SHE BURSTS INTO LAUGHTER. Not the restrained, closed mouth kind, hidden behind hands- no, this is the kind where tears spring from the corners of her eyes and Allegra has to set the pin down rather than in the pin cushion on her wrist, lest she wants to prick herself. It takes a moment or two for her to calm down, although her darling brother can wait forever for all she cares. If he has time to barge into her penthouse while she’s in the atelier, he has time to wait for a response.

“What, you think just because I work outside of our family company I’ve become one of the little people? And pray tell, oppa, exactly what about our family am I supposed to be proud of? Inheriting the money our darling father made before we were even born? Just face it, you might be first in line to inherit the company once our darling father kicks the bucket, but you’ll be nothing more than a placeholder. Certainly no one for the history books to write back about. I don’t need our family name to get where I need to be.”

She gestures at her atelier, where Bellamy has so benevolently decided to grace his presence in. “This is not Kang property. I paid for this space with the money I earned.” Her atelier, strewn with scrap fabrics and threads, pin cushions with pins and needles of all sizes, where the mannequins with half finished dresses and elaborate stitching and fabric rolls line the back wall, where her desk is covered with magazines and sketches ranging from completed to discards and all in between. 

This all came from Allegra, no, Aeri’s own two hands. A career that her mother never supported, her father didn’t even have time to care about, and her older siblings, too caught up in their own ‘important and precious’ responsibilities as heirs and heiresses to the Kang family, were indifferent too. And in spite of all that, Aeri made it to the top, out of the thousands vying for her position. So they call her an elitist, a snob, and even a bitch.

But in truth, she knows, they’re jealous. To respect her would mean to acknowledge they themselves have not put in the hours or the work to get to where she is.

( There is a reason, in the fashion world, she goes by AERI. Not Kang Aeri. )

She turns and sneers at him. It’s not unlike the trademark kind expected from a Kang. “But you’re right, dear brother. I am not one of them and I will never be. But I am also not one of you and I don’t plan to be. Ever.”

(the subtle jab to the Kang businessman, even.) that is to say: yes, the world is unjust. acknowledging it was one thing . . . but what are you gonna DO about it, was what Taiyang wanted to know. of course, he expects very little action or understanding from a Kang. the last time he'd expected JUSTICE from one of them, he'd been sorely disappointed . . . so he goes back to watching the fight, although it holds little entertainment for him. indifferent to the spectacle, he unpeels and takes a stick of red-tinted gum in his mouth, and puts his feet up in the VIP section they inhabit; bespeaking a dry commentary, with a little smirk, and a subtle side-eye to the Kang; " . . . they should throw some of those 'wealthy', 'favored' people in the ring sometime, to duke it out. now that would be a good fight. "

She wishes he wasn’t part of any aspect of her life but there wasn't much she could do about it unless it meant to get rid of him as a whole. You know. An accident. But that wasn’t going to happen either. Yet? But she did like him when they were dating, perhaps there shall always be a lingering feeling whenever she sees him and that’s what she didn’t like. She didn’t like all the unrequitedness she has for her exes. Out of sight, out of mind. But he did come all the way to her atelier for her.

“I told you I am not going to that party with you, go ask some of your other girls.. And stop coming over, I can’t have people thinking we are back together” She says with a sly annoyed tone that was asking to leave from her lips but she is as cordial as she can.

I graduated !

Hello everyone, last week I graduated from my 10 years of study so guess I'm a Doctor now, surprise. I was away due to the event as I was part of the organization team for the gala night with other students and it was AMAZING. It's funny how I rped for as long as I was studying /10 years/, I took these long breaks when my studies got too hard and came back when I needed a little distraction from my internships and so :). I know I say that everytime I do a little ooc speech but that's how important it is for me to be Grateful : I'm so happy everytime I come back to my partners here even after a small 1 week break. I have three weeks of vacations before starting my resident job, I have many new ideas and replies to get to, also I'll INVADE your asksboxs with memes and reply to all of your open starters so get ready for that !

I've been a little more active on @geaesaekki as we're starting Korean Chaebol/Celebrity verse with Ferre Len Winter and Bee. You can find me on @devangelis and @usuhan too that's a new blog I want to develop and maybe add more guys there. I'm coming back to @eroticabomination who's my Helter Skelter manic girl, and slowly coming back to @yaoogui as well I miss my dirt boys.

this blog is now @hymnoire.

I decided to change this blog and only write Gaya (and her alter ego) here, which slightly changes the tone of this blog. I'm really looking forward developping Gaya's backstory involving her childhood in a orphanage that was borderline a cult, and expend her universe by giving her her own space.

