Interviewer: "You say one of the pokemon you train the most expensively with is your Lucario, right?"

Nate: "Oh yea, for sure! I'd say he's the ace of my team after all."

Interviewer: "Do you have any tips for other trainers who have a lucario of their own?"

Nate:

"Sure! Well, I'd say first off if ya're trainin with a lucario then either you evolved it from a Riolu or that Lucario was attracted to ya aura for one reason or another. It's pretty damn rare a trainer catches a Lucario off guard in the wild for a surprise catch. Either way, you gotta keep up that friendship. Lucario evolve with high friendship, if ya aren't a buddy with one then ya won't have a good chance of ensuring that ya buddy will become healthy and strong."

"Train with them often, and when I mean with them I mean with them. They're fightin types after all, so they respond well when you're right in the thick of things with them! Just know your limits and respect them; don't go overboard while trainin yourself."

"Secondly, and this is kinda tough since not everyone is aura sensitive, but really focus on the aura training. Lucario are naturally adept at it and know how to manipulate aura. I mean, that's what Aura Sphere is, right? Still, newly evolved and untrained lucario will still need to hone their skills."

"Don't just focus on improving Aura Sphere either. Help ya buddy use Aura to change it into different shapes; that will help Lucario better learn Bone Rush in the future. Give Lucario some tough challenges that force him or her to use Aura to enhance their bodies and keep up their endurance. Focus on improving Force Palm too to be more potent and controlled."

Interviewer: "Wow, there seems to be a lot of things to keep in mind."

Nate: "I mean it ain't easy, but it's sure is rewarding. Though, I'm really touchin on one half of the equation. The other part is improving Sensin."

Interviewer: "Sensing?"

Nate: "Yea! It's a bit like how psychic pokemon can sense others, but with Lucario it's aura. It's how Lucario use Detect, and also is the reason why Aura Sphere can't miss. I know we're a bit short on time now, but I'd say use games like hide and seek and dodgeball to help train this in real time. Oh, and I guess some of the old books on Lucario say meditation works too, though I'm not really the best at it. Though it still does help."

“Man, It’s good to be back in Unova.” Nate lets out a sigh of relief, ignoring the fact that he has a flight to hoenn the next day. It had been a while since he was called to go undercover for something longer than a few days, and to infiltrate a wealthy business in Galar nonetheless. Rumors had it that the CEO had some connections to poachers who were disrupting the Wild Area, but the connection was shaky at best. 

To his superiors, it was probably a way to get Nate to waste his time, but of course Nate managed to get results. Surprisingly, the CEO was innocent, but a few members of the board were guilty of money laundering and using that money to help fund the poachers. 

Heck, he even managed to find some clues for his cold case on the side, though he doubted they would amount to much...

Feeling a bit of nostalgia, Nate let himself into his mom’s home, sauntering his way over to his room in the hopes of planting face first into his bed and getting some nice rest. He practically managed to do that too, only to be wacked on the head by a familiar tail.

“Oh.... didn’t see ya there bud.” He turns his head, only to see a rather upset-looking cinccino staring back at him. “Look, It’s been a long day. I know I probably just messed up the sheets, but I need some shuteye...” Nope, he isn’t budging. “What, was it cause I didn’t announce I was home?” Nope.... still not budging.

Wait... he was supposed to bring home some souvenirs to him, wasn’t he? “Shit.... sorry, it’s been busy, so I don’t have anythin to give ya...” The little cleaning rodent, upon hearing his words, just lets out a sigh and leaves again. This was not the fist time Nate forgot to bring something back from his travels. Still, just before he was about to exit nate’s room, Nate calls out from the bed.

“Wait! Uhh.... how about I make it up to ya this time. I know you’ve been workin hard helpin mom out, but... what if I give ya a little vacation?”

“Ciin....?” Vacation? When was the last time he had a vacation? The little guy couldn’t remember, but the offer piqued his interest nonetheless. Cinccino closed the door behind him and sauntered over to Nate’s bed, climbing back up to hear his offer.

What Nate had in mind was a lot more than just a lil vactation, though....

“Honestly, sometimes I think I’ve seen way too many terrible things already in my life.” Granted, he signed up for this, but he wasn’t gonna talk about that fact. “I’d say the worst I’ve seen are what poachers do, though. The thing is, not every poacher straight up kills a pokemon to harvest the parts they think sell well. A some of them are left alive to be sold to some farm or somethin that harvests their parts that regrow back. Slowpoke tails are the easiest and least harmful examples of this, since they don’t really realize that their tails are gone when they’re chopped off. Even then, their tails are known to grow back crooked, especially if they aren’t cut off right.”

“Some of the most popular ones are pokemon with horns. Ornaments, folk medicine, you name it, ya can probably find some reason someone wants a horn from a pokemon. It’s already a tossup on whether or not a pokemon species can grow back it’s horn, but for some poaches that doesn’t matter. They’ll just kill the damn pokemon anyways, statin that they’d be just as dead anyways in the wild if they were released. Fuck, I’ve seen a few times poachers grab pokemon eggs and crack them open just to try and get some fuckin extra parts to sell.”
