LONDON VIP MEETINGS REPO

Sorry i know I should have done it earlier but it's my first time in London, I'm rly overwhelmed!

London is no doubt a brilliant city, I really thank them for giving me a motivation to visit it(god knows how much i hate long flight

There are so many pics and videos of the shows, so I will only focus on the VIP meetings.

To be honest, the meetings were much simpler than I thought. I actually ecpected it to be at least a few minute long with some perhaps basic conversations with each member, but no, it was super quick, just taking over the signed postcards and maybe just a word or so to one of them? the whole process was no more than 1minute i feel.

I was like super nervous on Day1. I prepared some small gifts for both Kyo and Kaoru(let's see if they will post it later on lol) my friends told me there would be staff standing nearby and i could give the gifts to her.  But I rly had no idea how eactly... and the merchants! Will I have time to buy merchants?  Or where should I stand?  Anyway,  it was a mess.  After several hours waiting,  I was exhausted  and so, so, so anxious.

Vips were allowed to enter at 6pm,  I saw the booth of merchants first(right after the entrance) but the queue moved fast, so I didn't have anytime to buy or even think.  All of a sudden,  I was already at the end of the hallway and saw the blonde hair of Die and Shinya.

Shinya was even more nervous than me,  he dropped the cards first,  fumbled around and clumsily picked them and handed it to me lol

Die was pretty chill,  I didn't rly look at them but just bowed,  and then,  Kyo. 

Kyo was at my height,  so it was quite easy to watch him.  For both days,  I felt something strange was growing when i looked at him but I couldn't figure out why and what,  I just stared at him for a few seconds and moved to kaoru.

Kaoru was the only one without sunglasses both days,  so you could see his eyes clearly.  He wore a baseball cap and dark blue jacket,   looked so strange and familiar at the same time. Instantly i realized that he posted this outfit before on TheTheDay, perhaps that's why it was not new to me at all. 

I quickly took over the card but didn't rly leave,  my brain went blank a little.  The courage was out of nowhere,  I bowed to him and kind yelled out(still,  not so loud) “薫さん大好き”

then I straightened up and looked at him in the eyes.  he was so close,  I could still see his eyes when I'm writing this. 

I bet I scared both him and Toshiya a little bit,  bc toshiya dropped the cards as well lol.  I was so panicked,  so I didnt look at toshiya,  just ran away with my shaky legs.

Omg it was so embarrassing, I decided to look smarter the other day.

Day2 was another day of long waiting and queueing outside. The morning was ok but the rest of the day was gloomy and rainy. The order was the same as Day1,  Shinya,  Die, Kyo,  Kaoru, Toshiya,  none of them wore makeup and four of them had sunglasses. 

I felt unreasonably calm when I saw them at the door this time,  so I  had more time to observe them closely this time.

Shinya was rly lovely,  he was skinny and delicate. He had his classic robotic nervous smile on his face and moved kinda cautiously like a little hamster (?).  Die looked basically the same,  and Kyo,  different from his day 1 wearing(which is the one he wore in Paris),   had a Burberry coat on Day2. After receiving the card from Kaoru,  I stayed there again. I felt probably they had already recognized me and were prepared for me to say something.

I tried my best to control my voice and told him this,  which basically means i don't want the freedom of expression to end but wish him the best.

Kaoru must have been shy too,  bc when i looked at him,  he was working hard at forming a smile(as hard as I lol),  I'm not sure if he mumbled thank u or not.

Toshiya was the only one who looked or smiled at ease the whole time,  his sunglasses was translucent so I could  see his eyes,  he was so beautiful. 

Both days were so unforgettable for me.  The shows were also amazing,  especially Day 2. The sound problem was finally fixed and I rly love their looks that day.  It was literally the best Diru show I have experienced.

I'm a very realistic person and my pessimism always reminds me that I can't  be with them all the time. 

but just like what i wrote to kaoru in the letter, it's always so fulfilling to travel and meet your favorite band in different locations and forms.

so, thank you.

And I know today is Toshiya's birthday, happy birthday and see u guys soon.

