These are one of only four pair of emerald earrings in the Queen's possession, and are among the oldest. They're very simple in style, each comprised of a large cabochon emerald set in a cluster of eleven brilliant-cut diamonds.

These diamond and pearl drop earrings are ultimate classics: absolutely timeless, perfectly versatile, and endlessly useful. The earrings feature a round diamond stud, from which is suspended an additional round diamond and a bell cap set with three more rows of small diamonds. The bell caps each contain a lovely pearl drop. ~ The Court Jeweller

The Duchess also wore a new brooch, suspected to be a piece from Robinson Pelham. A jeweller who also designed the earrings Catherine wore on her wedding day.

The Baring Ruby Necklace
It is thought that the three central pendants - each a flat-cut ruby surrounded by brilliants - were originally used as a pair of earrings and a pendant before they were turned into pendants on this necklace of ruby and diamond clusters separated by single diamonds.

For their fifth wedding anniversary, Prince Philip envisioned this magnificent bracelet of gold, platinum, sapphires, diamonds and rubies which takes the form of a repeating pattern of their initials “E” and “P”. The bracelet also features two jewelled roses and Prince Philip’s own naval badge. The bracelet was expertly crafted by the jewellers of London’s Boucheron.

The Duchess of Teck’s Collet Necklace.
Tumblr media
It is likely that this necklace (or the greater part of the stones now in it) came to Princess Mary Adelaide, Duchess of Teck, from her aunt, Princess Mary, Duchess of Gloucester.
A year later, on the Duchess of Gloucester’s death, the Princess also received from her aunt her ‘single row of diamonds’, in addition to other jewellery. A later inventory of Princess Mary Adelaide’s jewellery records the legacy from the Duchess of Gloucester as ‘A Diamond Necklace of 49 Diamonds, and clasp of small Diamonds’, which is probably to be identified with this necklace.
The necklace was bequeathed by Queen Mary to Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, and was inherited by Queen Elizabeth II in 2002.

Jewel of the day: Queen Camilla attending Easter Service.
HM wears an emerald and diamond brooch that belonged to Elizabeth II.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The diamond, sapphire, and emerald brooch was originally owned by Queen Mary who was photographed wearing it in the early 1900’s. One significant occasion which it was worn was in August 1909 when the British Royal Family was joined by Tsar Nicholas II and his family for the Cowes Regatta.
The brooches was inherited by Queen Elizabeth II who only wore it a handful of times publicly. It was photographed for Angela Kelly’s wonderful book Dressing The Queen, published after the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. ~~ British Royal Jewels IG

Jewel of the day
18.03.2024 - Princess Anne, patron, Save the Children UK, attended the annual IFR Awards Dinner.
The Princess Royal wore a pair of pearl earrings and a suspected matching necklace that she has seemingly only worn once before in 2000.
Anne turned 50 that year, so it could very well be a birthday gift.
