#why are the female attendings including the Muslim ones always SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mean #meanwhile the male attendings Muslim or not are always going above and beyond to be nice and kind #it’s actually crazy to me #like the male attendings are always buying me coffee or telling me I can skip didactics #meanwhile the only thing I get from the female attendings is a headache #and don’t forget the scolding for things I didn’t do #smh #you’d think they’d be proud to see a sister in medicine but nopeee #its so insane to me that it was my female MUSLIM attendings that would tell me to take off my hijab in the OR while the male NONMUSLIM #attendings told me “your hijab and religious values are never an issue’’ #sorry #rant #it’s been a long day 😅 #also clarification- I do not ask nor request the coffee but my point is the male attendings will really try to make my day easier meanwhile #the women just seem to want to make it worse lol #the male attendings also give so much more praise and acknowledgement for your work whereas the women just yell at you about patients who #aren’t even yours #ooof
