when is comes to asexuality and aromanticism you have to be okay with contradiction. one ace person will say asexuality is about not experiencing attraction, another will say it’s about not caring to act on attraction, another will say it’s not experiencing arousal. one aromantic will consider themself queer, one won’t. two people with seemingly identical experiences will use two different labels. aro people will be in romantic relationships, ace people will have sex. you get it.

forgot this experience but its hit me again. Told some of the kids in my new class at school my pronouns for obvious reasons and they were pretty chill about it. Especially one of the kids who’s rlly chill since he has the same pronouns as me hehe twinning :]

but then he wasn’t at school and his friends (i think his friends?) immediately ran up to me and babied me for the entire day. like. patting me on the head and going ‘aw you know they’re so sweet’ ok thank you but please don’t. like. i don’t know you. also i said i was ace and everytime someone said anything related to sex they were like ‘oh no laurie can’t handle that’ CAN YOU NOT.
