And I just realized we never posted our models for the Velkynvelve drow captors, so here they are. (And hey, now we have an actual pointing pose for Ilvara!)

We like giving elves Pathfinder-esque eyes to set them apart from other humanoid races by making them a little creepy! We also think it'd be cool for drow freckles to be white like stars, so we did that.

We wanted to give the drow some sort of unique take on cosmetics, but since we don't know a whole lot about makeup we just bullshitted it. Men and women both wear it. Jorlan is not wearing any because he's ✨given up on life✨

Ilvara is meant to have makeup markings resembling spider eyes near her eyes to reflect her high ranking status under Lolth.

Jorlan and Shoor may share the same stat block, but we wanted them to look distinct; Jorlan is experienced, so his weapons and armor are more worn down. Shoor is new, so his are less battered.

Yesterday we tweaked our designs for the kuo-toa archpriests of Sloobludop. First is Bloppblippodd, archpriest of Leemooggoogoon the Deep Father. Second is her father, Ploopploopeen, archpriesst of Blibdoolpoolp the Sea Mother.

Their redesigns are inspired by lancetfish! We started with Bloppblippodd since we felt inspired to have her resemble this fish, then applied similar changes to her father so they would resemble each other.

Old designs under the cut for anyone curious, the redesigns aren't hugely different.

The skulls on Bloppblippodd's staff aren't quite as visible in the remake's camera angle, because we wanted to show off her cool headfin.

HATE my official design so I made a better one in Hero Forge with goat-like features. The exterminator outfit isn't super different since I like the official design for that, just hate how I looked under the mask in the show.

Pretty obvious in its execution but I was heavily inspired by @cholvoq's redesign because I really liked it. Mostly just wanted a pfp with my goat features that I remember having so that's why I made the model.

Jimjar- Deep gnome with a gambling problem

I rolled items for the NPCs, Jimjar ended up starting with the metal bar club.

Ront- Orc bully

Sarith Kzekarit- Drow accused of murder

Sarith here has multiple models that show the progression of the spore infection, (hey, I did say there'd be spoilers!) ending in a model of him as a spore servant. You'll also notice my stylization of elves... I like how pathfinder gives them funky eyes, and I stole it to make D&D elves look cooler.

Ideally, I'll switch out the tokens between chapters/sessions and pretend nothing has changed until the later stages where it's very obvious something is wrong with him.

Shuushar the Awakened- Kuo-toa hermit and mystic

Shuushar has a weapon, but he doesn't use it for combat. It's more of a utility tool for him.

Stool- Myconid sprout

I made it a lot different from its art so that it has hands to hold items with. Stool is the only one who didn't receive a new model after the face customizer dropped, because, well... it wouldn't have benefitted much.

Topsy and Turvy- Deep gnome wererat twins

I love face customizer because I can give them slightly rat-like features without making it too obvious.

Also, Turvy's starting item was the flint dagger.

Honestly, I forgot to make wererat models for these two until making this post. The rodent head wasn't in the face customizer when it first released, so I figured I'd do it later... and then I forgot! So I whipped some up real quick. I tried to go for that look of animal eyes gleaming in the darkness.

Remade our Themberchaud model :) the chunky boye, the big lad. He looks so much more regal now! I love him. This is my first time making a dragon like this so hopefully he is chonky enough.

The movie did him dirty, but I like his colors in that movie so I used that as inspiration.

We used this post as a reference for our new model.

Bonus under the cut: a very old and very horrible looking model of Themberchaud from two years ago. Horrid.

Hey, this is a sideblog for @the-aviary-system! We like making Hero Forge models for our D&D game but don't want it to take over our main Tumblr, so we're putting it here!

We've been using Hero Forge for literal years so many of our posts may be revamps of old models.

We're prepping to run Out of the Abyss, so expect a lot of models from that game. Filter the tag if you don't wanna see possible NPC spoilers for that module!

We are fine with people using our models, either in their own games or as references for their own models, as long as credit is given :) We like to do lower quality tokens to save space on Roll20 but will happily provide a higher quality one if asked.

We probably won't do signoffs to posts unless we feel like it because it's less important than on our main blog.
