I realize this might be a slightly odd ask, but… Out of curiosity, what sort of foods do you think Machete would be fond of? And do you think they’d differ noticeably from when he was young vs once he’d grown older?

He's a fussy eater. He rarely eats for pleasure and dislikes being seen dining in company, but attends formal dinners and banquets if invited, since declining without a very good reason would be at best rude and at worst a devastating faux pas. He prefers fowl dishes over red meat and greatly dislikes sea food (which is just peachy since this is the Mediterranean). Pasta seems to be already a well established part of the cuisine at that point, maybe he's into that. For the most of his life he's eaten rather simple foods so he finds bland soups and broths very safe and comforting. Pomegranates are his fruit of choice, he doesn't have much of a sweet tooth but enjoys candied apricots and figs on occasion.

He's exceptionally bad at holding his liquor, and he can't stand the feelings of unpredictability, disorientation, unsafeness and potential loss of control that being intoxicated causes in him. Unfortunately, drinking plain water was very risky and uncommon, it was contaminated and unsanitary more often than not, especially in population centers. Generally the main drinks you'd consume through the day were diluted wine and beer/ale (this was the case for children as well). Machete tends to prefer wine, which he waters down heavily, and sometimes has it flavored with spices, herbs, honey or sugar. Having even a little bit of alcohol in the mix would kill at least a portion of the bacteria (not that the concept was known at the time, people believed many illnesses were caused by tainted air and foul smells, I mean fair enough, if your water is filthy it probably smells bad too).

(Fun fact, apparently Ancient Romans had more or less perfected the art of winemaking but by the Middle Ages a lot of the techniques had been lost. During the Renaissance wine was generally very low quality and the way it was fermented and stored (making the switch from sealed ceramic amphora of the Antiquity to those iconic wooden barrels) meant it would only stay good for a year at best and the taste would start to deteriorate within the first couple of months. Vintage wines weren't a thing, the best stuff was fresh. Apparently European wine was pretty bad for hundreds of years and would only start to improve again around 1800s. Or at least that's what I've gathered, I could be wrong, I'm not a wine expert).

Europe hadn't quite adopted tea yet and he narrowly missed the time coffee began to spread to his corner of the world (I bet he would've loved both of those, with the help of caffeine he could've been twice as much of a jittery sleepless wreck). I've read that people would distill sage and drink the resulting concoction with hot water to create this very tea-like minty drink, that sounds like something he'd like.

“We can just kiss for a while.” Maybe it was social lubrication from a couple drinks talking, or maybe it was thanks to the drifting topics of chatter between them that even prompted the idea of making that suggestion… But, either way, the blonde went ahead with it. After all, couldn’t hurt to suggest as much to some rather good looking company, right?

Hanazaki was loud in his laugh, his arm around Minato's back, their booth seat was soft under the ass but not a heat absorber making it unpleasant. Perry was leaning into Minato's other side, humming into his own drink with smiles shared but with the offer of such a thing, how could he say no to that? Whilst Hanazaki was placing his drink down, Perry didn't shy away from raising his empty hand to Minato's chin to turn him to face him and promptly press their lips together.

Slightly cooled from his prior sip of ice water, but warm from the atmosphere, the paramedic allowed himself the joy of making Minato's little question come true. Ignoring Ieji's whining about wanting to be the first, but for the moment the vampire took his time in working open Minato's lips with his tongue and delving it between teeth to greet the heat of their alcohol tinted self. Thumb brushes over jaw as his tongue curls and strokes against the blondes. A few more seconds would pass, making sure to leave his mark of smeared black lipstick on those lips and in turn, smirked when they peeled away from each other with a low hum. "Nice." Though the compliment would be swept away in the music, as Perry sat back to watch Ieji take over.

Hanazaki wasn't a man of virtue, he wasn't going to deny it was hot watching those two make out, just contrasts really made him pay attention and now when Minato was free from the vampire's touch - Hanazaki's much more eager and warmer self moved to fill the spot. In taking hold of Minato's cheek in his palm - smiling gentler, smaller, so that when he leaned forward his lips consumed those of Minato's. Unless Perry, which was a soft and cool touch, Ieji's mouth was hot, warm and firmer. He didn't shy away at all in sliding his tongue into Minato's mouth. Chasing the taste of Perry to mix his own taste within it too.

