So, I love Sarah J. Maas and all of her books. I recently became obsessed with The Court of Thorns and Roses and have read it more times than I would like to admit (5 times…)

While I was brushing my teeth this morning, I started thinking about the Throne of Glass series. In the first book, we see Celaena get into a relationship with Doran and hints of her relationship with Choal. In the next book, we watch their romance happen and fall in love with them as a couple (or at least I did). Then, in the next book, Maas is practically setting that sinking ship on fire, screaming “Abandon ship!” That’s fine, I like Rowan and Aelin together even though I was hesitant at first.

Basically, what I’m trying to get at is what game is Sarah playing with Feyre, Tamlin, and Rhys? Did she use A Court of Thorns and Roses to get us on the Feyre/Tamlin ship only to sink it in The Court of Mist and Fury? Is that what she’s doing, because I don’t know if my heart can take it!

Please someone else weigh in here!!

Is it just me or does the Rhysand x Feyre x Tamlin triangle makes you remember Warner x Juliette x Adam triangle from the Shatter series?

The way Feyre is afraid of herself, the darkness within her (like Juliette). The way Rhysand encourages Feyre to embrace her powers and help her and just generally be the go-to-guy for Feyre and the darling endearment, stop being so smooth (just like Warner). The way Tamlin makes a fool of himself every damn time (Adam can u hear me).

This is very important. This whole dialogue is very important. Because it shows how messed up our society is and how the standards of it intoxicate our thoughts. Here you have Izzy is ashamed of her body and how she didn’t look perfect as Chloe. And then you have Rae who thinks Izzy is perfect. You always think you’re never good enough, you are never pretty enough, you are never skinny enough, you are never enough. But if you could just for a moment to see yourself from the people who loved you eyes, you would understand you are perfect just the way you are and you are worth.

Love this so much. It's hard to take a step back and see yourself as others do. I think every other girl I see is so effortless beautiful. What do they think when they see me? We're all made of tiny little insecurities.
