actually insane you have to post daily, if not multiple times, on platforms like twitter and instagram, to even be in the vicinity of being seen by people who follow you, let alone brand new audience lol this is why tumblr is still king, people will not like or reblog your stuff simply because they don’t give a shit

#and now for the non memey-part of the post: i've seen many artists lately on twitter #who have not been able to upload constantly and return to a 18k+ following #and have their posts get maybe 1 like because THEY'RE NOT BEING PUT ON PEOPLE'S TIMELINES #i'll burn your algorithms to the ground and build them back up with the tried and true tumblr noodle code #the tag system might not be working here on the best of days but it's not because of the algorithm #why are social media platforms so obsessed with making artists suffer #this is genuinely so upsetting for freelancers #even if you just wanna vibe as a hobbyist or as someone who simply wants to follow artists #you'll either not be seen or not see the people you follow #STOP THAT ! #GET SOME HELP !
