unpopular opinion (maybe): daniel garcias moment to get away from the JAS being a tag team match with bryan against jericho & sammy is a weird choice.

People on twitter blaming Ricky for his lost momentum (or Punk ofc) is crazy to me. He went from feuding with Punk and backup Bryan to Yuta at the PPV (no shade on Yuta but that's like going from the final boss to the tutorial.. the whole angle of I can't beat you Bryan but at least I can beat Yuta was a big wet fart), to being in a tag team where he occasionally gets tagged in to do two moves, to not one but two ex WWE guys trying to shoot bury him in promos to being pinned by fucking Sammy Guevara. I can see the life leaving his eyes in real time.

Fire Chris Jericho
So I just read about the shit about Chris Jericho that came out today(or last night?). For those who don't know, here's the thread. Also if you still aren't convinced read this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then Hausman's comment on Jerichovid's Christmas morning blowup makes a lot of sense...
Tumblr media
Okay. FUCK CHRIS JERICHO. I fucking knew as soon as he was caught donating money to Trump, had Donny Dipshit Jr on his podcast and his wife being at the insurrection that he was a piece of shit. But I never fucking knew he was a fucking Weinstein level creep. No wonder this sack of fucking shit was defending Ric Flair, Sammy Guevara and Vince McMahon
Tony Khan had the audacity to speak on Vince McMahon’s sexual misconduct, while protecting Chris Jericho and forcing women to sign NDA’s to keep them quiet
Tony Khan and certain people within AEW knew, and nobody thought to speak up. Instead they remained quiet. I'm disgusted.
I mean fuck. This was his response to her no longer being with AEW. He sounded very guilty.
I shouldn't be fucking surprised that Jericho was protected. Because let's not fucking forget. President of Impact Wrestling Don Callis leaving under a cloud of sexual harassment rumours, just to end up in a top position in AEW tells you exactly all you need to know about the thought process of that company when it comes to safety of their female employees/talent.
Let's also not forget that Jay Lethal was implicated in #speakingout as well as Callis, but Tony hired him too and keeps featuring him in prominent spots, even if those spots constantly has him job.
Lets also not forget that AEW hired Will Ospreay after blackballing a wrestler who accused his friend of sexual misconduct.
AEW seems to be a hive of sex pests and enables said sex pests and I shouldn't fucking be surprised that Jerhico got away with it. AEW's priorities are never with their female talent, employees or friends. It's just a fucking boys club where they always get protected and the women are treated like shit.
Another major AEW event overshadowed by self-induced in-house drama.
Fuck Chris Jericho. Fuck his fans. Fuck his enablers. Everyone who knew about it and stayed quiet out of their own interests, media people, management, talent, fuck all of you. Tony Khan you have one decision to make and that is to fucking fire Chris Jericho, if you don't, you are fucking complicit.
And while we're at it, fuck Nick Hausman for not speaking up sooner and only using this as an opportunity as a Twitter gotcha.
Fuck Chris Jericho. Fuck Nick Hausman. Fuck Tony Khan. Fuck Vince McMahon. Fuck Ric Flair. Fuck anyone who knew about this and any similar situation did nothing. Always believe the victims, raise their voices, don’t silence them.
I hope Kylie Rae, and any other potential victims, have found it within themselves to heal and live comfortably.

