i feel so awful for mo cause egypt have a solid team but he is THE guy and he cannot catch a break when he’s w the nt. egypt qualify for the wc for the first time in almost 30 years? mo gets judo flipped in the cl final and barely makes it back it to the wc and plays half injured. egypt make the afcon final? lose on penalties (to your teammate no less) and then lose to the same team on pens a few months later and miss the wc. i hope mo keeps playing w the nt, cause africa has more qualifying spots (finally) for the 2026 wc and he deserves to play in a world cup

I hold the Euro 2020 squad near and dear to my heart, but it’s time to move on.

Mancini talks a lot about young players and young players not getting enough play time and how we have so much young talent that we should use, but when given the opportunity to do just that, he doesn’t take it? Why are most of our good players we could be using in the national squad in the U21s? Why are we still relying on older players that won’t even make it to 2026 IF we manage to even qualify for the WC?

I appreciate Mancini for everything he did to get us to victory in 2020, but this has gotta be the last straw. If he fails to qualify us for the Euros, there’s no way he won’t be getting sacked. And if FIGC continue to keep him on, you might as well just throw the entire sport out of the country.
