I would like you to info dump about the kirby gijinkas 👀
AVA I LOVE YOU UM UM SO!!!
Tumblr media
kirby:just kid stuff like rain boots, hair accessories n overalls, they also have two designs-one for older games n one for newer games!! n a scrapped off old one cuz it looked too fancy </3 also the bag is angel themed bc i thought thatd just look cute ngl
Tumblr media
bandana dee:as i said on another post i got inspired by smash dedede having a shirt that rly looks like the beginning of a yukata or a kimono!! also he doesnt have a mouth, design on the right was an early concept lol (by "isn't allowed" on the sheet i mean im not sure if having it over the haori could straight be an insulting mistake or if its just something most people would not think of doing bc why would you) i bullshitted an eye design but my best friend rly liked them so i never changed them lol
Tumblr media
marx: i literally finished his final design yesterday.even tho nothing changed i just gave him elf ears bc he looks silly w them lol.anyways its just a jester design tbh? since his hat has two differing patterns i thought itd be neat to add both the sun and the moon from his little villain plan to his outfit (i miss his fluffy hat balls a little though </3) also he has no arms tho his wings can work as them sometimes.bc im a firm believer in always having characters who lack limbs in their original design either not have them or have a fun replacement
Tumblr media
elfilin:theyre themed around a more cutesy aesthetic for angels n space! contrasting forgo and elfilis more dark theme of those, also w an inspiration of retro futurism! and yes their outfit is completely stupid and overly complicated thats part of the charm <3 theyre like a scene kid to me.also a little star bc all of kirbys friends get one.fun fact they had 4 beta designs bc nothing looked good
Tumblr media
fecto forgo:(sorry for bad pic i need to redo its entire reference sheet) just an hospital gown w medical tomes that werent removed from them (my best friend gave me that idea n what to add lol), i think theyre best described as a blob of weird elfilis slime that can take a humanesque form rather than a human form that can blob, theyre constantly melting n all its veins are visible, theyre v cold to touch n in the tube their body flows in a way that gives them cherub imagery similar to what was intended w canon forgo, also its legs are useless, theyre very weak and unstable and not naturally formed (also since i picture the elfilis split as some uh.physical form?? of disassociative trauma random trivia when they front post game elfilins eyes get replaced w theirs, just for the aesthetic)(credits to my bestie for coming up w that interpretation lol)
Tumblr media
shadow kirby:they get two designs like kirby, both inspired off theirs but just like.emo lol.dont ask why their hair started doing that its whatever reason they became purple in canon.they have overalls beneath that coat btw
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and miscellaneous designs i havent given a final sheet to yet!! taranza and dark taranza r based off more fantasy victorian (? medieval???) clothing, susie is holographic bc i didnt want to give her gray shading n her limbs r all floaty (i imagine shes always making some weird electric noise due to that), gooey is just like cute tbh? their cape is based off their mock matter form, chuchus hair is based off the shape the octopus species she apparently is has, i dont have any notable commentary for drawcia or claycia (was that her name) other than drawcia is like a paint blob.also claycias supposed to be way chubbier but i underestimated how huge her coat would look.gotta fix that
thats all the ones i have!! GOD it feels good to finally share them lol

SPOOPY ASKS! # 1. 2, 7, 14, 24, and also 31
@venuscrescent Thanks for always being my fellow spookum!!!!
1. Favorite Halloween memory
My memories as a kid are fairly similar and no particular standouts. But one of my favourite Halloweens was a few years ago. I always wanted to be that super cool decorated house when I was little and four years ago, I finally started making it a priority rather than working. So I opened my garage, decorated it like a witch’s house and handed out candy. It was a cool, but not cold, night, the spooks were high, and just the whole vibe of the night was EVERYTHING I wanted. And now I do it every year with a different theme.
2. Any Halloween traditions
A few but I also like to mix it up and experience new spookums. But first, I have to decorate my house. My first day off in October, whichever day it ends up being, I pull out ALL of my decorations, throw on movies or music and spend ALL day decorating.
