butter and I were like what if we made trading cards for our sims and then we worked together to make this template so we can all pretend we're exchanging cards in the playground.

font we used: bad comic - but will work with mostly any font

change the skill bars with the move tool on the layers named "CHARISMA SKILL" "BODY SKILL" "LOGIC SKILL". just move them left and right!

Layers are colour coded - green you edit, red you dont!

Made with photoshop 2021 but should work on any photoshop/ program that can open .psd files

grab @deathbypufferfish 's brilliant build-a-sim icon pack here for the icons

dont forget to add ur username at the bottom so we know where we got the card from :O!

Little Cottage

The other day I was in such a weird building mood. I really wanted to build but I also was too tired to build. I had big ideas but I knew I wouldn't be able to finish them at my current exhausted state. But also, when I started building something simpler, I hated it too because I wanted to do something better! Well, this is what came out of it, and it's actually not all that bad I'd say.

Major Update to all the Aquatic Plants

These plants will change more during the seasons. These plants now look great indoors. i have added the infant interaction to these. Now these plants have buffs. I edited slots on 3 of these plants, and gave the lotus flowers more color. Last but not least, I have added French translations by OswaNily. I also updated tags on these, and they are compatible with LMS Transfer Inventory mod. If you would like to see some of these changes before hopping into your game, take a look on each plants' individual page through the slideshow. Enjoy!

Your sims photography is So Good! Do you have tips or suggestions for how a beginner should get started? (or like, a basic 101 type guide you can direct to?)

Thank you soo much!! 🫶🏻 Ooh I always have a hard time explaining such things (and I can't remember a guide atm either), but what basics I REALLY suggest are:

Using Reshade

POSE PLAYER POSE PLAYER!!!

The TOOL mod for accurate posing placements

Cranking up your graphics settings to the max

If you use mostly alpha CC, the HQ mod is REAL nice

Using a big screen resolution, or if not possible, SRWE

Creating backgrounds for the photos, and if this process is difficult or too lengthy, then download lots from the gallery.

Plain backgrounds can also look really good!

Taking pics ingame compared to CAS allows for easier and more special angles, especially with the tab key (though CAS pics can also look lovely, but I personally just utilize them rarely)

There's some more things, but I am really tired currently (I should seriously go to sleep...), but I hope this was a bit helpful! If you need tips for something specific, feel free to HMU.

Plant updates! Yay! 💛

Plant updates are in the future for you!

I have finally found a way to make my plants look great indoors instead of the black nightmare that is in the first pic here. This requires me remaking my plants.

I have also been adding more features to how my plants act during the seasons. Plants will now gradually lose leaves or other features during fall, and grow them back in the spring, gradually.

I am also adding buffs. For edible things the buff will be when you eat them, for non edible things the buff is on the plant when you are near it. For the non edible buffs, you will be able to turn them off or on with an interaction on the plant.

These updates are going to take some time to get done.... I have the first set of them ready and will be posting them really soon :)

Overwhelmed Parent Pose Pack 👶

This is very important. Support staff are often treated like this. And after this last patch and Growing Together? It is so much worse.

So if you desperately need them, either play vanilla or just wait.

Hate, Hostility & Harassment

TW: Vulgar language, hate, harassment

I’m a member of the support team on Sims After Dark. I knew that the infant patch would be a doozie–and it was! What I was not prepared for was the sheer level of hate, hostility & harassment that we (support team members) would face.

People seemed to have lost any sense of common decency, humility, respect, or patience. It’s quite embarrassing that we had to release MORE THAN ONE server announcement on how to behave. It has really blown my mind that people were behaving the way they were to people who VOLUNTEER their time to HELP. I am not paid by EA nor am I affiliated with EA–I just really like helping other simmers play their game with mods & cc. There have also been several modders & content creators who have been relentlessly harassed on when they were going to update their mods/cc. WE DO NOT OWE YOU ANYTHING.

Given all of this, Sims After Dark has gone dark until March 21st. Hopefully everyone will take this time to re-evaluate how they speak to people online. I know that I for one will be taking time away and actually getting to play the game for the first time since the new content dropped.

Finally, I’ve attached some of the responses that I personally received IN PUBLIC CHANNELS. I was also personally harassed by a group of people who joined the server just to say stupid shit to me. This does not include responses that other support team members have received nor does it include the sheer volume of people saying things like: “When will x mod be updated?” “Is anyone going to help me?” or spamming the support channels. I hope these pictures help you all fully understand how we’ve been talked to the past couple of days. I’ve also blocked out the names & profile pictures of these people because I’m not a shit head.

Important Notice About Upcoming Sims Patch/Pack

Hi everyone. I hope you are as excited as I am about infants and the other changes coming to the base game, as well as the Growing Together expansion that will be released next week for The Sims 4.

Unfortunately, these changes mean that many mods will break.

I will be in the hospital from March 19 through the 25th for cancer surgery, and will likely be unable to work on my mods for a week or so after that.

As soon as I am able, probably in April, I will work on updating my mods. I will appreciate your patience as I am recovering. 

Please enjoy exploring the new game features and know that I am living vicariously through you until I am able to return.