Holding Minato's nape just enough to make it comfortable, his lashes fluttered shut as he continued to devour the smaller male in his grasp. Licking over his gums and rubbing tongue to tongue. Swallowing their flavors and adjusting the angle to make it all the deeper. When Ieji finally felt the pull of needing to breathe, did he release Minato with a slightly more wet set of lips, but he shamelessly licked that flavor from his own as he grinned. "Sexy." Was his comment, but it wasn't left alone for long as Perry returned to the picture.

The vampire had crawled over Minato's lap to latch onto Hanazaki's shoulder and kiss the other over Minato's head for the fun of it all the same.

If there’s one thing that Majima hates the most, it’s repeating himself. He knows it can’t be helped sometimes, especially when he’s damn near looming over a person. He also knows that a handsome face like his can be awfully distracting... Nonetheless, that just so happens to be what he’s doing now, using his larger size to his advantage in order to corner Minato and capture his full attention. Finally, he gives a quick ‘tsk’ of the tongue before he graciously decides to speak the same words over again.

“I said I dig yer style, `n I wanna borrow this jacket of yers.” Inching closer still, he reaches out to touch and feel the material of Minato’s blazer for himself, his thumb and index fingers hooking around its lapel to stroke curiously so. Never mind the fact that his glove prevents him from truly knowing how the texture would fare against his skin — it’s the garment’s fit and pattern that’s truly caught his eye in the first place. He grins mischievously as he tilts his head to the side. Another idea’s just come to mind.

3. a specific color that gives you the ick?

Hmm probably mustard yellow specifically but maybe browny mustard? I actually have a couple that give me the ick!

Things like Pantone 448 C? But also Pickle Green, Humorous green SW 6918 which is like mustard yellow but slightly green as well, and I don’t like rust colour mostly because I love all kinds of shades of red and don’t like the vibe of orange that goes into that shade, when people say red and present a rust colour is so unsatisfying. I love orange though separately, and I also love many other shades of green a lot and yellows otherwise mostly.

5. favorite form of potato?

Friedddd potatoooo. There’s a new style of potato I’ve been eating recently though which I’m having for a meal soon funnily enough, and it’s this style of potato where it’s been made into a noodle shape and in this case loads of it was wrapped around some king prawns on a skewer. It’s alright, not amazing though.

29. preferred pasta noodle?

Spaghetti or fettuccine! I’ve not actually tried many types of pasta noodle compared to other kinds of pastas, I’ve tried a lot of other kinds of pasta than pasta noodles specifically. 😅 I love spaghetti or creamy carbonara though.

27. what’s your favorite or go-to outfit?

At the moment, black t shirts, shirts, turtlenecks, hoodies, black or plum trousers

Hats: silk black snap back, or wide rimmed black hat

Sunglasses: I have so many sunglasses it’s ridiculous but currently some silver ones with red circle lenses, or large ones with a rose gold toned and mirrored

Shoes: brown shin high combat boots, square toed platform stomp boots, or black platform trainers

Coats: A long vintage style renaissance themed navy coat, which is decorated with paisley glimmering patterns. This has been my Main Coat for about 4 years or so. ⬇️

Otherwise, leather jackets, long coats, fancy jackets kinda like this, or my black and white cape coat that looks like this but shorter.

“You`re not falling asleep on me, are you?” Watching as Minato has slowly but surely gotten a tad too comfortable in his chair all while he’s been ordered to keep his eyes closed for the sake of a little makeup — well, it’s far too tempting for the artist at hand to laugh. Luckily, he’s just finished the last stroke of eyeliner needed to complete the look. Cat like eyes, lashes dark and long, all with lids covered in a smoky shadow that’s been blended to perfection... Cicero almost thinks it’s a shame that Minato’s finally opened his eyes; this is some of his best work, after all! 

