Does anyoone else feel like the supposed casting for the Selection Netflix movie is a disgrace? Like, I've seen Yael Grobglas in Jane the Virgin and Reign and she's a great actress, but she's thirty-six. America Singer is seventeen. Micheal Malarkey, supposedly playing Maxon, is almost forty. Maxon's nineteen. Also, hair can be dyed, but Grobglas is blonde, whereas America's red hair is pretty commonly mentioned in the book. Maxon's hair is supposed to be "like honey". Malarkey has dark hair, close to black. Geez.

The only actor I can actually picture as Maxon is him, and he's not even a well-known actor. For America, I would love Abigail Cowen or Madalaine Petsch. And I've always thought Emilia Clarke would be perfect as Amberly.

Aspen: Maxon's an entitled snob, you can't trust him.

America: Yes!

Maxon: America... Your best friend was caught cheating on me and if I don't have her beaten and thrown out, I'll be overthrown. I'm so sorry.

America: Why did you do that? I hate you!

Also America: I really, really don't want to hate you...

Maxon: *Lets Celeste kiss him to distract him from the chaos in his life*
