Happy International Day of the Seal! Pinnipeds, commonly known as seals, are a widely distributed and diverse group of carnivorous, fin-footed, semiaquatic marine mammals. They comprise the families Odobenidae (whose only living member is the walrus), Otariidae (the eared seals: sea lions and fur seals), and Phocidae (the earless seals, or true seals). At the #QueensZoo, we have a group of three boys, McCabe, Jojo, and Benji and they are all half brothers born at the #BronxZoo.
