You said your problems with writing ceo fics was that you deal with them and other male executives too much. Have you thought about having a female CEO OC? Maybe something like “CEO OC and idol BTS member” or “CEO OC and CEO BTS member ” or “CEO OC and struggling artistic BTS member”. I feel like if you have an OC like that you may be able express your struggles with such people (ceo and executives) through her struggles with them. I like the way you write work environments for Sasha and jk in flux and little bean and I wonder how it would be if there was a story where the one or more of the characters had a more constant work schedule (both of their work schedules seem to be constantly changing between jam packed and days of breaks due to the kinds of work they are doing) and the main problem of the story was most of the time work or family related problems and it’s effects on their relationship.

I actually didn’t read all your fics like most other people here, not because I didn’t like them or wasn’t interested or anything like that but because I tend to have periods of time where I like reading certain things. Sometimes I read hybrid stories until I can’t find any other stuff to read or there’s another topic that’s in a fic I read and I switch to that topic instead and sometimes I watch a movie and want more of the similar vibes so I read similar stories or fics about that movie (Watching Spider-Man had me read some spiderkook fics). Sometimes (quite a lot of times) I want characters to be idols or celebrities or really rich people, sometimes I like fantastical elements being there. So I only read secret song series until now. And that will probably be the case until I catch a vibe for the plot of your other stories. (I haven’t had an hybrid phase for a while now, I’m hoping that summer vibes would trigger that, my inbox has a lot of updates from the hybrid stories I was reading the last time I was reading those)

I know what you mean about phases, I'll sort of do that when I'm in the mood for something in particular and speccifically try to find everything I can for that! I'm glad to hear you're into Sasha and JK's work lives haha because later in the series, we spend more time focused directly on their work loads --right now work is sort of secondary to the focus on relationship, but later it flips for a while.

A female OC ceo, I would totally write that actually! But since a lot of her struggles would still be about being a high level woman in whatever industry, it would still be very frustrating haha, but definitely mroe enjoyable and cathartic than her just having to deal with men. So yeah, I'd potentially write that kind of story! CEO OC with BTS guy who is incredibly supportive of her once their in love and thinks she's the most amazing ever 😍 and gasses her up when shitty men at work make her doubt herself 😍😍

Okay I’m aliiivee and I disappeared for a good cause: I had my written Korean exam this morning and I PASSED 30/30 WOOHOO so I treated myself binge-reading to kill a king and flux. What a reward.

For to kill a king I’m hyping myself up so much for this story. THE TENSION. and the fact that one of the main characters is technically the villain?? This is AMAZING. Nasimiyu is the new Cersei Lannister (before season 8 ofc🤪🚔) CHANGE MY MIND. And Dulce is giving me existential doubts on wtf she wants to do. But ugh… ✨women✨. Immaculate. I love them and I shouldn’t? But I do.

For flux I- damn I spent the entire time dying of laughter for the accuracy of everything. The chaos of meeting the family IS A REAL DEAL. Everything is so fucking loud and I think about it often, if one of the boys had to experience this they would probably run away traumatized lol (except for hobi maybe, he would vibe with it).

BUT THE FINAL SCENE??? THE FLUFF??? Is paying back from all the therapy sessions I wanted to book for first half of this book. and no I’m not thinking about the fact that they could potentially break up again one day or that he should really talk to her about a certain something HAPPY THOUGHTS HAPPY THOUGHTS.

And new million dollar question… WHAT IS SASHA’S MBTI??? She strikes me as an INFP, the mediator (which.. little secret, I think may be yours too👀. I mean, from what I read on your tumblr and your writing but last time I tried and guessed your zodiac sign I was dead wrong so🫠🫠). Or the Advocate, INFJ. Sasha is the kind of person who looks like an Extrovert but in reality just loves to stay in and recharge her social batteries. And I would know, I’m INTJ aka Satan.🥳

TKAK: one of the most fun things for me writing that is that if you ask each character in the story 'who is the villain' you will get a different answer. I knew readers would come in with an inherent bias for Jin. I look forward to continuing to twist people around and poke at ideas of right/wrong villain/hero. 😁

Flux: I was sooooo eager waiting for you to read and see if anything felt off to you for these chapters haha. I know it can be really disorienting if someone gets something wrong and just because I have some knowledge doesn't mean I won't get something really weirdly wrong! But I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter and hope you enjoy the continued chaos of next chapter 😁😁😁

Sasha's MBTI, you know way more about them than me so you should probably decide! I have gotten INFJ twice when I've taken the test, even though I expected it to have changed because I feel like I'm so different day to day, but apparently not! The short blurb I just read about INFP does indeed sound like her! INTJ soudns fun! Satan just because of the contradictions?

