entered the tournament in which I would then be faced against Hugh (Servine, Semisear and Tranquill), Cheren (Stoutland, Cinccino and Watchhog) and finally Colress (Magneton, Elygym and Klink). However, upon exciting the building a Team Plasma member had run past towards the dock where Hugh followed pursuit, in which Cheren accompanied him. Colress suggesting that it is futile and not to be reckless to pursue them. There we then set foot on Team Plasma’s base in which we fought back against their attempt to take our Pokemon. Upon further questioning about the whereabouts of Hugh’s sister Purrloin, Sage Zinzolin had emerged who had summoned the shadow triad to remove us from the vicinity.

Quake Badge
After obtaining Zorua, we then trained in preparation against Driftveil’s City Gym leader Clay who is a ground type specialist. Thinking it would be an easy match with Dewott being on the team, I was wrong as most of Clay’s Pokemon had outsped my Dewott. Thankfully, this was not a nuzlocke run so it required some experimentation. Finally, this was the conclusion of my match against Clay (Krokorok - Lucario (Force Palm), Sandslash - Dewott (Razor Shell), Excadrill - Krokorok (Dig x2)

My first ever shiny in a Nintendo DS Pokémon game ever 😊😊. Was not even expecting this shiny as I don’t go shiny hunting in Pokémon games 🤣🤣. So definitely caught me off guard.

Pokemon Black 2
Upon making my way towards Driftveil city, Hugo was stopped by the newly formed Team Plasma (under Ghetsis leadership) in which I assisted in providing him back up as he continues to search for his sister’s Purloin. Not too long after, it was seen that a member of Team Plasma (new) had approached an old member trying to convince them in rejoining their cause. This member had refused them, in which they follow N’s leadership. They then told me to meet them at their new location within Driftveil city in which all would be explained there. I was approached by Sage Rood who tested my relationship with my Pokemon through a Pokemon battle in which it was accepted. There my Sandile then evolved into Krokorok. Shortly after upon entering their location, Hugh had come in but was not pleased with their answer as it did not further his goal in finding his sister’s Purloin. Zorua was then gifted to me by Rood in which had once been a close friend to N himself. Zorua will take place of my Flaaffy in my team at this point in time.

Bolt Badge
Continued going through my Pokemon Black 2 (1st time) run. Progressed from the desert resort in which I obtained a Sandile (met at lvl 21). After reaching Nimbasa city I went to the old gym location, not knowing that Elesa was no longer present in which it was a definite rollercoaster hoping onto each train. Later, I then attended her new location in which we defeated her electric-type trainers along the catwalk. At the time, I still had woobat on the team. But then thought it would be more strategic to switch to sandile. Sandile was then trained to lvl 27, in which it was then taught Dig in addition using a TM. It was time to now face Elesa (Emolga lvl 28, Flaaffy lvl 29 and finally Zebstrika lvl 30). Volt switch was a definite recurring move pattern in which it would swap out her Pokemon upon inflicting damage. Thankfully Darumaka and Sandile was the MVP highlight of obtaining the Volt Badge.
NB: This is a different editing style that I thought to do just as an experiment at this point.

Pokémon Limited Edition Switch lite. Got this back in December 2021 but decided to crack it open today as I was finally able to obtain the magnetic switch lite case at a decent price :) . Definitely going to be playing more on the go with the two switch consoles that I have. Also I know I haven’t been positing consistently each day, but there’s just some days where I work all day with nothing Pokemon related to post about haha. Plus these posts are just for me talk about my love for the Pokémon franchise 😊

Recap - Alola Region (Season 20-22) Pokémon Anime
Today marks the day that I finished the Pokémon Sun and Moon Anime series for the first time. When the first initial announcements came out for the anime I had been sceptical of the animation design for Ash as many others had been. But this does not downplay the story content filled in the Alola region!. Each season brought more to the table with an exciting and riveting story line in particular the following arcs surrounding Nebby, Poipole and the first ever Alola Pokemon League. There were many favourite Alolan Pokémon including; Rowlet, Litten, Lycanroc and Snowy (Alolan Vulpix) to name a few. The animation may not appeal to all, but keeping an open mind it has one of the best story lines that I have followed in the anime series. Now the next journey will be watching the XY series for me.

This is Day #0 where I just want to start things off for my love of the Pokémon franchise. Here you will find me updating on my progression throughout various Pokémon games, anime, TCG pulls and many more!.