Not a tradition per se, but all of my human or humanesque decorations have spooky related names. I have a zombie wall crawler whose name is Agatha (after Agatha Christie), a 2D hanging plastic skeleton named Boris (after Boris Karloff), and a lifesize posable skeleton named Vincent (after Vincent Price).
Also, there are a few classics that I NEED to watch to fully embrace the season: Garfield Halloween Special, Hocus Pocus, and this really random TV special from 80s. It was called Disney’s Halloween Treat. It was totally cheesy and literally just a mash up of villain and/or spooky scenes and it was cut with a talking jack o lantern narrator. The special itself is fun but the BEST part is the opening song. Just check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym6vpqqyt20
7. Top 3 horror movies
This is an excellent question because I really only got into full horror movies in the last few years and try to save them for the spooky season for the first time I watch them. I know what you’re probably saying. But you love spooks, how did you never get into horror movies? Well, one, I didn’t have anyone to watch them with. Two, I was interested in scary movies in my early teens but my mom wouldn’t rent them for me because she didn’t want me getting scared at night and waking her up. So for the movies that I have seen, here you go!
1. The Others. More suspense than horror but I LOVE it.
2. The Haunting of Hill House. Yeah, it’s a TV series but it’s too damn good to not be mentioned, even if the question didn’t specify it.
3. Oculus. I love things that play with our perception of reality
4. Hush. Only discovered this one recently and it is GREAT!
5. Literally any Vincent Price movie.
Yes, I realize this is more than three. But I don’t care. There are too many good spooky things!
14. Favorite part about Halloween
Everything! I love the way the season embraces the strange and unusual. And there is a huge slider of things you can love. You can love the adorable cuteness of things that aren’t ordinarily cute, or you can be into the super macabre and we’re all loving the same thing. I love the brisk nights, the changing of the leaves, pumpkin flavoured everything. There’s literally nothing bad about Halloween.
24. Kit Kats or aero bars
Kit Kats. I like treats that have more texture than just straight chocolate.
24. Worst Halloween movie you’ve seen
So this list had two number 24s so I am just going to answer both. None. There are no bad Halloween movies. Even the movies that are objectively bad are still great! Because they embrace something wonderful about the season. Or they’re aware of how ridiculous they are and they just have fun. A good example of this is an old TV movie special called Mr Boogedy. It is objectively the stupidest thing I have ever seen. But it’s so ridiculous that I love it. Hint, it’s on Disney+ and it’s not very long.
31. Favorite soundtrack
I don’t think I have one particular soundtrack. My favourite Halloween songs are kind of a mishmash. If I had to choose a soundtrack, it would be either Hocus Pocus or anything by Midnight Syndicate.  And just because I can, here are some of my fave Halloween songs that you might not know.
1. The opening from Ernest Scared Stupid. It is fun, it’s spooky. It is literally the definition of spoopy. It’s perfect.
2. As listed above, the opening for Disney’s Halloween Treat.
3. The Headless Horseman song from Disney’s animated Sleepy Hollow. It’s just so fun and scary. It’s also perfect.
Thanks so much for the asks honey. Only 22 more days until the spooky celebrations can begin.

“We Are Alive”
Science fiction works are often placed in a future so far off from our own they seem impossible. It is hard to imagine our world in such a distressing situation to bring on such situations as those seen in “1984” or so far into the future for “Planet of the Apes” to even be slightly fathomable. Science fiction has often dealt with images that are so grandiose we can easily separate it from our lives today. However the 2018 video game “Detroit: Become Human” focuses itself in the ever topical city of Detroit in 2038.
The not so far future does not look too far fetched on the surface. In one of the opening shots we see Detroit in a similar state that it is currently; there is a bustling city that is building more skyscrapers while the suburban areas look rundown and borderline inhabitable (Teaser). This is nothing extraordinary, except for the fact that in this Detroit is the center hub for Cyberlife- the company that distributes humanoid androids.