Drunk and Tired
Tumblr media
Parring: ‘Hangman’ Adam Page x Reader
Warning: Fluff.
Word Count: 1,402
Summary: You and Adam celebrate after having amazing matches and end up cuddling. You two just want to be in each others embraces so you fall asleep.
A/N: It wasn’t supposed to be this long but hope you Enjoy!
Tumblr media
You and Adam had great matches tonight. Adam just won the Casino Ladder Match and you were happy for him. Although your match wasn’t as important but it helped you move to rank number 4 in the women’s division so you both achieved something special and how do you two celebrate?
Beer.
What better way to celebrate than beer? Drinking an ice cold beer or even shots of Vodka or Tequila. You two decided to meet up in the parking lot after taking a shower and getting your bags ready. You were currently walking to the parking lot with your bags on your shoulder.
As you stood there waiting for Adam you scrolled through Twitter and saw how many retweeted about Adam winning the Ladder Match and how Moxley should of won but you didn't care because guess who walked out with the chip in his hand?
HANGMAN ADAM PAGE!
You smiled as you read all the comments on how people were arguing over who was better. You didn't even realize Adam standing next to you. "You ready?" His voice made you jump. "Gosh, Adam! You scared me!" You said holding your hand on you chest.
Adam laughed and it made you get butterflies. You and Adam have been friends for a very long time and you've always had feelings for him but tried brushing it off because of you're careers. He was getting popular as he came in AEW and you were slowly rising to the top and knowing Tony, he would probably put y'all in a storyline against Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti or something.
It's not that you don't want to date Adam but you feel like he's into his career and not looking for a relationship. When Dark Order member's try setting him up on dates he would say he's not 'Looking for someone right now.' He said it everytime, so he would most likely say that to you.
"Y/n? You ok?" Adam broke you out of your thoughts. "Yea I'm fine and I'm ready." You we're kind of happy because you could hear the concern in his voice, showing that he cared about you. "Ok let's go." You two happily made your way to his truck and he opened the trunk.
He put his bags in the trunk and watched as you tried lifting yours up. "No. You don't do that go get in the car." He pushed you near the passengers side and grabbed the bags of your hand and placed them in the trunk.
You didn't stop the smile from forming in your face at how a gentleman he was being. As Adam got in the car he saw the smile on your face. "What's got you smiling like that?" He started up the car and began to drive. "Just thinking about you.”
You weren’t gonna hide anything other than your feeling from Adam. “Good or bad?” He looked over at you. “All good.” Silence filled the car as the low volume of the radio playing. “I saw your match.” Adam said breaking the silence. “You did? How did I do?” You two would always give feedbacks on how y’all did in matches.
“Great but the only thing you need to do is watch the knees when doing you’re frog splash.” You nodded your head, taking notes as he told you what was wrong. You pulled in the bar and Adam parked the car.
“You ready to celebrate?” He unblocked his seat belt. “Yup but make sure you don’t drink so much. I don’t wanna drive.” Adam laughed and rolled his eyes. “Darling do you not know who I am?” Darling. When he called you that it made you wish he would call you that eveyday.
Shaking your head you unbuckled your seat belt and walked to the door. As you and Adam stepped a foot inside you saw all the people dancing, singing karaoke, drinking, eat, and all. You and Adam went to a table in the corner.
“Drinks on me!” Adam said before you even sat down. You couldn’t argue because you knew he wouldn’t give up until he paid. “Fine but next time I got it.” Adam laughed loud. “Sure we’ll see.” A waiter came over. “Hey Adam and Y/n what can I get y’all?” Adam was at the bar so many times the workers knew who he was and what he liked.
You didn’t go often but they knew you because Adam talked about you. (But you didn’t need to know that.) “Yea just some Beer for us.” Adam wanted to start off easy and not go straight to liquor. The waiter Joey went back to get the beer. “Your match was amazing! I was hoping you would win.” You stared off a conversation.
“Oh yeah? You we’re rooting for me and not Moxley?” He sounded a little surprise. You loved Jon, especially when he was Dean Ambrose so when you saw Adam vs Jon last, you were on the edge of your chair. “Of course I was but you are my best friend. You’ve been there for me in ways Moxley could never.”
Adam smiled at that statement. “Here are your drinks.” Joey came with 4 beers. He knew better than to just give Adam 1. Whatever you wouldn’t drink Adam would finish. “Thanks Joe.” Joey nodded and walked off to another table.
You took a sip of the beer and hmmed. Meanwhile, Adam took gulps after gulped and next thing you knew, it was all gone. “Damn Adam!” You giggled. “What? I love beer!” Judging by the way he drunk that he doesn’t have to tell you.
You two sat there watching people do karaoke and evening clapping when someone actually sounded sober. You drink half of your first drink and felt like you had to pee. “Imma go to the bathroom.” You got up and went to the bathroom.
You did your business and washed your hands. You walked back to the table and was surprised to see Your beer gone. “Adam why? I was gonna drink that!” You whined, sitting down. “I’m sorry it was just staring at me, begging me to drink them.” You couldn’t even be mad at him.
“I’ll buy you some later but now we’ve drink 4 beers so it’s time for a little liquor.” Yeah ‘we’ve’ drunk 4. You barley got 1 down. Adam called for Joey and he came. “Can you get us 2 shots of Hennessy and Vodka? Only fill it half way though.” Of course he chooses those type drinks. You hope he could still drive after done with those.
Joey disappeared again and came back with the shots. Adam handed them to you. “Cheers to winning our matches.” Adam toasted while clinging your glasses together. “Cheers.” You smiled while drinking it. Your smile was dropped off your face when tasting the strong drink.
Adam gulped it down without any other drink. “Drink it all.” You shook your head. It was just too strong for you to handle. “Come on, if your drink that one we can go home.” It was getting a little late and you we’re a little tired so you drunk it all in one swing. You coughed as the burning sensation went down your throat.
Adam drunk the rest of the drinks and left money on the table. He took your hand and guided you through the crowd of dancing people. You two made it outside and entered the car. You both were sober enough to drive so Adam started driving to his house.
It wasn’t far from the bar so it didn’t take but 10 minutes. As you pulled through the driveway you were fighting sleep. You heard Adam’s door open and close. Your door opened and you felt arms wrap around you. “Come on Y/n.” Adam mumbled, carrying you bridal style to the door.
Adam opened the door and kicked it with his feet and made his way to his bedroom. He took off your shirt and jeans and his jeans knowing you would never sleep in jeans. You slowly went under the covers and cuddled up in Adams side.
You wish every day could be like this but you didn’t care. All you cared about was you and Adam cuddling.

