~ Thomas loves to hug him from behind, rest his head on his shoulder and nuzzle his face into his neck affectionately (especially as Newt was always busy doing something and he loved to catch him off guard). eventually Newt got used to it and continued to do whatever he was doing as if nothing happened, humming little tunes and swaying softly.

~ Thomas is banned from any kind of cooking- hes a danger to not only society but himself whenever he was made to cook (which was once, and he'd nearly set the glade on fire). Newt often took Thomas' cooking shifts while Thomas just sat idly by, rambling about whatever was on his mind and constantly teasing and joking around (which was more of a hinderence than a help to Newt, but he really didn't mind)

~ Thomas, not prying at why Newt was limping, used his limited wood skills and made him a cane to use. After fighting off Newt's protests and embarrassment, he would make new ones with better designs and comfortability with whatever materials he found. He'd also piggy back Newt when he'd get tired from walking (Newt only let him do this when he was incredibly fatigued for his dignity- he was surprised by Thomas' strength, holding onto him firm as if he weighed nothing)

~ Thomas, when hyperfixating on a goal, would often get tunnel vision and neglect taking care of himself, like eating, sleeping and drinking water, and Newt would often force him to take a break, bring him food and give him water, making sure he has plenty of rest. Thomas would try to protest, but at Newt's stern gaze he would immediately comply.

~ Thomas would be the big spoon and Newt the middle spoon

~ Newt would get so frustrated at Thomas' recklessness that one day he nearly broke down and confronted Thomas, telling him that he was going to get himself killed and he can't lose him, so to stop being selfish and use his brain for once. Thomas hugged his flustered and angry form, and Newt sunk into his embrace and began sobbing, to which Thomas promised him he'd try to work on his impulsiveness and tell him about any plans/excursions he was going to do. (Newt would often come alongto make sure he's safe)
