Typically in Dioramas, the back wall is the most immersive element that pulls a scene or vignette together. The first picture in this post is frame 6 of 6, the back frame. For my Congo Cruise MULTIPLANES Diorama, I wanted to design this scene at dusk. It’s my favorite time of the day to take the cruise because it usually cools off by then and you get this dramatic lighting that pours over every turn of the river. I also had the elephants in the water in an earlier edit I was working on. It was too busy. Instead I just brought in the hippo and fish from other scenes. In the foreground, I pulled in the temple area with the Bengal tiger. This way the diorama features an over arching representation of the attraction.