Kevin Kelley
I've read the tweets that reportedly got Kevin Kelley fired from AEW, and while I agree that he was out of line, it feels like a disproportionate response. This feels like something you'd get fined or suspended over. I would expect a dirtsheet to report "backstage heat" on Kevin Kelley, and not much beyond that.
I mean, Andrade and Sammy Guevara got in a fight a while back, and they got sent home for a while, and that was it. CM Punk "lunged" at Tony Khan, and he did get fired, but it took Tony a week to decide. So I'm kind of thinking Kelley's tweets were just the tip of the iceberg, and he's been getting on AEW's nerves for a while now until they finally decided they'd had enough.
Everyone points to his NJPW work as a career highlight for him, but I'm starting to think that was just a low bar that he managed to clear. New Japan wants an English commentary track on their shows, but they're not exactly making it a priority. I've watched NJPW shows where the English commentary just wasn't available, or it was just Chris Charleton doing it solo, or with an English-speaking wrestler sitting in, or Kevin Kelley doing a remote thing from the U.S. Have they even replaced him yet?
I found his work in NJPW serviceable, but mostly because it was handy that I could understand what he was saying. Still, the Japanese commentary team had way, way more energy. There were times I could get into the Japanese commentary just because of their excitement. Most of the time, Kevin Kelley just seemed happy to be there. And that isn't enough to cut it in AEW.
A lot of people have complained about his low-effort work. I can't say I really noticed, but I guess that's part of the problem. Nigel McGuinness is an obnoxious heel, Tony Shiovane's constantly marking out like a small child who just got into wrestling, and Excalibur's a super nerd who memorized all the move names and stats. What's Kevin Kelley got? That Bobby Hill battle cry from... 2001? Holy shit, I knew it was old, but damn. Kelley bragged on Twitter that he's the best play-by-play guy in the business, but he can't even articulate why he thinks that. If he can't sell himself to the audience, how can he put over anyone else?
I've heard rumors that he's a fascist, or he's involved with Qanon. That might be an exaggeration, but the drama he started on Twitter had to do with his support for that "Sound of Freedom" movie, which has been criticized for stoking Qanon conspiracy theories. A smarter performer might realize that it's not a good idea to link himself to a controversial topic like this, but Kevin Kelley seems to be a true believer in the movie's message, so when his Ian Riccaboni calls him out on it he doubles down.
And maybe that's enough to get him fired, but if this is his attitude, then I have a feeling he's been pushing "Sound of Freedom" or some other nonsense to anyone who'll listen, and probably making a nusiance of himself backstage, and this Twitter thing has been the last straw. If he had enough talent, maybe Tony could let it slide, but he's whipping out "That's my purse!" when a wrestler gets hit in the balls, so I'm pretty sure they could find someone less disruptive to make those kinds of insightful calls.
Anyway, I'm watching Collision right now, and I can't say that I miss the guy. If he's really drinking the Qanon Kool-Aid, then fuck him, but otherwise he was just sort of there, utterly dispensable and barely noticeable.

