As a late genx, my school didn't try to teach us how to read the clock. It was expected that our parents would tell us how.
I had to pester my parents and grandparents to tell me how, because I was the type to question how and why. Neither of my other two sisters bothered to question anything. While the middle sister is successful now, she never learned how to read a faced clock until she was like, 13, and only learned because she was gifted an expensive faced watch. I ended up living with my youngest sister in her 20's for awhile, and she was 23 before the mocking of her co-workers and boss at the time got to her and forced her to ask me how to read a faced clock. That's 3 hours of my life I won't get back.

I am, thankfully, discovering that a little mentioned side effect of long term use of my previous migraine medication, was suddenly developing allergy reactions.
Coincidentally, I had that med switched out because of the brain fog it caused about 2 years ago. It seems most of my milder reactions have vanished. You cannot imagine how much I'm praying to whatever that may care, that the shrimp allergy goes away too.
Shoutout to whoever it was who informed me a few weeks ago that some types of Zofran have stevia in them because I got to tell my doctor about it today, and he literally made this face behind his mask because he had no idea, and he is also stevia intolerant:

Boycott them, they use scab workers and they always, always, attempt to starve out their strikers. Every time a contract is up, it takes a strike to get them to try and work on a new contract.

I've seen pictures of this as an armchair version. From what I remember, it was some sort of Italian 1960/1970's trend. There's a more common version called a Joe Chair that looks like a baseball glove. But this style is described as an "Ok hand".
have i ever shown u people my hand sofa

I will absolutely not eat 2, olives & snails(land snails - I will eat sea snails).
However...I should not be eatting another 8 things, at the risk of needing more than just a Benadryl someday, or because of other medication. The utter betrayal of my body deciding to riot against Shrimp is rage inducing.

Same, but I convinced my way to a doctor that approved an Endometrial ablation.
It's a day surgery, and it basically means they go in and scrap up to something like 5mm of flesh off the inside walls of the uterus that's responsible for creating the blood cushion that becomes period blood, and thus, scaring it that can prevent future blood letting. The deeper the depth of the scraping, the higher the chance of never having any sort of blood letting period again. It's especially used for fibroids, polyp's and to treat frequent blood clots and bleeding outside of periods. The only thing they prescribe for you in the after care is basically Aleve and not being alone if you can help if for a few days while you heal up.
They don't like doing it to people under a certain amount of age - because the chances of getting pregnant afterwards is something like less than 5%, but if the only reason for a doctor to not agree to give someone an hysterectomy is because of complications - there's no reason why they shouldn't agree to an ablation.
I haven't had more than an occasional spotting since, it's been about 5 years now - tho I still notice the hormonal parts of the cycles.
my therapist was a bit shook by how much i detest my period, and i was shocked to find out out not everyone does....

Anyone else?---
Anyone else been pavloved by the bell of a rice cooker to the point where you don't need a bell anymore? Or is it just me?
I'm using a new cooker pot that I got off amazon for cheap, and the dumb thing doesn't have a timer/stop function. It just turns on at a different heat level for each setting - and I find a don't need a timer. Turn it on, go back to the computer, and I get some, mental 'notification alert' in my brain that goes 'the rice is done'.
Then I started thinking about it, and even when I use the actual rice cooker, I haven't heard the bell go off in the longest time, because I'm always there to turn it off 1-2 minutes on the countdown.

For some reason, it's even funnier/amazing when you realize that Star Wars now belongs to Disney/Marvel, but yet, his day job, belongs to WB/DC.

Where I live, the downtown is quoted as 'walkable' - yet, outside of when the pedestrian mall is running, the only seats available to sit are for 'paying customers only', or at the steps into buildings.
walkable cities also means sittable cities send tweet

Cupboard space is at a premium, and a bathroom cabinet(if I had one) would be to humid for meds - so I have a drawer for the general stuff, and personal meds are kept on my desk(no kids/roommates).
I keep a chinese tea cup on my desk to remind me to take my pills - it also helps me 'serve' the pills which I realize is touch aversion, and to take the pills, because I can't swallow pills without water.
recently saw ppl discuss whether they put their medicines in a kitchen cabinet or a bathroom cabinet and i was shocked by the fact that many ppl said kitchen cabinet. so now i need you to reblog this and say where you keep yours

Youtube, why???
So, apparently, the "Inline playback" that happens when you put your mouse over a video title, automatically counts that video as part of your watch history.
So if your just scrolling thru your feed and your mouse lands on a video it plays.
Which explains why my rec feed has gotten so weird.
It also counts every Short that your dooming scrolling past, which isn't exactly fair because you have to scroll by them.

Got cut off by a car again while on my bike yesterday.
Good news - Not serious, no damage to my bike this time, did not hit my head.
Bad news - I basically got body checked by an SUV, my shoulder and shoulder blade on that side is stiff AF, and I have a thumbprint size bit of what amounts to road rash on my chin.
Why is this town like this? WTF.
That being said, I’ve done worse to myself twisting my ankles.
The town should really make that exit, right turn only because of the visibility problems. If you have to pull ahead of the cross walk to get visibility of oncoming traffic of a direction - you shouldn’t be turning in that direction.