The creator of these androids says “the hardest thing was to design an object that we would want to welcome into our homes. We had to imagine a machine in our own image, that resembles us in every way. That moves, breathes, blinks like us.” with the only obvious difference between a human and an android being the glowing circle on their right temple (Kamski). This aesthetic choice makes truly believing the androids are just machines difficult, because they seem so human, and this idea is played with several times throughout the game.
The first glimpse we get at the affects of humanoid androids on how humans interact comes from a scene where you can watch a man on his morning jog. He is being followed by his android companion when he stops for a break, throwing his water bottle at the android and rudely demanding stats on his progress after which he resume his run and almost knocks over a woman with no sympathies. Because it is hard to distinguish the humans from the androids some people's reactions are to just treat them all with little to no respect at all. Yet some, because of their compassion towards humans treat the androids with respect. Which is seen through one of the playable characters early game play. Markus, a household nurse android, cares for an elderly man who treats Markus like a son. He is allowed to wander the house freely, occupy his free time how he sees fit, and is encouraged to think outside of his programming. Because of this, when circumstances lead to Markus’ deviation and subsequent android rebellion leader, it is easy to see why he believes androids should not be put into the position of slavery. By making the androids look, act, and feel human “the stakes of the question of who gets to be human very clear” (Cardenas).
“The concept of the human has historically been used to delineate who is less than human, who is disposable, who is killable. Black people, women, trans people, queers, witches, and indigenous people have all been defined as less than human at different times by different regimes of knowledge.” and it is no different in Detroit (Cardenas). These androids begin to deviate or, in other terms, become human when they are pushed to extremes. Several times we see them pushed to deviation in a situation where a human would retaliate to save themselves, and that is exactly what the androids are doing. For Markus it comes at a point where his owner’s son is threatening violence against Markus while the owner begins to have heart failure. We watch as he is taken out of the situation and brought to a wall in his code that states “do not fight back” a direct order from his owner. Markus’ outlined body, his coded soul, beats against this wall until it shatters allowing him to push the son away. The breaking of the code wall giving us the first glimpse of what it means for these androids to become human.
For the android Connor we see his development into a human a little differently. His programing is the newest and most developed, causing the choices you make to bring on little development compared to the other two. However his model, being a detective android that is supposed to aid cops in finding devient and dangerous androids, runs the risk of dying in several scenarios. The first one being in the first chapter you see him in; a hostage case where one of the outcomes is Connors death as he sacrifices himself by pushing both the violent android and himself off the roof of a building. His mission is complete and he is pleased by this, but a future chapter shows him shy away from the edge of another roof as he investigates a new deviant case. If, by some unfortunate circumstances, you end up making specific choices in another chapter Connor can witness, both physically and psychologically, the death of another android which gives you the chapter ending “Connor is traumatized” (Connor is Traumatized). This comes up again when you have a very deep conversation with Connor’s human partner Hank. Hank drunkenly toys with Connor, asking if he feels or thinks for himself, asking if he is alive. Hank pulls his gun on Connor and directly asks him “Are you afraid to die Connor?”. If the previously mentioned scenes take place an option of dialogue is Connor admitting he is afraid of the nothing that would come from his death, the nothing that would happen if his task was not completed (Connor is Afraid to Die). None of these thoughts or emotions are programmed, it would be pointless to do so, which means that every experience Connor has leads him to evolve into something. These choices make him human, others make him a machine, some even end with him being scraped as a defective model. As you play you are not just experiencing a story but witnessing the development of something much more than a simple machine.
