who reaches out to new neighbors - chloe 100% although i’d like to think that down the line it’s actually their kids who get instantly curious and ask for chloe to make some cookies so they can go greet the new neighbors (is that just an excuse to have a sweet treat? maybe). beca just grumbles the whole way through the entire process bc ‘what if they just want their peace and quiet, chlo?’ ‘ not everyone is like you, babe”

who remembers to buy healthy food - both of them. they’re both pretty healthy in their food habits, and they do make an extra effort once kids get thrown into the mix

who remembers to buy junk food - also both of them, they just have different tastes for it. chloe leans more towards sweets, whereas beca is more of a frozen- pizza-and-salty-crackers-and-maybe-let’s-have-a-burger-tonight type of gal, not that chloe complains. they’ll make sure they have a balanced diet, but some nights or on lazy days they’ll just indulge with no regrets

who fixes the oven when it breaks - neither of them. after a disastruous encounter with a broken faucet and the formation of a small pond in their nyc appartment, it was a mutually agreed upon deal to always call someone when anything breaks, and they always keep that deal in later years as well

who waters the plants/ feeds their pet(s) - surprisingly, maybe, beca is the one to always remember to water the plants. chloe is the one to be feeding their eventual two puppies and three cats, to maybe an extensive extent. at least beca thinks so. chloe does not

who wakes up earlier - chloe. she likes to have ample time before she has to leave for work to wake up properly, bc even tho she likes waking up early she can be a bit grumpy for the rest of the day if forced to rush through her morning routine. so even though their schedules eventually match hours wise, chloe is always the one out of bed first. however, on lazy days, chloe is the one to leave their bed second, whereas beca prefers getting up around the same time no matter the day

who makes the bed - beca. she likes having a certain order about things, and chloe is more the ‘but it will get messy again by next morning’ type of person. chloe also has her way of doing certain things, she values order as well, and she can also get very particular abt it; bed making is just not on that list for her

who makes the coffee - beca. even on the days chloe wakes up first, beca has set the timer on their coffee maker and made the necessary preparations so fresh, hot coffee will be waiting for them by the time even chloe’s alarm goes off

who burns breakfast - neither of them. chloe knows her way around the kitchen, since she used to cook for the bellas very often, and beca just won’t attempt it often enough bc she doesn’t trust herself around a stove ‘and its many tiny buttons’. when she does attempt it, however, she’s so stressed and careful abt her mission that nothing ends up getting burnt

how do they let each other know they’re leaving the house - always with a kiss. even when in a hurry, they won’t omit that part. chloe loves that little part of their routine, and beca does too but she also knows how much that small gesture means to chloe. and even though beca rolls her eyes when she, rarely, forgets and chloe calls her back bc ‘no leaving without kiss first’, she finds incredible comfort in it

how do they greet each other when one of them gets home - chloe always calls out a sweet nickname, followed by the exclamation ‘i’m home!’ before she has even stepped through the door. if beca calls out, it will just be ‘chlo’. most times she will just quietly get in, look for chloe, and then allow herself a few moments to take her in, no matter what she’s doing at the moment, before making her presence known. and ofc there’s always a kiss following the greetings, no matter who it is that just got home

who brings home little gifts like flowers/ chocolates more often - beca, bc she knows how soft sweet lil gestures like that make chloe, and how meaningful she finds them. chloe does something similar; it’s when beca has been really excited abt something and chloe just buys it and surprises her with it, even on random days, bc ‘it doesn’t have to be a special occasion to get you a gift, bec’

who picks the movie for movie night - chloe. beca remains throughout the years not really interested in movies, so movie nights are not that common for them anyway. beca does grow to love documentaries, though, so she’ll often pick one for them to watch in the weekend

their favorite kind of movie to watch - indie films, the thematology of the specific movie doesn’t really matter to them. they’re both creative, and really appreciative of hard work and dedication, so even beca watches them quite gladly. ofc, chloe loves anything with romance in it, too

who first suggests a pillow fort - chloe, just bc she knows how much beca secretly loves them. beca will grumble abt upending the whole living room and making a mess and ‘i’m not picking all that back up after, just letting you know’; however, her smile doesn’t leave her face the whole time and that’s all that chloe needs

who builds the pillow fort - they both do, together, although chloe generally leads the opperation. however, through the years, and when they know the other has had a rough day, they’ll each built it for the other

who tries to distract the other during the movie - chloe. even tho she’s not much for movies, beca likes to actually do the thing they’ve set out to do, since they commited to doing it. chloe’s mind- and hands- don’t really need much incentive to start wondering during movie time, especially if it turns out it’s not a very interesting one. beca does not complain

(i realize now the questions said ‘move’ but what does that even mean?? like, when they move houses? in any case, i’m going with ‘movie’ ksdjfhks)

who falls asleep first - beca. chloe’s energy will tamper down only after she’s in bed, so beca is usually the one to fall asleep on the couch. even in bed, when they’re both reading a book or something, beca will fall asleep first. chloe finds it adorable

who is big spoon/ little spoon - beca is the little spoon, and chloe the big spoon. chloe likes to tease beca abt how that makes perfect sense, really, since beca is smoler, and beca pretends to grumble abt that - mainly bc any opportunity she can get to make chloe smile or laugh, she takes it. however, chloe loves how, after she’d had a rough day, beca will just wordlessly take up the big spoon role
