TJ Clark in Youtube Clark adalah penulis serangkaian buku tentang karakter sosial dan dinamika formal seni modern: The Absolute Bourgeois: Artists and Politics in France 1848-1851 (1973); Gambar Rakyat: Gustave Courbet dan Revolusi 1848 (1973); Lukisan Kehidupan Modern: Paris dalam Seni Manet dan Pengikutnya (1984); dan Perpisahan dengan Ide: Episode dari Sejarah Modernisme (1999); serta Afflicted Powers: Capital and Spectacle in a New Age of War (ditulis dengan “Retort,” 2005); The Sight of Death: Sebuah Eksperimen dalam Penulisan Seni (2006); Picasso dan Kebenaran: Dari Kubisme ke Guernica (2013); dan sebuah buku yang menyertai pameran di Tate Britain, ditulis bersama Anne M. Wagner, Lowry and the Painting of Modern Life (2013).
Pemikiran Seni T.J. Clark
Kontribusi Penelitian Seni Clark
Read the full article

May 13, 2019
Okay, so this week has started. Today began with me waking up a bit too late (#sorrynotsorry hehehehhe) but I still manage to do all my morning rotine, eat a nice breakfast and fix some stuff around the dorm. So, it's okay that I cheated a little but let's be honest guys is so hard waking up early on mondays 😭.
Next, I had lunch at the school cafeteria known as Bandejão da Química. It was nice today. Veggie option was a mean lasagna.
Today my main focus was my Ielts prep course that only began at 2 pm so I killed the time reading a book by T.J. Clark, "The Painting of Modern Life: Paris in the Art of Manet and his Followers". I am going to make a presentation about it in June so I decided to start reading now. I am super nervous about this because the course professor is my research supervisor and I really want to impress her.
The Ielts course went well enough. Though my english writing skills are still laking a lot if my grades are saying anything 😔 (sorry for any mistakes by the way, I am really trying).
And last but not least I did some exercise in the college gym. Nothing much but just enough to end the day tired as hell.
Tomorrow is another day so let's keep trying to achieve better results!! Bye for now! 😊
PS: The pics contain my dissertation final stage schedule and a beautiful art by my sister who is an amazing ilustrator 🥰 it says "anxious" in portuguese (pretty much how I feel all the time hehehe).

Picasso and Truth: From Cubism to Guernica
Picasso and Truth offers a breathtaking and original new look at the most significant artist of the modern era. From Pablo Picasso's early The Blue Room to the later Guernica, eminent art historian T. J. Clark offers a striking reassessment of the artist's paintings from the 1920s and 1930s. Why was the space of a room so basic to Picasso's worldview? And what happened to his art when he began to feel that room-space become too confined--too little exposed to the catastrophes of the twentieth century? Clark explores the role of space and the interior, and the battle between intimacy and monstrosity, in Picasso's art. Based on the A. W. Mellon Lectures in the Fine Arts delivered at the National Gallery of Art, this lavishly illustrated volume remedies the biographical and idolatrous tendencies of most studies on Picasso, reasserting the structure and substance of the artist's work.
With compelling insight, Clark focuses on three central works--the large-scale Guitar and Mandolin on a Table (1924), The Three Dancers (1925), and The Painter and His Model (1927)--and explores Picasso's answer to Nietzsche's belief that the age-old commitment to truth was imploding in modern European culture. Masterful in its historical contextualization, Picasso and Truth rescues Picasso from the celebrity culture that trivializes his accomplishments and returns us to the tragic vision of his art--humane and appalling, naïve and difficult, in mourning for a lost nineteenth century, yet utterly exposed to the hell of Europe between the wars.

Macro Minerals- Magnesium
Magnesium
Magnesium is the fourth most abundant cation (a positively charged ion) in the body, with 60% in the bone and 40% distributed equally between muscle and non-muscular soft tissue. Only 1% of magnesium is extracellular. Magnesium has an important role in at least 300 fundamental enzymatic reactions, including the transfer of phosphate groups, the acylation of coenzyme A in the…

“Hi, I’m looking for TJ.” Noah spoke to the person at the counter, turning over the business card in her hands as she looked around the shop. She hadn’t been into one on her own before, usually just dragging behind Killian and not looking around much. But TJ was a compelling (and hot) salesman so she couldn’t help but take him up on his offer. “I’m here to let you convert me,” she joked as he came out of the back and she gave him a sweet smile. “You know I’m clueless so..please guide me through this.”