Another instance we see where an android has essentially become human by having fear, desiring to “live”, and a human showing, essentially a fellow human made out of a machine, compassion comes from a clip that would eventually become the basis of “Detroit: Become Human”. In the clip an android, Kara, is being assembled. The technician is having her run diagnostic tests to check that everything is functional. She begins to question the technician about what will happen to her, a very humanesque thing to do that androids should not be able to do, and is saddened to hear that she is a piece of merchandise. To the technician’s horror she sadly comments that she thought she was alive, making the technician begin the dismantle process. Kara panics, begging and pleading with the technician as each one of her plates and appendages is removes- screaming out “I am scared! I want to live, I’m begging you.” which stops the technician. He allows her to be rebuilt, sending her out to be sold off because the thought of hurting a creature that can feel fear is quite difficult, machine or not (Kara).
This is quite interesting because one of the main arguments against the creation of artificial intelligence and androids today revolve around the idea of whether or not humans could function in a society where thoughts, feelings, and emotions are partially nonexistent. The idea of a human creating an artificial intelligence that feels, thinks, and acts freely is almost impossible because we still do not understand what makes us cable of that. Many chalk it up to be the idea that humans possess souls, an inanimate undetectable thing, that give us these abilities. This is another thing the game touches on with the clip of one of the androids, Chole, doing an interview with the news. She is the first android to ever pass the Turing test and when asked how she is able to do that her response is “I only exist because of the intelligence of the humans who designed me. And you know they have something I could never have. A Soul.” (Chloe). The idea that the only way for a creature or machine or existence to be worth anything at all is the need for a soul is quite ridiculous. To obtain and prove a creature has one is impossible and leaves out the possibilities of future advances and interactions. What really defines a human is their ability to feel. To feel love, fear, sorrow, anguish, desire, exeter is to be human; to be considered more than just merchandise or labor.
As you play through the game there are many examples of choices you can take that forces the androids to make decisions either based on rational behavior or irrational feelings. For Markus it is the choice between making humans see androids as equals via violence or peace. For Kara it is the choice between loving the little girl as a daughter or to serve as a slave. And for Connor it is the choice between sticking to his mission to hunt down deviant androids no matter the cost or fear the death that would come from a failed mission. The choices you make shape these characters, helps them choose their path, and develops them into either machines or humans.
To become a human is to feel emotions, a wide range of them too. To feel happiness and sorrow, excitement and dismay, fear and courage all these make us human. To have them, develop them, experience them is what defines our every moment. We allow our own children born out of flesh to curate them, why would it be so far fetched to permit those we bare out of machines the same?

Healing | hisevolution
“Uncle Peter, it’s Laura. Look, I know you’re probably still recovering and all, but I’m really worried. He’s not even answering my calls anymore. I have no idea how to track him down. You know him better than anyone; all his little codes and names. Find him. Let me know he’s okay? I can’t leave New York right now.”
It was a voicemail Peter Hale couldn’t exactly ignore. Because his beloved niece was right; he knew the man in question better than anyone in the family ever had, but even he hadn’t heard from his nephew in a while. So he was prepared to find anything when he went to find his nephew. Despite still healing from his sixty-fourth skin graft, he was willing to go find the younger man. So he had packed most of his things (which wasn’t a whole lot; the only reason he even had clothes was because the nurses in the burn unit had purchased them - lightweight clothing was surprisingly easy on healing skin) and headed from Sacramento to the mountainous area just out of his hometown of Beacon Hills.
The mountains frame the Eastern side of the town limits like a carefully nestled arm cradling a baby’s head; and a fairly large portion of it was Hale property. Including the little cabin about six miles off the main path. Most didn’t notice it, but Peter found it with ease, driving slowly along the terrain and parking in the large gravel-strewn section that was a kind of parking area. He opened his door and got out, leaning against it for a moment. The chimney was smoking lightly; a fire big enough for just the living room, more than likely. He sighed, moving to close his door and walk up the stairs to the porch, a cane in hand to help balance him because sometimes the pain that would come from his skin healing made him dizzy and he’d lose balance. He walked to the front screen, arching a brow when he found it locked. That was something strange; the wood frame door’s little swinging latch had never been locked before.
"Derek?" He called out, knocking on the screen. "Derek, it's your uncle. Cone let me inside, please."
