ZR Autopilot
I ran last weekend but did not have the time to write about it. I wasn't feeling well, maybe a residue of last week's cough. Also, the food I've been having lately has been uninspiring and perhaps that also ruined my mood.
The ZR mission that accompanied the run was quite interesting though: "Autopilot" ZR Season 3 Mission 13. Spoilers after the picture:
Tumblr media
At first, it was kind of strange having Nadia run along with me. I guess she's changed now and I'm supposed to have forgiven her. Whatever. At least she gets along with Sam.
I'm still not sure what it was we were looking for unless we were just scouring the areas indicated on Darren's map. It seems like we were going nowhere and ended up with zombies attacking us.
What is a sheep dip?
I kinda like getting a file every time I do these missions. This time I got Note 22 from the Ministry of Recovery. Very scary that murders, rapes, and other serious crimes are rampant. If it's not the zombies getting you, it's other humans who have lost all self-control.
I hope I get files after every mission now. I really enjoy reading them after the exercise.

Suffering from serious Sam withdrawal this week (and it looks like more next week which is NOT COOL DAMN IT ALL) so I re-listened to A Voice in the Dark and
maybe this was not such a good idea after episode 10 I did not need the extra feelings wow no

ZR Keeper of Secrets
I went out for another run yesterday, though I didn't really get to go far because I went at lunch time and had a meeting in the afternoon. But anyway, at least I got my exercise in. Wanted to run today but this week has been full of meetings and most of them are annoying and unnecessary. You know, stuff that can be e-mailed instead.
Ended up watching the Arsenal vs Man City match on my phone during the meeting. I am completely neutral but I've always been mesmerized by the flowing nature of the game. My dad and I used to watch soccer games at the local stadium a lot. Those were fun days for me as a kid.
I also listened to ZR Season 3 Mission 14 Keeper of Secrets during the run.
Spoilers after the picture below.

WTF!!!!!!! How did Veronica McShell appear out of nowhere?
But first, what is this lab in the middle of the forest and also the Lothlorien setup. I like the change of scenery from ground level, though. I imagined Nadia and R5 having lots of trouble balancing themselves on the swinging walkways.
And then the grey lynx. I hate it when animals are hurt, injured, or sick. Breaks my heart. And the fact that one of them turned into a zombie makes me sad and angry at the same time. The decapitation had to happen though.... to the dismay of Veronica McShell.
Wow, OG Runner 10's daughter!!!!! Accusing us of killing her dad, though? We gotta have a chat about that.

Today I ran 3.10km with a friend.
As assistant coach, I am so sad that the soccer match in NY has been postponed. I need to contact a few other teams in this district and see if they want to compete in a friendly. My guys need the exercise. They hate running and yet love soccer. How does that work?
Anyway, I listened to Zombies Run Season 3 Mission 9 “I don’t want to get over you.”

For goodness’ sake, Simon is back? Come on, Simon. You messed up but you don’t need to mess up even more.
Now he has taken runner 5 as a hostage? I don’t know. Has he joined the Dedlocks? Or is he trying to help in some way?
I kind of forgot that Maxine was missing until Paula and Louise’s conversation. Hope we find her soon.
I am liking this mission. The story is finally going forward and also ended on a cliffhanger.

I went on a 3.2km run today at lunch time and listened to Zombies Run Season 3 Mission 12 “Ready to Start.”
Got sick last week with a nasty cough and of course I couldn’t do any exercise. Probably caught the bug from a classroom activity I was in.
I was helping a musician friend of mine who was teaching an elementary school class about traditional instruments from Asia, and he needed someone to help him do the piano accompaniment on some simple music like twinkle twinkle, do re mi, and the blue Danube.
Easy enough.
Anyway, ZR spoilers after the picture below:

I quite enjoyed this mission. It was really nice to tour New Canton and discover how bureaucratic it is. I also liked the bit with the goats because it reminded me of my grandma’s farm in real life. Used to play with the goats and chickens as a kid.
I’m excited about going on this road trip. Very curious about the dangers ahead and new characters we’ll meet. Should be fun.

I went out for a lunch run yesterday for about 2 miles. Was very pleased about the warmer weather sweeping through DC, but also concerned because it’s January and it’s not supposed to be that warm.
I also listened to Zombies Run Season 3 Mission 11 “Stray Cat Strut.” Very silly song and now it’s stuck in my head.
Spoilers after the picture below:

I am as disappointed as Zoe about the lack of kittens we actually got at the end of the mission. It would have been nice to bring back little fur balls to Abel. Shame on you, Darren.
But then again, we are one step closer to learning about whoever is controlling the zombies and delivering stuff. I am not exactly sure what it is we are ultimately looking for, but it could be pretty important.

Ran 2 miles today along the river. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, and the wind was perfect.
I also listened to Zombies Run Season 3 Mission 10 - The Man Who Sold the World.
Spoilers after the picture:

Simon, oh, Simon. I don't know if I should feel sorry for you or if I should hate you. He is still helping out Abel in his own way, but I still can't 100% trust him. I like his artistic vision with the defensive wall of zombie parts, though. Very creative. He should have been an artist.
Now I also remember that Van Ark experimented on me last season. I'm worried that I'm gonna turn into a zombie or live forever with a limb missing or something weird like that. Thanks for reminding me, Simon.
I hope ZR doesn't turn into an x-men type of story. I'm not sure I like that.
I guess now Abel just needs to figure out what Van Ark's files say about Comansys. On to the next mission.

