thinking about how wen ning was brave enough to go straight into lotus pier with all the other wen sect members under wen chao’s command milling about, perceptive enough to use the fact that everyone tended to overlook him to slip beneath notice as he goes about his plan to rescue jiang cheng, and well-versed in medicine and the like enough (likely from his sister’s teachings!!) that he could drug the wine there and be confident in the fact that he can grab jiang cheng and zidian and sneak him out of lotus pier to where wei wuxian was waiting in a boat without any of the wen sect members stationed there waking up (till morning, by which they’ll be long gone anyway)
