Harry- Meghan kiếm tiền cách nào sau khi rời hoàng gia

Hoàng tử Harry và Công nương Meghan có thể duy trì tài chính bằng cách đóng phim, viết sách, quảng cáo trên mạng xã hội và diễn thuyết.

Thứ bảy tuần trước, Điện Buckingham thông báo từ năm nay, Công tước và Công nương xứ Sussex sẽ không sử dụng danh hiệu hoàng gia nữa, do đã rút khỏi vai trò thành viên cấp cao của hoàng gia. Thông báo cho biết Hoàng tử Harry và Công nương Meghan Markle sẽ "không còn nhận được trợ cấp hoàng gia" do không đại diện cho Nữ hoàng Anh. Trước đó, cả hai cũng cho biết "sẽ làm việc để độc lập tài chính".

Câu hỏi đặt ra hiện tại, là vợ chồng hoàng tử Harry sẽ làm gì để có nguồn tài chính cho cuộc sống sắp tới. Ý định độc lập tài chính của hai vợ chồng đã được đưa ra từ đầu tháng. Tuy nhiên, chi tiết kế hoạch này vẫn chưa được công bố.

Trước khi kết hôn với Hoàng tử Harry, Meghan là một diễn viên. Theo Forbes, cô kiếm được khoảng 450.000 USD mỗi năm nhờ bộ phim truyền hình Suits. Với nguồn thu nhập này, cùng số tiền kiếm được từ các công việc khác, như điều hành website phong cách sống The Tig, thiết kế thời trang và quảng cáo trên Instagram, Town & Country ước tính tài sản cá nhân của cô vào khoảng 5 triệu USD năm 2018. Vài năm qua, nhờ trợ cấp hoàng gia thanh toán nhiều khoản chi phí, Meghan cũng tiết kiệm được đáng kể.

Hoàng tử Harry cũng có tài sản cá nhân. Năm 30 tuổi, Forbes cho biết anh thừa kế 13,3 triệu USD từ mẹ - cố công nương Diana.

Vì thế, BBC cho rằng cả hai có đủ nguồn tài chính để duy trì cuộc sống trong thời gian chuyển giao và tìm hướng đi mới, đồng thời trả lại 2,4 triệu bảng tiền cải tạo căn nhà tại khu di tích Frogmore. Bên cạnh đó, dù không nhận được trợ cấp hoàng gia, họ vẫn sẽ được trợ cấp riêng từ Thái tử Charles. Số tiền sẽ đến từ khoản đầu tư cá nhân của Thái tử thay vì lợi nhuận thu về từ bất động sản của Công tước xứ Cornwall vốn được dùng để trả chi phí sinh hoạt cho người thừa kế ngai vàng và hai con trai. 

Hoàng tử Harry và Công nương Meghan không phải là các thành viên hoàng gia đầu tiên có nghề nghiệp mới. Công chúa Beatrice hiện là phó giám đốc chiến lược và đối tác cho một hãng phần mềm. Công chúa Eugenie hiện là giám đốc một triển lãm mỹ thuật tại London. Năm 1993, Hoàng tử Edward – con trai Nữ hoàng Anh Elizabeth và Hoàng thân Philip cũng mở hãng truyền hình riêng có tên Ardent Productions. Tuy nhiên, công ty này gần như không năm nào có lợi nhuận. Edward từ chức năm 2002, tập trung vào các nghĩa vụ hoàng gia và công ty bị giải thể năm 2009.

Dù vậy, Yahoo Finance cho rằng với kinh nghiệm làm việc của Meghan, hai vợ chồng cô sẽ có kết quả thuận lợi hơn. Tháng 9/2019, Andrew Meyer - quản lý kinh doanh của Meghan đã nộp giấy tờ giúp cô duy trì quyền quản lý The Tig cho đến năm 2021. Meghan có nhiều kinh nghiệm với việc điều hành The Tig. Cô thường đăng lên các công thức nấu ăn, ý tưởng về quà tặng và mẹo du lịch.

Tài khoản Instagram chung của cả hai - Sussex Royal có 10,4 triệu người theo dõi. Dù ít hơn những tên tuổi như Cristiano Ronaldo (197 triệu) hay Ariana Grande (171 triệu), cả hai vẫn có thể tận dụng kênh này để quảng cáo cho các thương hiệu lớn.

Ảnh hưởng của cô ngày càng tăng sau khi trở thành công nương Anh. "Website nhiều hãng bán lẻ thời trang bị sập khi áo khoác hay váy của họ được Meghan sử dụng và quảng cáo", David Haigh – CEO hãng tư vấn định giá thương hiệu Brand Finance cho biết.

Ngoài việc tạo ra các sản phẩm thời trang và làm đẹp xa xỉ, vợ chồng Harry cũng có thể bán hàng từ các quốc gia nghèo hơn để phục vụ cho mục đích từ thiện. "Tôi không nghĩ họ sẽ làm từ thiện bình thường, mà làm việc có tầm ảnh hưởng hơn", Sara McCorquodale - CEO CORQ cho biết.

Harry và Meghan cũng có thể nối gót nhà Obama ký một hợp đồng với Netflix, hoặc kiếm kha khá từ việc diễn thuyết trên khắp Bắc Mỹ và Anh. "Với tài năng diễn xuất và mạng lưới quan hệ của Meghan, họ có thể tham gia một bộ phim của Hollywood hoặc viết sách", Haigh nói. 

Cựu tổng thống Mỹ từng được trả đến 400.000 USD cho một buổi nói chuyện tại một diễn đàn ở Wall Street năm 2017. Nhà Obama cũng được cho là kiếm tới 60 triệu USD từ một hợp đồng viết sách với Penguin Random House.