I went out for a 3.05km run yesterday at lunch time. It was too windy for me and I couldn’t decide whether the jacket should stay on or off. But at least I ran and didn’t slack.
Listened to Zombies Run Season 3 Mission 8 - Believe.
Spoilers after the picture:

The cult members made no sense, but I guess that’s what cults are usually like. We also met a person named Moonchild who makes and trades special “substances.” Louise asking for smack from her made me chuckle.
I really don’t know what to make of this mission. We haven’t received any new information about comansys or anything else. Maybe we’ll find something in the next episode.

Two days ago I went out for a 2.97km run with a friend from work. Don't know why I didn't just go for a nice round number. It was a perfect day - not too cold and not too warm.
I also listened to Zombies Run, Season 3, Mission 7 - Life's a Happy Song.
Spoilers after the picture.
Tumblr media
This mission totally confused me. I didn't know whether Isabel was running along with me or whether she was with Sam in the comms room. Still not sure, to be honest. But maybe more than likely she was running with me and Jamie.
And then she and Jamie kept talking about a children's TV show. It was very distracting. We were supposed to look for a documentary that would shed light on Comansys, but the only thing that stuck in my head was the TV show instead.
Color me surprised about the important info at the end where Jamie is revealed to be the legal king of England. So am I supposed to treat him differently now? I don't know anything about royalty.

I went out for a 2.6k run today. Yes, I am taking it slow because I don’t want to hurt myself while in recovery. And also it had just rained so the ground was pretty slippery.
Listened to Zombies Run S3 Mission 5 “Walk of Life.”
Spoilers after the picture below:

It’s so nice to have a mission where we say goodbye to Sara. I’m gonna miss her. She was a really cool character and didn’t get into petty business. My favorite quote from this mission: “get stuffed, seagull!”
But of course she had to leave behind a mysterious package. Wouldn’t surprise me if it were the vaccine for the zombie virus.
Runner Five has also been made head of runners. Wow what a job. I’m normally not into leadership positions. They are super stressful, at least from my experience in real life. But anyway, the Abel runners trust R5 so let’s go ahead with it and do our best.

It has been a very warm autumn week in DC. Today (11/1) I went out for a 2-mile run after some really depressing back-to-back meetings. Running definitely takes my mind off stressful situations at work.
I listened to Zombies Run Season 3 Mission 1 "Break Your Heart."
Preliminary thoughts and maybe spoilers after the picture below:
Tumblr media
So Tony from the final mission of Season 2 is now near Abel, though I thought he died by gunshot. I guess not. Was he revived as a half-zombie? I have so many questions.
And how did he recognize Abel Runner 5 when he was in London with NC Runner 5? I'm a bit confused but maybe we'll find out what's going on in the next mission.
I'm also very curious about Comansys. Hope we get to learn more about it.

I ran about 2.5 miles today (Nov 16th). Not sure, though because I forgot to turn on my watch. It was a beautiful day in DC, although much colder than last week. I haven't done any running for a week and a half and I feel so bad about it. I had to go to upstate NY for a meeting. It was a rough journey. Driving 8 hours, then the next day 7 hours to NYC, and then the next day a 5-hour drive back to DC. What a mess. I was so tired. Ended up sleeping the entire long weekend.
Anyway, today I listened to the 4th Mission of ZR Season 3, titled "Left to My Own Devices." Spoilers after the picture:
Tumblr media
I am really liking this mission, especially because we got to do a bit of investigating. There wasn't much zombie-chasing so we were able to concentrate on this strange, super-clean Comansys building.
Lots of fun details in between, though, like how things are missing from Abel. The Abel Phantom, could it be something big later?
And then found out that patient zero worked at Comansys. Interesting. Could the company really have started the apocalypse? Really curious to find out more about them.
Really enjoying all the mystery surrounding this story so far.

On Friday, Nov 4th I ran 2 miles with a friend who just started running. She says her cholesterol level has been spiking and her doc is advising her to exercise three times a week. Sounds like good advice. And yeah, maybe we should keep away from lamb kabobs. We’ve had a lot of those lately at the office.
I also listened to Zombies Run Season 3 Mission 2 “The Safety Dance.”
Spoilers after the photo below:
Tumblr media
This Amelia person sounds like she’s gonna be a pain. Like Janine but double the amount.
Maxine is top priority cargo. She must have done something to deserve so much attention. Still don’t understand how she and a lot of other humans are being controlled.
Guess this mystery is something we’ll find out at the end of the season.

I went out running on MLK Jr. day for 3km, just up and down the block, and also listened to Zombies Run S3 M6 “Career Day.”
The soccer team I assistant-coach (sort of) also had a match that day and lost. It was a friendly match but the other team played really rough. One of the guys had his foot stomped on by an opponent. Wear the appropriate shoes when you’re on artificial grass. Come on…. No need for violence.
We are supposed to go to NY for a match with another team, so I don’t want the guys to get injured. It would suck if one of us were absent.
Anyway, spoilers about ZRS3M6 after this photo:
Tumblr media
This mission was so weird with the interview questions and search for a mysterious creature. The square footprints in the beginning should have been a clue it was an excavator and not a giant robot.
Well, on to the next mission, maybe we’ll meet an actual creature next time.

Another Helicopter
I thought my run for ZRS3M3 was already posted here, but maybe it got deleted by mistake. I seriously need to get it together. You'd think the holiday atmosphere would have slowed down work, but not quite. At least not yet.
Anyway, I ran 3.1 miles on November 6th and listened to Mission 3 of ZRS3 titled "Rescue Me."
Spoilers after the picture:
Tumblr media
Paula is now Runner 23? Wow. I missed that in the last mission. Now that she's running, hope she can also give us insight on Comansys.
This Amelia person does not seem to be the most legit commander. She broke the device, left flares in the helicopter, then made such a huge fuss along the way. Wow, she was annoying me so much. I'm pretty much relating to Tony in this situation.
