Pine Lake Farewell: Wrightley & Dosser
Guy outlived every other original settler, including the second batch of younger arrivals. He lived long enough to hold his first grandson (Frank’s) and to persuade Kiera to allow him to host a slumber party for his granddaughters. When he finally died, most of his fortune was left to Frank, but a large amount was put in trust for Kiera’s kids. Almeric took over the businesses for his LTW, and immediately regretted it when he found out how much work they all are.

Zelda and Sam downsized to a much more practical lot and built a comfortable family home for their adopted children and wolf pack. Thanks to a generous donation from Uncle Guy, they purchased a vacation home in Three Lakes and visit Sam’s old stomping grounds at least twice a year.

Zelda flourished in the Science career, despite vocal opposition from a long-time rival, and was forefront in the Telescope Project, which is still considered instrumental to the Alien Act, shaping relations between our two planets today.
While his wife focused on astronomy, Sam took over running the toy shop, which was never considered a booming business, but did well for a hobby project.

I think the next household I played was Wrightley/Dosser, where Cobweb was still the boss, Zelda was rocking her new career, and Sam was still nicking stuff from work. Oh, and they hired a maid, who I forgot until now I had turned into Don Lothario, ha ha.

Also, I had taken the time to crop this picture, so might as well use it: the dog's name can throw me for a loop sometimes.

If I were going to play this household again, I'd tell you here that I'm renaming it the Dosser family, as Guy's name is going to die out with him. Not that he's showing any signs of being near death, that is, and will probably live forever anyway because I'm probably not going to ever play this household again. So there you go, Guy. Congratulations on your confirmed immortality. I had long suspected it anyway.

At the end of the round, Zelda purchased herself a science centre, to further proceed up the career ladder. Although her focus is astronomy and alien research, the centre offers a variety of specializations, from biology to horticulture.
I thought it would be fun to allow only Sims with science enthusiasm to come...but apparently I have none. :/ The only one to ever show up was Horton, and all he'd do is scribble a few notes and then leave without giving a review. I left off with the intent to get a few of my nerdy Sims more practised in this hobby...for science!!
Tumblr media
Oh, and I did learn Horton is an absolute wizard at the dance sphere. :)

Guy considers that maybe 3 top-level businesses are enough for him..and then laughs and buys another.
Tumblr media
This is called Odds 'n' Sods or something magical...I don't remember. It's a place for Guy to sell his magical junk. I don't love the unmagical floor edges. :/

He calls up Kimberley Cordial the Atrociously Evil Witch to buy a spare cauldron for the basement and then flirts with her because of course he does.

I like the atmosphere here.

It was a social day at the farm. First the Dossers came over and Faucet was a huge hit. Then Marzipan Lee walked by (all the way from the city, wow!) and was impressed to see what a nice, normal family looks like.

Frank tries to recruit Zelda and Sam to play for his dance club's grand opening as Charlie's backup band. After everysim's gone home, they discuss it before bed which somehow segues into a discussion about if they want kids in the future. Sam can't procreate and Zelda doesn't want to pass on her werewolf curse, so adoption is their best option. But they still have lots of time to decide, and need to get through this wedding first!

The toyshop is a weird-looking lot, honestly. But it's cute inside, and super adorable when the kids come shopping! (Marsha much prefers Sam's professionalism to Zelda's condescension.)

Bonus compilation of Zelda coming by the house. Every. Single. Day.
Maybe it was all the dogs calling her, but more likely Frank hired her to keep an eye on his big bro.

And speaking of the wedding, it's finally time! Just a quiet event in the backyard with family and closest friends for these two. And of course, any party at Guy's place eventually must become a pool party.
(Also, it seems I was wrong about my play order, and actually played the Swain round first, hence why Erika is a teen and Natasha has short hair. Ah well...sneak peek!)

The businesses get lots of attention: Plenty more townies are madeover at Wizard Boutique, and—miracle of miracles—Guy finally convinces Gretchen Chin to upgrade her favourite dress! It's still pink...it's just that elusive shade of better-complementing-her-hair pink. :)
And at the Sketchy Shack, William sets up another date with the mysterious former hobby instructor, Valentina.
Oh, and Frances considers a minivan at The Seedless Orange, because sometimes carting your family around in a firetruck isn't practical...even if it is unbelievably cool.

I hear a frenetic slapstick Benny Goodman soundtrack when I look at these shots.
