one thing tendonna has over fourteendonna is. the reason it hits so hard bc ten actually normally sucks hes an arrogant little shit and he thinks he has final say in everything and has a primal need to always be the smartest person in the room, And now donna on a much smaller scale is also slightly awful, she's mean and a bit vain and self-centered and initially lacks this greater perspective granted because her life is soso small... BUT THEN WHEN THEYRE TOGETJER something nuclear explosive happens and they just make each other so much better and bring out the best in each other and balance each other out sososo well and and Which is delicious precisely because of the Contrast of who they are otherwise

meanwhile fourteendonna is in a completely different place where they don't really need each other to make each other better anymore. they've both had character development apart from each other (yet deliciously obviously this character development was still so deeply influenced by each other with donna haunting 12 in his s8-9 chatacter development, and donna subconsciously wanting to be helpful and kind like the doctor even though she doesnt remember him.) so fourteendonna doesnt have the spice but it's made up for the fact that the reason they want to be together again is just because they enjoy each others company so so much and they love and care for each other so deeply. Which i will never in a million years complain about

even as a donna noble-r i dont really want a tenndonna tv spinoff. well its like i do but i think objectively ive been pandered to enough and i shouldnt get everything i want. maybe one one-off episode once every million years at MOST. maybe a guest appearance for the lols. i think big finish should go ham with it though

one thing i feel terrible robbed of is because of the metacrisis, donna not only has the tenth doctor in her mind but the CURRENT doctor and is completely caught up on everything So now there wont be any cute little scenes written for me where the doctor catches her up to speed on what hes been up to in the past thousands of years. and donna doesnt get to look at him with horror on her face realizing its been that long for him, yet he still remembers how she likes her coffee

weird train of thought but what The not-donna and doctor Scene made me consider is if actual donna is just as capable of completely destroying him like that. obviously, she never would but just the thought that she's capable is very enticing on it's own

ive often thought that tendonna are exactly what all the media with two male leads trying to write a Platonic Bromance but ending up writing something completely obviously gay were Trying and Failing to do .Like tendonna is the golden example of a True and Real bromance

donna did get a bit flattened though to like just a device to further the doctors character development and healing... Like she out of anyone especially does deserve a happy ending and to be alive and well, with all her memorys and i'm glad she got it but it very much felt like she just exists in the story (at least in the giggle specifically) for the benefit of the doctor and his happy ending almost

Okay so I think the bi-regeneration thing is so absurd and so stupid and I could fume about it all day long but objectively did I win? Yes. Doctor Who is not a competition but if it was I would be winning and I would be winning harder than anyones ever won
