Thank you so much for sending these! 💕💖
H. Hidden Gem Book
If you’re into horror, I highly recommend Regression by Cullen Bunn. Almost no one I’ve ever talked to has heard of it even though it’s by a pretty big name author. It’s only 3 volumes though be mindful because it is a graphic graphic novel.

L. Longest Book You’ve Read
Crime and Punishment 😭 it’s a crime that it was written and a punishment to be read honestly. I thought I was onto something in my hs AP English class where we had to read 12 books in 1 semester (3 from 4 different genres) and then do a book analysis so I was like “hey can I read this one and have it count for all my classes?” It was not a great time. Not worth it. (Though maybe Gone with the Wind was longer, now that I think about it - Crime and Punishment FEELS the longest 😂)
Q. Quote From A Book That Inspires You/Gives You Feels
I dont remember a whole lot of quotes tbh but I have a print of this one because it’s a reminder to not let my anxiety get the better of me.
“For even the very wise cannot see all ends.”
The full quote is in reference to not killing Gollum and not passing merciless judgment when you don’t know all the facts, but this particular line has always been one of my favorites.

T. Three Of Your All-Time Favorite Books
Well, I’ll avoid the obvious Anne Rice lol I think we all know that’s on the list.
Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire (Wayward Children book 5 - though the whole series is AMAZING)

In honor of Lesbian Visibility Day, here are a list of yuri titles I highly recommend
Now Loading- A young woman becomes a junior developer in a game company, and catches the attention of her boss. She and her boss clearly share attraction and constantly flirt, but neither seems aware the other reciprocates, leading to some hilarious dialogue between their coworkers. Will they stop being idiots and finally see the obvious?
Transparent Light Blue- Two friends grow closer as they explore their ear cleaning fetish. It sounds absolutely terrible, but the ear cleaning is secondary. The main focus is on the girls’ evolving friendship and how they grow closer, and in that respect it’s really sweet and well worth the read.
Gakuen Polizi- One of Milk Morinaga’s less recognized works, this 2 volume series (out of print, but pretty readily available through Amazon and other used book sources) is about two high school girls (one a silly, clumsy dork, the other a slightly Gothy dead serious nerd type) becoming partners in a junior police training course. They discover impropriety in their school, and grow closer as they work to uncover the case. Unique set-up with a bittersweet denouement. Milk Morinaga is kind of the queen yuri for a reason. Her stuff is always well written, soft-hearted, and good-natured, and her art is adorable.
Nameless Asterism- 3 female friends and a male one find themselves closing out their high school term in a maelstrom of confused emotions. Who loves who? What relationships will survive? Pure soap opera drama awaits in this tale of crossed signals.
Eclair- An anthology featuring many of the top yuri creators in Japan. Some of the material is a bit questionable, but much of it is very sweet and highlights the cross section of the style. Highlights include a rather impressive short (and cover art) from the creator of Bloom Into You.
Sunstone- An American yuri? Yup, and one of the best Western romance comics of all time. A hot, sweet, and tender tale of a young writer entering into a BDSM relationship with a bisexual dominatrix that starts with them being awkward dorks and ends with them being loving partners, with the exquisitely realistic but expressive digital painted art of Stjepan Sejic. The universe this set up is now being expanded in a number of directions, including a sequel expansion (Mercy), Swing (a story of a married couple that takes up swinging to try to save their relationship), and Sugar (a story about a college girl falling for an older businessman who decides to become her sugar daddy, and the unique agreement they come to). Those expansions are all hetero-focused though (though the female lead in Mercy is bisexual and spends the early part of it in a lesbian relationship). The original is place to go for solid lesbianism. I recommend the entire Sunspot universe though for solid romance writing exploring a variety of different kinds of alternative relationships.
Kase-san And...- A seriously cute series following a nerdy high school girl and her relationship with the school’s uber-jock. Despite being a mismatched pair, the love between them is absolutely genuine and it’s great to see them hold each other up when the other is feeling down. The art style is also unique and fucking adorable!
