So here’s a little update to our dream wonderland:
If you’re not completely caught up, let me give you a little crash course. In the year of 2017, Japanese Times announced the Studio Ghibli Theme Park project, the park was initially supposed to open to the public in the fall of 2020. But due to the pandemic construction was delayed and now the new opening date will be Fall of 2022.
The theme park will be located in  Aichi Expo Commemorative Park; three areas in the park are under construction: the first attraction is “The Hill of Youth”, an inspiration from “Whisper of the Heart” and “Howls Moving Castle”; The Giant Warehouse inspired by “Spirited Away”;and lastly The Dondoko Forest inspired by “My Neighbor Totoro”. There are two areas who have yet to begin construction: Mononoke Village inspired by “Princess Mononoke” and the Witch Valley inspired by “Kiki’s Delivery Service” and “Howls Moving Castle”.
Who would you bring along with you when the park opens?