Worry not Mara is not deleted she is added to another blog I had that I renamed @geaesaekki (which is the former name of hymnoire), as I loved that URL and want to keep it. On this blog I had an Ahn Sohee fc named Devora and I might revive one of my muse who used to be a Suji fc, might revamp her a bit as well, we will see later on about that. if you still want to write with Mara, I'll answer our threads there starting from now on.

I was sick of the URL "usuhan", I renamed it @rosedesang, it is the blog where I write Bellamy Serephina and Dante who are Gaya's adoptive family. If you're interested you can follow that one too.

okay so i know that CALISTA is on hiatus, HOWEVER would she like a friend aka can YOOJIN be frends with her bc they are both immortals who lowkey wanna die (yoojin's just better at hiding it :'( )...but they cope with their immortality in opposite ways. whereas calista hides away from society in one place, yoojin is a nomad, can't stay in one place for too long. i could see something in calista resonating with yoojin when it comes to tru feelings....also just thinking yoojin randomly visiting her like once a century bc 'hi i know we haven't talked since like the 1900s so how have you been'. also more opposite vibes in that calista loves reading and you would have to pay yoojin to hold a book :'D

we did talk about this briefly but...ILANA?? being the lu*cy-gr*ey figure for my interpretation of SNOW 🤩🤩🤩 aka being the one person who haunts him for life bc she was the one person who escaped him....and who he could never control. i see them being like toxic lovers ( although the toxicity is probably coming from his side more :'D )...this is also to say though if we're doing something similar to the books, i would love...if ELISE, the mockingjay figure in our THG verse, could perhaps be a descendant of ilana since she had to have heard one of ilana's songs (the hanging tree) from somewhere....i don't think elise would have to be a grandchild of ilana, but you know ilana haunting snow would be a dream come tru of mine <3

still building on that though, PERHAPS?? in the crime verse, since i plan on SNOW being like the mastermind of ANACHRON, maybe he and ILANA could also have been lovers for a brief time too?? before she scams him and maybe it was a while back , but snow also suck at letting things which is probably why he ended up opening base in seoul aka subconsciously looking for her, but also wanting to hm, how should i say this, show her how much better off he is without her anyways if that makes any sense?? basically he's a boy having a temper tantrum about a situationship that didn't work out fjskldfjskl

also obviously GREY and ARA, still gotta work out most personality and backstory stuff for him, but grey would follow ara to the ends of the earth <3

i feel like GAYA and GA-RAM could probably have a connection of some sort too since most likely gaya would have heard of ga-ram's father AND probably about yo-han as well...maybe they were acquaintances since they're technically in the same field.

also i remember!! seeing a plot you once posted with the other muse killing someone and MARA being there to help them through it....what if that muse was ANNIE :3 ( although she might end up going to ARA instead though 🤔🤔🤔 ). this could also be NELL since she wouldn't want to tell myungdae or alfred about this :/ nell could also help mara with mask girl things since that does take place...over the net too!!

on a lighter note though, perhaps MARA could be acquaintances with SUKI since suki does drop by the gangnam police station often to visit her friend there...i think they could get along and also suki is....a fan of vigilantes so she would probably following the activities of mask girl bc she can 🤩🤩🤩

also if MARA is looking for more...illegal information, perhaps ALFRED could be a source of information. i have a thought about him opening up shop in seoul with a coffeehouse as cover for dealing with the exchange of information (it also acts as a community center in the neighborhood tho <3)

eventually i will get to writing a more formal backstory for this verse, but for now, take these bulletpoints regarding aeri's modern verse instead :DD

a model turned designer!! she does still do modelling gigs on occasion because she's gotta get out of the house somehow- there are only so many hours in a row she can spend alone in the atelier fjksdlfj but nowadays as she knows her modeling career won't last forever, she's currently making the jump over to designing

she's always been designer at heart though- she's been sketching her ideas for clothes since she was a teenager. while she could have technically worked exclusively as a designer, going through schooling that way, she chose to be a model in order to get practical experience ( and to get away from her family )

honestly? aeri low key hates them all, if she could have it her way, she'd stick to her long time fiancee devora song ( @devangelis - also written by lynnie, <3 <3 <3), her bestie ji hyun ( @mythvoiced - LENLEN ILY ), ...and also kang gaya ( @geaesaekki- guess who?? it's lynnie!! :D ), her cousin and the only tolerable person in her family

unfortunately, being a kang comes with responsibilities and she's rather used to the luxurious life she's living so she has to go to the family dinners and galas

BACK TO THE PAST THOUGH, modeling for aeri was not only her way of rebelling against her mom's expectations, but it was also her means of escape. finding a way to step outside of her perfect siblings' shadows. modeling is not just a job, it's a lifestyle

so if the public thought she was just a spoiled kang brat, at the least the fashion world did not. even if it infuriated her, being considered just another face in the long line at first, she put her head down and worked her way up.
