i’ve only seen maybe one other comic about joey’s relationship with her mom, so i thought i’d make a little something about it. i really tried to get creative with the layout of panels because a lot of the entries i’ve seen over the course of the contest have been very lovely and i felt like i needed to step up my game.

i may or may not be projecting onto joey a little here

#HIVESWAPCOMICSCONTEST #joey claire #hiveswap #long post #so time to type a ten paragraph essay into the tags so i don't clutter the post itself #i'm going to try to paraphrase it a bit since the first draft of the tags was absolutely enormous #1) i spent a LONG time on this thing which is quite unusual for me since i work quickly #i wanted it to be as polished as i could possibly do and i reviewed the comic as i made progress on it over and over #and i fixed every mistake i could though i think there are still some things that could be better #2) i know both entries have been about joey specifically and the Got Damn truth is just that im bad at writing trolls #and i haven't had a lot of ideas relating to them #there seems to be a pattern of longer more elaborate comics having a higher chance of achieving first place #and this isn't too long or elaborate #but oh well i think im proud of it regardless #my competetive ass needs 2 sit the hell down fuiwgfwuygfw #my art