Jungkook is killing me. You know what, I used to agree with the way he felt about being babied and not treated like an adult. The crazy thing is he doesn’t realize that he put himself in that situation for people to treat him that way. I had like a wake up call with this chapter. Two main things stood out to me. 1.) was how he always says “she dumped me so I could do whatever I want.” And 2.) is how he equates accountability to being scolded and treated like a kid. For example, I notice that when he talks about the break up he always says that he could do whatever he wanted because she’s the one that dumped him. It makes it sound like he thinks he gets a pass for whatever he wanted to do when they were broken up because he’s not the one that chose to break up but he doesn’t hold that same energy towards what Sasha did. I don’t know if you did this on purpose but it sounds that way to me. For the second point that I brought up where she equates accountability to being scolded I also noticed that in this chapter because he genuinely thinks that being held accountable for bad things that he did means that he’s being scolded or treated like a child. The way that he told Sasha and Namjoon and Jimin how he was being treated like a child is horrible. This is bad because he doesn’t realize that unknowingly he’s like basically telling people that they should treat him a certain way because when they try to hold him accountable he reacts like a child. Children don’t know when they’re being scolded or held accountable for a thing like they just group but altogether obviously they don’t know any better the small people that haven’t lived for that long so Jungkook reacts that same exact way. That is the behavior of a child. Sorry if this is super long but I just wanted to say that.

You make some really neat observations in here about him simplifying things in way that, as he matures, may not remain lumped together. He also kept worrying a lot about not being a bad guy and not wanting Sasha to think he was a bad guy --I think that desperate need to not be classified as a bad guy by the people who know him stomped down a lot of the accountability in this case because he kept defaulting to things being all or nothing. This was actually a really complex situation with so many things coming up at once, and a heavy hand really wasn't going to untangle the threads and resolve it!

There are some cushy things that come from being the "baby" (or... in this case maknae) and I can totally see how he wants to be treated older, but when the going gets tough, there's a fallback to familiar habits and expectations. Like who doesn't want the good parts of being a grown up and to be shielded from the consequences of our own mistakes 😅

BUt yes, he's definitely got a lot of growing to do on his own if wht he really wants is to step fully into adulthood and control his own fate and behaviors and relationships, both the good and the bad!

Hi Foxy! I happened to see in your trello that both chapters 41 and 43 of Flux are on editing stage, while chapter 42 is in writting progress and found it very interesting. Do you usually have an idea of what you want to happen in each chapter and work around it, maybe working on some advanced chapter before the "current" ones?

So I actually had about 2 million words of the whole series written before I ever started posting, but not in a linear story. So the process of writing and posting has meant writing the scenes in between what I’d already written and editing the already written stuff to match. So sometimes I’ll have the next chapter already written but I’m still writing the in between. And sometimes editing the old stuff is really quick and easy, but sometimes it requires a pretty intense rewrite to make sure it still fits properly

All that’s to say, I already know what and when most things happen in the story! But there are some details I figure out as I go, or adjustments I make if needed.

And sometimes I do still skip ahead to write a future scene if I know I need to get it out!

How active is Sasha on Instagram and does she post stories on it? If so, what kind? Music? Poetry? Day to day stuff? And how connected are JK and Sasha through social media?

Instagram is such a huge part of our generation's communication and socialization. And I just wonder how much emphasis Sasha puts on it 😊

She's on there! She's not influencer-level of active, but she's been more active since she got back on there during her breakdown. I think insta was one of her slow safe returns to society --remember she was posting about going out for Halloween, and some poetry and artsy photos. She was incredibly active while she and Brielle were together but dropped off when moving to Korea had her so busy and overwhelmed. I think she's probably posting more now, but not quite to the level as with Brielle since she has to keep her relationship so secret from it. And I think she does way more commenting on other people's photos to keep up with friends and people who don't live with her than she's been posting lately, because most of her creative brain juice was exhausted on day to day adjusting and surviving. JK's secret account and hers are now following each other.

So I'd say off and on but that she's not currently super active on social media in general. Like she has a twitter account but doesn't really use it. No snap or tiktok. Mostly just insta. Has a facebook but it's mostly inative, just older professional acquaintances wishing her a happy birthday on November 25 (Thanksgiving Day the year she made her account lol.)

Instagram/social media will come up more in the next book! 😉

I wanted to agree with 🌸 and 🌚 on the point about gaining new perspectives from other readers. There's some connections made (Sasha and the Australian, Sasha didn't take testing precautions) that I didn't originally think about. I still think that the reaction to the news is where I land more with Sasha than JK, and none of the stuff in the parentheses is meant to imply Sasha deserves this STD because she totally doesn't.

I wonder too at some of the characters downplaying of the STD. Never had one either so it would be a major shock to me. Even though it's treatable, I would be WTF-ing all over the place like Sasha. I am so intrigued for the next chapter to see how my mind changes.

Hearing you have a lot of stuff written for upcoming chapters makes me nervous now because of your penchant for angst-to-make-ups. 😉

Do you have a preference when it comes to writing or is it just mood dependent and whatever flows that day?

I mean, what's the laternative, they just break up forever!! what's really going to shock you all is someday when I stop saying "and there are pieces of this that you still may not feel settled with because they carry on into blahblah" and instead I say "that was it. that was the last fight they will ever have." (Just kidding, but at least someday it will be the last fight we get to see as we let them ride off into the sunset.)