(btw guess who's the lucky one getting kaoru's bottleeeeeeeeee)

Well, first of all, I have to thank @yridenergyridenergy for selling me the ticket! It was literally the best experience I had throughout the year; I really, really, sincerely appreciate it.

As promised, this is my repo of the gig in Wakayama. To be honest, I’m really a bad recorder as I can only recall the sensation or vibe in general and forget the details every time. Am I the only one?? Anyway, I guess my drawings may not be precise at all and it would be more like a summary of the year.

And this repo will be focusing on Kaoru, Toshiya and Kyo. I’m sorry but I stood on the left in both times.

Kaoru

It’s so strange that I can easily feel my love for him grows with time and what a coincidence! I visited them twice this year and I was right in front of him every time. I always assumed that I would be in front of Toshiya when I checked the hall map in December, but no! It was Kaoru again! It kinda shocked me the time I located my seat and noticed his microphone stand was there, just about 2 meters away.

I think probably it has been known by all of you, the show started with a semi-transparent screen showing some AI-generated footage(sorry, I hate this part). It covered most of the setting but just revealed some shadows. I could only see Kaoru, his side profile, priest-alike gown and silver hair. He looked so focused and indifferent and so good-looking…my hands are still sweating as I recall it now.

That was my first time listening to Rinkaku on-site. I got caught up in emotion when you could easily compare themselves in reality and their sketches in the video. You could see how much they have changed and it also just reminded me a lot of moments, staying at home and staring them on the screen. The real vs the virtual.

Also, at the beginning from the distance, I could only see some sort of marks on his chin that looked pretty much like piercings? It turned out to be his makeup; so brilliant.

Kyo

I didn’t see Kyo that much this time, but I feel he is that kind of vocal that you would fall in love with once you’ve actually seen him in the venue. He looked so nostalgic to me this time, maybe bc of the ghost face makeup or the fact that I have seen him too much this year. I also went to HK for sukekiyo this year.

The gig of sukekiyo was more emotional, floating and spacey (and less aggressive, obviously). Kyo’s dedication was so contagious. Although he looked a little bit nervous at the beginning of the Day1, forgetting the lyrics now and then lol.

It is interesting to see the similarities and differences between Diru and Sukekiyo, like looking at different reflections of the same mirror.  

Btw probably he is the most inspiring Diru member to me I guess. Idk why drawing kyo always begins with a pretty satisfying draft then it becomes a big challenge to my expertise and patience ahhhh. But yeah, I can improve a lot after finishing it. So, kyo, thx? lol

Toshiya

I’m not quite a fan of his white outfit that day(the one worn in the pic of their tweet on 16th Dec). Actually I even failed to recognize him the first, waistcoat and palazzo trouser are ok but definitely not the most stunning look of him. It seems that his style is becoming more gender-neutral this year, with hair dyed brown, pearl jewelries and feminine makeup.

But I still quite enjoyed his performance, his body language was so beautiful (ugh! It’s such a shame that I can’t recreate it)and he was the first one going to the left terrace and saying hi to everyone. Toshiya is always the sweetest person in Diru to me.

I prefer his encore look more and he took off the shirt and threw it to the gift right in front of him

That’s it! I could have drawn more but, sorry I’m a perfectionist, these pics really took me some time, but I may keep going if I have spare time.

And I’m not used to talking so much on the Internet, it is embarrassing somehow.  

The year of 2023 has treated me rly good, I hope it would be the same for all of you and Diru members, see you next year.

so...long time no draw lol

when i was doing this for my friend, i thought of drawing die's outfit on 3rd June, Nagoya(bc thank god i was there! i finally made a visit to their concert! lucky me) but i enjoyed it so much that now i can vaguely remember that he wore a white suit or anything, my brian literally blanked out lol

so i didnt rly put much detail on it

this year is a year of 'no inspiration' for me, i only drew very occasionally, let's see if the concert can help

btw it is rly hard to capture his facial structure, literally everytime i will be like ‘omg this angle is so hard to draw how can u look pretty this way’ while drawing
