I know what you're thinking. That you've given in to your son again? That you're spoiling him? Exactly. And I can certainly understand how you reach that conclusion. But the thing is... this tree is for me!

Long ask ahead... So apparently, they already have a plan for season 5, which makes me think that the S5 storyline will be connected to the S4 storyline. And I know we've been wondering if they may do 'Trial Of The Flash' with The Thinker's storyline. But I wonder if maybe that's their plan for S5, not this season. So I have a theory... We know that The Thinker has a big masterplan already in the works. Like, everything so far this season has all been a part of his plan to get to Barry. (1/5)
Even when the team thinks they’ve won, their “win” was even [seemingly] a part of his plan. And presumably, that cycle will continue into 4B, although there may be more head-to-head/face-to-face battles (The Thinker already seems to be out in public in 4x09). Around 4x20, it will probably all come to a head, and I really have no theory about the “final battle” other than what I think I already mentioned — that The Thinker may release all the bus metas from prison to fight Barry/the team. (2/5)But regardless of how that goes down, I think The Thinker will end up dying, and the team will think they’ve won. Then either at the end of S4 or at some point in S5, Barry will get arrested for his murder, and thus begins TOTF. Except not only is Barry being falsely accused, it was actually all a part of The Thinker’s plan to die and have Barry be found guilty. So once again, the team thinks they’ve won only to find out The Thinker was one step ahead again. (3/5)Then we go through the Trial of The Flash in 5A or 5B. Now, part of me is leaning more towards Barry being arrested in 5x09 and then the storyline being in 5B because he just got back from being away, so him getting arrested/“leaving” at the end of season 4 may be slightly repetitive. But these are the Flash writers we’re talking about so… (4/5)I also had a crazy side-theory that B&I would already have a kid (so mid/late S5 at the earliest) by the time Barry is arrested, because for some reason when Barry was saying “Nora shouldn’t be here” in 4x01, my first thought was that Iris had brought her to the courthouse or to see Barry in prison and he didn’t want her to see him there. Or maybe it would be future!Nora (if they go that route). But most likely, I’m just reaching way too far and I’m not even close to the target. Anyways… (5/5)
This is a super cool theory! I feel like 5.09 might be too late for the arrest and for Trial of the Flash to start, but I like(?) the idea of him getting arrested at the end of S4. Or maybe a happy ending for S4 so that we can relax for the summer, and then the premiere has him arrested. But then I like your idea of “Nora” being their daughter and being there, which requires pushing the timeline back or else bringing in the kids from the future, like you said.
Hey after you tweeted him, did the writer take down the retweet from that racist sb account?
He didn’t, but he unliked the tweet lol. And he retweeted this tweet, which was apropos.
Barry ratted someone out on his first case so it’s a possibility he was very by the books when he first started at ccpd and not told Iris about the case because it was against the rules and eventually loosened up but most likely they just used Iris as a tool to explain Barry’s situation to the audience
You’re right on both counts. In-universe explanation could easily be that he didn’t share details at first and then opened up later, but in terms of the writers they wanted Barry to tell Iris so the audience could hear about it.

I’m a butthead and think SV Missed the memo about the direction DC was taking (legacy WA) and believed the New52 version of her character would play out, she could stay on the show longer and possibly take CP’s spot. #Psych #YouThought
LOL, I’m glad she was wrong.