You aren't wrong that when we come up to a period where I have a lot prewritten, it's because something exciting happens, but that isn't always a fight! It just means I got really into something. Like Paris was all written before I posted. Their first dates.And their breakup in the fall was not written, although the periods before and after it were (it was too much for me to write it at the time I was originally writing that part LOL.) So there!!! 😜

Do you mean a preference for angst v. fluff? Or a preference of what story I'm working on, or what part of a story?

I think 5 based on what I've written so far, plus I've thought about doing smaller side stories for the rest of the guys. It all kind of depends how we're feeling as we go along, though! If people get bored I might just shorthand publish what I've got but if we're all still loving it, it could continue further or hte side stories could take off 😎

Yeah the little moments were totally what was behind this story and Amended. There's plot that moves it along but I love for the small moments littered into the plot. I think it makes a story feel so personal! I'm glad you like it too :)

I think there will be 5 but it sort of depends how far I keep going, i'm not totally decided yet. That also doesn't count any little spin-offs I do for the other members, which wouldn't be nearly as long but migth be collections of short things. I'm glad you're enjoying it! 😊

i love the secret songs series so much! sasha and jk have lived such different experiences, but the one thing they truly want is to love and be loved wholeheartedly despite how scared they are at times 🥺

It's very true!! Even though their lives are so different, they're able to really work with that common ground and find such love and sympathy for each other, even if specific experiences are beyond their imagination. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

um I literally had written a whole novel about how yoongi is the loml in ur asks and it disappeared all of a sudden so idk if that was sent 🥴 um anyways, what I mean to ask was if you ever considered a lil spinoff for yoongi and minsuh from the ss series?? the fact that we've seen so little of their dynamic piques my intesrest so much. Yes, that's on my list of spin off ideas! There is definitely some alternating angst in there; timing of their needs hasn't aligned properly for them to ever date, there's just this recurring cross-fade where they meet.

The thing about the spin offs is that I don't want to let them outpace the main story, which some of them would need to do for a story arc. So I can't make any claims about when they'll happen. I've definitely started several of them but rather than posting a little and making people wait many months for the next part, I'll probably wait until it's safe past the main story to just move them along at their own pace.

And yeah, Yoongi has been catching my eye constantly lately, he is looking good, and so happy too.

I'm watching Jungkook live right now (for me it's 8am EST June 7, 2022), he's outside by a fire, I don't know more than a handful of Korean, but I think I heard him mention camping. I started thinking about the camping trip Sasha organized. Now I'm wondering what it would be like if he went live sometime and Sasha was hiding off camera ��

Is that something you've ever considered? It might be kinda cliché or cheesy, but I love the JK and Sasha you've written and would love to see how that would play out. Sasha would probably be overwhelmed by the number of people watching/commenting 😬

But JK is super adorable and super animated in the live right now 😍

I think about that kind of stuff all the time! Even if it doesn't get written into the story haha. So far in the story and for as long as Jungkook can control it, she will be very separated from his career. Maybe at some point that gets harder to manage though... 😉

If JK buys a motorbike in Flux, what kind of bike would he gravitate towards to? Would it be a cruiser, cafe racer type or a sports bike? Personally I prefer vintage looking bikes like Honda Rebel, Triumph Bonneville, Moto Guzzi V7 etc. He would look so good riding them, so I guess R.I.P. to Sasha and us lol.

Life is so strange sometimes. A while ago, I started to get really interested in motorbikes, and then Flux JK started to say he'll get one 🥴 And I'm in loove with a travel documentary called Long Way Up, in which Ewan McGregor (one of my biggest crushes ever) and his friend Charley Boorman do a 3 months trip from Ushuai to LA on electric Harley Davidsons. Then I read Sasha saying they'll do a motorbike trip in South America and couldn't help but scream 🤣

I believe Flux jk would get what my Dad (who rides a Harley) calls a crotch rocket... a sports bike haha. Probably black. Punk jock seems like his style haha.

I won't say anythign else but... you're going to enjoy a future thing in the story! 😉

I'll have to check out that documentary though! That sounds cool! Some friends of mine did a trip through Europe and Africa that was cool except she had a crash and wound up having to get care-flighted from Africa back to the US for surgery and therapy... then they flew back to where they left off six months later haha. STILL it's so c ool. I wish I'd done an epic bike trip like that before I had kids.

I sent an ask few days ago about rereading Flux and i just have to say you write the growth in Sasha and JK's relationship and personalities SO WELL. I never noticed how self-destructive it was until their post breakup rebuilding.

Yessssss thank you!! That makes me really happy to hear. I can't promise they won't ever make repeat mistakes that are harder to dig out of their personalities as they grow, but one big aspect of this story is that they meet while they're still very young and malleable and influence each other in ways both good (and sometimes not so good...!) The psychology of it is just so much fun to dig in on so closely and over such a long period of time. I hope that by the end of the series everyone really feels like they've watched these babies grow up! So thank you, I'm really happy that it comes across to you!
