LISA 12/30/16 8.5 x 11 offset print I’m giving these away FREE with an order of the #BartSimpson or #MilhouseVanHouten 18x24 prints!!! . In continuation of #everydayishalloween I originally drew this #LisaSimpson for a friend’s birthday. Maybe it was Christmas. I can’t remember. Earlier that year I had drawn up a skeletal version of her husband’s favorite comic book character #TheTICK. So for her birthday, I drew up LISA. . I didn’t give myself much free time between #tattooing and #freelancing so I rarely did work like this. It’s weird for me to function unless I have a deadline. #DeadlinesRuleEverythingAroundMe . Which of the Simpsons characters would you like to see done in this style? . It looks like @galerief started to carry some of my mini prints now! Give them a follow & pick some up. BART 10/8/14 18x24 screenprint MORE INFO HERE http://bodega.brianewing.com/search.php?search_query=simpsons OR LINK IN BIO! . In continuation of #everydayishalloween here’s the Bart Simpson print I designed. I had just finished this piece around this time in October 2014 - for my solo show #SCREAMWITHME at @galerief in Chicago! . I was creating ALL-NEW pieces for the show and wanted to add some levity to what was all #horrormovie related. I think I had 2 months to crank out 13 new pieces for the show. I think. I dunno how much time I had, but it was short. . I remember seeing the first episode of #TheSimpsons when it debuted on The #TraceyUllman Show back in 1987!! Then came the #treehouseofhorror in 1990 and in between all of that was the #bootlegbart phenomenon that lives on to this day. I wish I would have kept some of those shirts…The #Simpsons were part of my DNA as a kid and I’m happy that #MattGroening ’s influence is still rattling around in my brain. . If you scroll through you can see the stages of the piece and the variants I designed for the show! The inks are still available - hit me up if interested!! . So yeah, I was trying a lot of new stuff for this show and had never thought I could make the anatomical style…funny! I’m really happy with the result. I also created a #Milhouse version similar to this for the show. I’ll post that next. I had really wanted to explore more of the characters with this style but I am always easily distracted by the next project ahead of me. .