the thing about the aew releases (and possibly more releases coming..) is that people arent mad that they are cutting talent in general; the part people are mad about is the talent thats being cut. so many on the list from yesterday were either prominent characters, really good workers, actually good and beloved wrestlers, THE BOYS WERE LITERALLY PART OF A STORYLINE that finishes this friday, slim j was severely fucked over with his character and not being let to wrestle, anthony henry is FUCKING INJURED (and they just released workhorsemen merch and kept his tag partner like. what?)...
meanwhile they continue to employ people who obviously dont want to be there or need to be there. we have no use for miro who keeps fucking things over by being a poor pissbaby about his booking (and tony being a spineless bitch just accepting it lmao), jericho who is all sorts of mcfucking problematic, nobody wants sammy guevara, honestly they should do something about max caster as well (as hilarious as i find some of his shit; the twitter stuff has gotten way out of control), among probably many others but i cant think right now
just. yeah. this isnt about talent cuts in general, we all know aew roster is bloated to hell and back with people and its to the detriment of the company. however they way they are handling it? not the solution
(also the fact that they made a comment about this being "budget cuts" makes no sense when they let go people who barely are featured and are paid peanuts. its just bullshit excuses, as per usual)

Eddie Kingston had been suspended by AEW
Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara were supposed to compete at All Out, but that doesn't seem like it's happening.
AEW hasn't confirmed one way or another, but Eddie Kingston has been off television the last couple of weeks, with Fightful gaining word he was briefly suspended by the company. Fightful has been unable to confirm that with All Elite Wrestling, but have heard that he's already completed it. Kingston has not been present at recent All Elite Wrestling segments, and we've been told of at least one segment to build up the once-planned All Out match that was scrapped. Rumors among talent that we've heard about said that Guevara and Kingston had developed heat and it devolved into an "altercation." The word backstage was that Guevara made a comment about Kingston's physique, and Kingston took a swing at him. We've not confirmed that with anyone that witnessed it, and reached out to both parties.
The feud is continuing, as Sammy Geuvara and Tay Melo are taking on Ortiz and Ruby Soho on Rampage.
Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp noted ahead of AEW Dynamite on Twitter that All Out changes were happening. At that time, there were no matches that were publicly set for the show that would end up on the actual card.
We haven't learned if this situation has since been rectified, or the status of the match moving forward.

Bonus Pod: Oh my God, It’s Trish!
We tricked Collective Crush of the Pod Trish Speirs (@trishspeirs48 on twitter, @shadow-chaser here) into joining us for an extra special bonus episode! It’s a long one folks, but it’s not our fault as we were spellbound by everything Trish had to say. We got into it about Hangman’s title run and the ways in which he succeeded and the ways in which he never got a chance. We also ask Trish about the AEW originals who have been devalued, the popularity of Sammy Guevara, why Dax Harwood is always yelling, and generalize wildly about why men are so weird about the Elite. Punk and FTR fans, this one’s not for you, but we could have danced all night!
Listen now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts!
