The clouds rolled in the sky, hiding away the shining sun behind the gray gloomy ones as they edged closer to letting all the rain fall. The smell of coffee was fresh and warm as it filtered through the house, the mugs hot and refreshing as you drank from your mug, holding Rin’s in your hand. The bottom edge of his shirt was soft as it brushed up against your thighs as you walked through the dimly lit house.

Stepping into the room filled with his deep breaths, you set the hot mugs on the stand beside his side of the bed and laid on top of his back as he slept on his chest. You wrapped your arms around him feeling his bare skin against your ands and arms, getting a groan from him as you pulled him from your sleep.

“Rin, it’s time to wake up,” you said quietly into his ear, ruffling his red locks trough your fingers, pressing a chaste kiss to his shoulder

He rubbed his face into his pillow, sliding his arms beneath to the cooler side. Your hands crept down the sides of his body, patting him to wake him.

“Just a bit longer...” he mumbled into his pillow, refusing to wake but you eventually just laid on top of him, letting him sleep just a tad longer. It was his rest day from practice, so he was doing exactly that.

The smell of coffee wafted all throughout the room that eventually caught into his nose. You laid still on his back, your fingers tracing his muscles as he slept and you could feel his body tense up every now and then when you drew over a sensitive spot. With a swooping motion, you were suddenly in his embrace as he trapped you under his arms and legs.

He felt so relaxed whenever you were around, it made him forget about how far home was, how far his family was. You made him forget about the world beyond the room and he loved it because you felt like home. You were his home away from home.

He was addicted to your laugh, your witty remarks, the way your eyes shined as you cheered him on. You knew how and when to get on his case if he over-practiced or didn’t eat enough. You were the one by his side physically with him when his friends could only reach him through the phone and it meant a lot more to him than he initially thought. You were the home that never left him and he never left you. God, he loved to wake up beside you everyday.

The house was dark and still as the storm rumbled outside, the soothing rain bouncing off the roof of the house, tapping the windows and walls of the house. You sat in the dark living room, with the blanket draped your lap, taking in deep breaths through your nose, breathing out your mouth. It felt like your head was squeezing harshly every now and then, making you sick and nauseous. You came downstairs, not wanting to bother Rin as he slept beside you in bed. You came down to avoid waking him, in attempts to sooth the throbbing in your head. You couldn’t lay down without feeling like you are going to throw up, you hated it.

In the dark of the night, you didn’t even hear his steps, light on his feet as his eyes looked around the dark house until he could you sitting up, imagining how uncomfortable you were. Taking your shoulder in his hand, he sat lifted the blanket over your lap and sat beside you.

“You okay?” He asked, his voice quiet. “Why are you down here?” He asked, pulling you close, draping his arm around your body. His hand found yours and wrapped his fingers around your hand.

“I have a headache,” you responded the best you could, taking deep breaths to soothe the throbbing you felt just from speaking. It made you light headed and feel weak. You didn’t even know how it happened or how it got like this, but you wanted it to end. “I didn’t want to wake you,” you said, even quieter, your voice dying off toward the end, but he understood your words.

“It’s fine, I woke up after I couldn’t feel you next to me,” he aid, resting his face on the top of your head. “Do you wanna try laying down? I can try to help?” He asked. At this point, you wanted to sleep, feeling your eyes heavy and sore when you closed them. You are willing to try anything.

“Please?”

“Of course,” he pressed a kiss to your temple as you laid your head down in his lap. The rain continued to pour down from the heavy, dark clouds, washing away the humidity and dust and everything outside. Laying in his lap, you were warm as he covered your body with the blanket. When it felt like it was about to get worse, you braced yourself, tensing your body up only for it to not come, instead, it slowly went away as his fingers gently massaged your scalp. Your hair was silky and smooth in between his fingers. In the dark of the storm, with the light of the streetlamp shining in, he was able to see your features relax, the furrow in knitted in your brows disappearing away as he continued his ministration. You held his other hand in your hands, resting on your stomach on the soft, plush blanket. Your hand was so gentle, he could feel your hold on his hand loosen up and your breaths becoming short and steadier.