There’s just more that needs to be done.

With a hum of approval, Cicero finally pulls himself back from his human canvas. Leaning so closely over the guy for so long had begun to put a strain on his poor old joints, anyways. “Good.” After Minato is given a couple seconds more to shake away his grogginess, he’s promptly given a sleek hand mirror to inspect himself with.

“Take a look and tell me what you think. We`re doing your hair next.”

Rightfully so are his actions met with surprise — but, regardless of all the gawking and the wide-eyed looks of confusion brought about by the patriarch, Majima is quick to make himself comfortable in his newfound seat, right beside the once lonesome man he so decided to associate with the moment he stepped foot into the otherwise crowded bar. Already, he begins to help himself to a cigarette, and just as he’s lighting the cancer stick does he pay mind to the stranger at his side once more.

“I`m trnya blend in with the crowd here, y`see?” Whether or not his momentary, less than subtle back and forth glances about the bar is enough of a hint, his motives will remain a secret. For the time being, anyways. Depending on how useful this fella turns out to be, depends on how much Majima’s willing to divulge. Tit for tat, simple as that.

“I`ll even pay for yer next drink!” With a smile full of as much charm as he could possibly muster in that moment, he nudges his elbow into the stranger’s side. It’s a hopeful attempt to further encourage his compliance for such a sudden request. “Pretty sweet deal, eh?”

🎧 Headphones or earbuds?

Headphones all the way! I can’t count how many earbuds I’ve lost, especially since wireless was pressed. I lost a pair on the first day of wearing the last pair of them and one of them fell so hard they smashed soo… my ears said no. And I stopped using them.

🎤 Is there a song you know all the lyrics to?

Too many. Way too many. At one point for a long time I knew every lyric for MCRs entire discography aside from a couple of B sides. If it’s a band I like/liked, they’ll be many songs I know all of the lyrics to, I love music.

🌿 Describe your favorite outfit.

I really don’t know actually because I wear so many different things, if we’re going for comfort? Black sweatpants, black hoodie perhaps, or a band hoodie. Band shirt or my Stunt Girl by Placebo band shirt, probably a long sleeved top underneath the t-shirt with leopard print in black or red on it or stripes.

For style favourites, at least right now, usually some kind of long tailed suit, fancy hats, suits and hats, and good formal shoes. Or platforms, probably looking like a goth drag Queen but then more androgynous with other types of clothes. My favourite shoes though used to be a pair of double stacked platforms I went everywhere in. Even the woods once.

That being said I love cosplay, so then there’s a whole other world of favourites. 😭

🦖 Favorite extinct animal?

Genuinely, dinosaurs. But specifically, The Hydrorion, and The Elasmosaurus.

People used to think the Loch Ness monster was the last plesiosaur, a Hydrorion! So one day I’d like to visit the place where that myth is popular! It was nice to find out as a child about Nessie with how these were my favourites, and I sooo wanted to see if it was true and believed it till I got older.

It was probably believed it could’ve been the last one because Plesiosaurs (the family of dinosaurs it comes from) survived the mass extinctions during the Permian era (the Triassic era), and were known for their great ability for adapting and great resistance.

There’s no sign of sympathy in his words. And while his actions were deliberate, having previously decided to relax and show a bit of skin, getting that little bit of satisfaction from Minato’s reaction is just one reason for him doing such. 

It’s hot, and miserably so; even with the air conditioner on full blast, Cicero has to further cool himself down somehow. Perhaps that’s what he gets for volunteering to venture out and grab a couple of drinks to share from the vending machine down the block... in the middle of summer when the sun is blazing high in the sky, no less.

“What`s it gonna take for me to loosen you up a little, hm?”

The teasing continues, and by now Cicero has made his way behind Minato. With hands especially cold from the beverage he’d been holding, he places his palms upon the junctures of his neck and shoulders. There, he presses his fingers into his skin - firm, just enough so to relieve some of the tension that’d built up in his muscles.

“Well? How `bout a quick massage?”
